Title: [EDU] List of Bitcoin Scam Sites
Post by: minifrij on January 13, 2016, 08:03:07 PM
This thread has been retired. You can see the new thread by OmegaStarScream here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1978151.0).

Notice:
I have removed any obvious ponzi sites (E.G "Double your bitcoins in 2 days") from the list and they will not be added; everyone should already know to avoid these and adding them will only unnecessarily inflate this list. Faucets will also not be added to this list.

When reporting, please be sure not to include http:// in the URL, simply [domain].[ext].
When you suggest adding a site to the OP, you shouldn't use "http://" as this will create a backlink and will improve the sites rankings on google (and other search engines).
In addition, when reporting please include some type of reference. I am not going to add a site to this list just because you tell me to.

When you suggest adding a site to the OP, you shouldn't use "http://" as this will create a backlink and will improve the sites rankings on google (and other search engines).

Shouldn't we add Cryptsy ? I mean it's confirmed they are a total scam and the two billion thread out there can proof it .

It would be nicer of you would keep the list in alphabetically sorted order. Much easy to navigate. I think tomatocage had maintained the same order.

He had and I hadn't noticed since then. I've put the newly added sites in alphabetical order. Thanks.

Edited: How about adding this one mmmoffice.com
That is the ever popular ponzi of Sergey Mavrodi, they just cancelled all pending withdrawal's because they can't pay or assign to anyone who plan's to put money in.

I've added it to the OP with the MMM wikipedia article (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MMM_%28Ponzi_scheme_company%29) as the reference. If anyone has a better URL for the reference I can update it.

I've also removed bitcoinminerz.com from the Pending list since the domain is now parked and not active.

Thank you theymos!
It was most likely the Section mod, I'd go with Cyrus.

I'll add it to pending, since right now it does seem a bit suspect in my opinion (To PayPal, 0.5BTC minimum). If you can provide a scam accusation thread I will move it to the main list.

It was most likely the Section mod, I'd go with Cyrus.
I sent theymos a PM requesting it to be stickied the night prior, so that is why I went with theymos. If I am wrong, then thank you to the corresponding staff member!

I'm not related to Bitgold to anyway however I wanted to say that you may want to investigate more in their case , because there is a lot of people who are getting paid for them (I'm one of those people) and I always get paid for my referrals .
People who gets their account banned or funds frozen or something most of the time it's because they are abusing the referral system or carding or something .
So I'd suggest making a thread on Service Discussion and asking about the service once again and see ... (I can do that).

I second that, have used BG once and had no issues at all. Got my referral earnings, "first-time bonus" and have succesfully exchanged it with fullypak. Most of the people complaining are either ref spammer(alt account creators) or carders, if OP does want to keep them however, Pending would be more suitable

Going off of the thread linked in the reference people seem still to be having troubles with being rewarded and such as of fairly recently so right now I'm fairly inclined to still put it on the list, though it was on the original list that I reposted. I've done what mexxer suggested for now:

So I'd suggest making a thread on Service Discussion and asking about the service once again and see ... (I can do that).
Go for it. If people reply giving good criticism mostly I'll consider removing it from the list.

GoldxCash.net Is Scam

I Sent Money From My Skrill Account To GoldxCash.net "eCoins Exchange Service Provider", In Return of BitCoins To Be Sent To One of My BitCoin Accounts.

Skrill - Recipient's Name: Pavel Plastinin
Skrill - Recipient's Email: pavplst@gmail.com
Skrill - Amount: USD 1049.24
Skrill - Transaction ID: 1673784104
Skrill - Transaction Time & Date: 10:02, 18 Jan 2016 CET

The Web Site "GoldxCash.net" Promised To Send Money In 2-12 Hours & Gave No GoldxCash.net Transaction ID OR Transaction Confirmation Page/eMail

After The 12Hours Passed Without Receiving My BitCoins, I Sent Them Several eMails (support@goldxcash.net, service@goldxcash.net, pavplst@gmail.com), But Received No Responses, I Tried The Two Phone Numbers Mentioned On GoldxCash.net Web Site (+1-212-568-5211 & +1-347-632-8688) But Discovered Both Are Not In Service.

I Searched For GoldxCash.net On The Internet & Was Shocked To Discover They Are Reported By Several People On Several Web Sites, As Scam Web Site Specialized In Money Fraud Via eCurrency Exchange Services.

When I Contacted Skrill, I Was Informed That This Is Inter-Personal Money Send Transaction Which Means Irreversible. On The Contrarily, This Skrill Transaction Was Done By Being Auto Transferred, From Merchant Web Site GoldxCash.net, To A Web Page Were I Was Asked For My Skrill Login Credentials, So As The Merchant Can Withdraw Money From My Skrill Account, Which Means This Is Reversible eShopping Transaction.

I Already, Reported The Whole Case, To "Better Business Bureau" & "eConsumer.gov".

Titan Bitcoin. After "peeling" a sticker from one of their coins to redeem 1 btc, I was surprised to find only a 2FA code, not a private key. Tim Fillmore, president of Titan Bitcoin, informed me that this coin had been "already redeemed". The Titan Bitcoin "coin verification" site, however, shows the coin as "not yet funded", here:
https://www.titanbtc.com/verify/vFZKfWyJ/

This indicates that Titan Bitcoin has multiple databases tracking the states of their "2FA" coins, which are externally physically identical to their coins that actually hold private keys, and that there is corruption in their database. Tim Fillmore is telling me one thing while the coin verify site tells me a different story, and I'm out 1 btc. I have been scammed, and Tim Fillmore is implicated. That's all I can say here, as I have contacted the police and the FTC and they have started an investigation.

Also, a note for Tim: When picking someone to scam, choose somone who is not the compliance officer at a currency exchange. I am legally obligated to report you as a fraud suspect to certain government organizations now.

Hey there , I have a little suggestion .
It would be better to split website that are actually a scam and website that do phishing attempts so it becomes easy to find them on this list (It's getting bigger) .
also according to this : https://twitter.com/fatos305/status/688927264583454721
You should add Electrum.pw & Electrum.space because they are doing phishing attempts and trying to infect people .

Some days ago i tried to purchase my first bitcoins from https://www.bitcoin-ex.com/ using the bitcoin adress i have on electurm wallet (https://electrum.org/)

I payed by paypall (i tried their minimum amount...100USD). Paypall asked me to confirmation as usually i make during online payments. After one day i received the confirmation that payment has been accepted by "rufus owen"......

I was so stupid! and only today i read your forum .....

I need advices! what i have to do now? Is a good idea to contact Paypal asking for refund? what i have to say them? do i have to mention bitcoin?

thank you very much

I'm not sure it's a good idea to add them either , If we start adding faucets , you may have to add Ponzi schemes (shitload of them) too . So it's probably better to keep this list clean .

you should add COINURL as SCAM SITE or at least as fishy.

I got also banned from coinurl when I requested withdrawal (like many others too).
Before that someone of the support also checked my website if its okey with the rules, and they agreed.

But when it comes to their money (withdrawal)... BAN! BAN! BAN!

FUCK COINURL SCAMMERS

Unfortunately I cant proof, except showing that my account is banned (I cant login).

Hi minifrij, could you please add fanbitcoin.com to the list as well. It is a bitcointalk.org clone and most probably a phishing site. It looks dead alike and if someone lands there and forgets to check the link in the address bar(like I did) and enter your login info there, you'd get your account hacked.

I already got them added to the badbitcoin.org/thebadlist/

You can maybe contact CoinPayment's Help and Support (https://www.coinpayments.net/help-support) and see if they can help you. Otherwise, I am not sure. Thanks.

Also, would the two of you mind editing your posts?
When you suggest adding a site to the OP, you shouldn't use "http://" as this will create a backlink and will improve the sites rankings on google (and other search engines).

I STRONGLY suspect bitbuy.in of being a scam site.

Errors everywhere in the FAQ. looks like bitxim and bitdays.
When you pay, the paypal acount looks like bitdays and bitxim : sales."4 digit number"

Anyway, use at your own risk

Also, this wiki page seems to be hacked/edited as it links to 5 listed scam sites. BEWARE.

Since then I never heard back from the admins and I assumed it's a scam, but I've never seen anybody else confirm since then.  I'd love to have those 4 BTC at some other site!

But thank you a lot for this list of scam sites and to those people who add new likns here and new names of scammers. You all are making a great job!

I'm hesitant to add this, since your problems are caused by a flaw in the way that the system is made. If you weren't willing to accept that, you shouldn't have used the service.
I will see how this turns out in the coming days and weeks and make a decision then.

I don't think paxful should be here
Personally, I do. Over the three reference threads associated there are several different people claiming that the site is a scam. I don't believe that any site with that many scam accusations and such little response from support staff on said accusations should be trusted with anyone's money.

People are often scamming but they don't know the terms of using the service. Before they know it and read instructions they write they opinions talking about scam. Paxful isn't a scam site. Done there many trades as buyer and seller and everytime all went smooth.

I'm hesitant to add this, since your problems are caused by a flaw in the way that the system is made.

It's not a flaw in how the system is made, it's by design. It's a free service, that is designed to take the upside out of scamming someone. It does exactly what it's supposed to do, and is strictly better than just directly sending someone money. On every page of the site (especially so on the page before you send money, it reminds you there is no arbitration).

While it wasn't technically a flaw in the system, it was a flaw by design. The fact that there is no mediator in the escrow meaning that problems such as kassadin5's can arise is inherently a flaw in the system IMO. It's a shame that it was shut down, however it is perhaps something better left to humans.

Hello,
That is right we mailed you system is on beta test because it was.
1. you was the only member on our system because we didn't lunched our website in that time.
2. you didn't pay a penny in our website, how exactly we scammed you ?!
3. you registered in tournaments which you was the only player registered in them and they were not configured correctly yet, so you won 20K chips for each one in tournaments alone.
4. you use multiple accounts in our system and its forbidden according to our policy so in all online poker websites.
5. with registering in empty tournaments that not configured correctly yet, you received 60K Chips totally and submit a cashout request for those chips which they wasn't belongs to you.
6. all the records and multiple ip addresses you used and history and log actions of your accounts is available in our system. if its necessary we can post them here.

i think this user looking for some free stuff and take advantage in websites, sure you could use them in our website but like other players.
all of your accounts will be banned in our system for preventing any information changes by you.

Good Luck.

beta on pokermavens  what a joke looool

Your language shows who you are, are you angry because you could't steal money that not belongs to you. it's Ok.
the id of player you claim was "usertest" and it was a testing user, did you play with this player or any one else ? did you ever play with a player on any table even one hand ??
how exactly we close your other accounts which you registered with both of them in many tournaments ?
assuming we did closed your account, if you could't access to your account you should email us about that not creating another one, you must know these basic things you OLD POKER PLAYER !!
who did propose freerolls ? the only one was signup bonus for 200 Chips as starting and you received that too in your multiple accounts !! (at the time you created your accounts it was 200 and after we did settings up our system its 999 Chips now).
learn these things that any promotion or bonus is an extra option for all websites and businesses and it doesn't make you any rights. although we didn't any things wrong about that.
we wrote beta version but not in english, as you can see other things in our website is in english and other language.
and not when you want to withdraw, your request was there for 2-3 days, but we did't care about it, because we knew you gained the chips from empty tournaments and they was't belongs to you.
your problem is those 60K Chips that you received from many empty tournaments, with no any other participates, from an empty user website.
any other users could see we are not thief, maybe you are, because you think you are smart and you can take advantage of systems !!
good luck with that.

You should add BTC-e.com and Mayzus Financial Services (the owner) as they practice "selective scamming". They block accounts for various reasons (or no reason at all) and you never see your money again.

ppl complain about them all over the internet. I've done some research and it appears the owner, Mr Mayzus, is a politician in Kaliningrad. He is allegedly a member of the russian mob. His company was sentenced by the cyprus authorities for money laundering in March 2016.

I lost 1 BTC to them and I would caution others to be careful with BTC-e and Mayzus Financial Services.

I'll see how this pans out over the next week or two, though I don't see a huge problem in what PrimeDice is doing currently. They are a reputable company and I believe they will do the right thing.
You're also being very obnoxious in that thread by the way, doesn't help your point at all.

When u start betting thousands of dollars on one bet u will see thoisands of things wrong with that.
That's not the same situation though. This is about someone (who has made extremely improbable margins of profit) being temporarily unable to withdraw their funds while their account is scanned for fraudulent activity.
Not only this, but AFAIK they have already received half of their withdrawal. I would say that is more than fair considering the current situation, especially when said situation has not fully happened yet.

Also the fact that u think its trusted disnt mean it is.
While I do think the site is trusted, that isn't my reasoning for stating that the site is reputable. Stunna (the owner) is a very trusted individual in the community, and PrimeDice its self has had very few large complaints/accusations over the years it has ran (not to mention a lot of said accusations were made by scammers/trolls).
There isn't a site on this list that is there specifically because I trust or distrust it, hence why almost every site has one or more references as to why they are on the list.

I also trust most sites u have abused on this thread. But that dosnt mean theyy are trusted
I don't believe I have abused anyone on this list, nor did the previous OP. Sites on this list are there because they either stole BTC or products from someone, or did not resolve a situation which caused someone loss (whether monetary or other).

Please, Add Neteller-Exchanger.com To The List of Scammers.

Neteller Exchanger (Neteller-Exchanger.com) Web Site Provides Service of: Exchange Flat Currency Balances Between Different eWallets (Neteller, Paypal, Skrill, Payza, OKPay, PerfectMoney).

The Web Site Provides Fake Sitemap URL Link, & Even By Using Services Such As www.webnames.ca To Search For The Identity of This Scammer, No Information Is Available.

One of The Products They Offer Was "OKPay 50USD Balance" for 51USD Possible To Pay By Money Send From My Account In NETELLER (Magued_Samuel@hotmail.com) To Their Account In NETELLER (ex-neteller@fastservice.com) Which Incurs Additional 0.51USD Fees For NETELLER Itself. I Did Sent The 51USD To Their Specified Account, BUT, Waited For Weeks Now To Receive The Corresponding OKPay Balance, Without Any Progress.

They Have A "Request Call Back Option" On Their Web Site, BUT I Never Received Call Back, Despite I Tried Several Times. They Have A "Send Message" Option On Their Web Site, BUT, I Never Received Response. I Used The Phone Number Specified On Their Web Site, I Was Astonished The Responder Said This Is The Phone Number of Another Company & That He Knows Nothing About This  neteller-exchanger.com.

They Even Have A Registration System Before You can Place Orders, But Strangely "My Orders" Option Shows Zero Orders. While, At NETELLER Side, The 51.51USD Was Deducted From My Balance Under Transaction 179467890876941 On 07-Jul-2016.

I Contacted NETELLER To File A Dispute For This Transaction In-Specific, After Very Long Time of Maneuvering (Once By Claiming They Didn't Received The Transaction Information & Once By Claiming They Couldn't Understand My Complain & Once .....) They Responded By Refusing To Cancel The Transaction (Claiming Send Money Transactions On Neteller Are Irreversible) & Even Refused To Close The NETELLER Account of neteller-exchanger.com (of Course After Investigation) To Protect Other Prospect Victims.

Finally, I Filed Case In Better Business Bureau & Federal Trade Commission & eConsumer.gov, Against neteller-exchanger.com & Filed Complain Against Neteller Itself (For This Case & Other More Serious Cases) To The Financial Ombudsman Service of UK.

well, i can get the emails if you want me to.

I sent the documents they wanted and they kept asking weird stuff.

a document with my name and Iban on it, which i got from the bank and sent.
the document needed to be in english, which i got from the bank and sent
then the document need to be signed by a bank clerk, which i got and sent
then the document needed to be rubber stamped, which i got and sent

after all this bullshit, they never emailed me back and never replied to my multiple emails on the subject. they didnt aprove or deny it... they just left me in Limbo. you'll find similiar situations by googling "HitBTC scam". if you go there, BTC and LTC to fiat trade as 10%+ premium, want to know how? people want to get their crypto back, because they can't withdraw fiat.

HitBTC is a complete scam. they didnt steal my money (which i would not be supprised if they did), they just promote a service they do not have which is fiat support.

Paxful shouldn't be on this list. I've been trading on Paxful for over a year now, without problems. Of course, I ran into people on the platform that are scammers a few times (just like on Localbitcoins), but the Paxful moderators have always resolved disputes fair and quickly, and were responsive when I reported scammers.

Regarding the references given, they all seem to be from people that didn't use 2FA. That makes your account very vulnerable for hacking.

Over 2,400 BTC is traded every week on Paxful. They don't deserve to be on a list of scammers.

Agree. Paxful is a peer to peer trading site no different than LocalBitcoins. I have made over 1400 trades on Paxful and rarely have problems. When I do, Marcos is able to help me.

I have not had any issues with the site Paxful.
I have had to block many of the users.

they use bitgo, and some have had problems with withdraws getting delayed.

keep your trade in escrow.

when you withdraw send it to your own wallet, especially for time sensitive transactions.

use 2fa,
don't use tor.  especially if you don't know the exit node operator.

I don't know whether or not this is the right place but you should add coince as well.
They recently added 10 days pack with $500 minimum to invest and now after 3 days I haven't received my last withdraw.
However I only putted very small amount but just telling so people stop investing if they had any plans to do so.

No, we don't ask to send coin to us on our wallet. Each customers is free to decide broker where put his money (we only suggest to chek first on www.forexpeacearmy.com for see if broker is trustable) . We are working for website update, that is really poor.

I'm hesitant to add this one as it somewhat fits the description in the OP:
I have removed any obvious ponzi sites (E.G "Double your bitcoins in 2 days") from the list and they will not be added
While this may not be a legitimate ponzi site (as in it doesn't pay out), though it still fits the description.

I'm not sure If it fits the description honestly (Still , It's up to you to decide), as It's not really a ponzi scheme , It's more like a malware.
If you check both btc4gen.com and bitcoinonline24.com , you will see that they ask you to download "BTC generators" which are executables.

This looks like a scam promoter to me. His promoted site https://forexparadise.biz/ (https://forexparadise.biz/) may look nice and all but his promised profits can't be real, they are too high. (130 BTC profit in one year for "investing" 0.25 BTC)
The site he is advertising is a HYIP (High Yield Investment Program). This is essentially a fancy acronym for a Ponzi/Pyramid scheme. Due to this, I won't add this site to the list.
If you are worried about his reputation regarding this, you can feel free to create a thread in Reputation (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=129.0) about him for DT members to evaluate.

Warning! All these SCAM sites have same owner!

btcmixers.com
deepwebreviews.com
torwallet.com    http://3hinuo4cve4pdysb.onion/
bitlaunder.com   http://yxku52sygpn7oubv.onion/
darklaunder.com  http://3js2eg2fkmu24th3.onion/
coinmixer.net    http://x3lzzuvdhzl7cwiy.onion/
Anonymous Bitcoin Wallet:  http://6wzv5ynuqqcfehag.onion/

You can verify by yourself. All transfers go in same BTC addresses.
All these sites were opened all in same days!
The registrar of all these sites is the same!

I tried personally with little amounts. They scammed me.

If you go on btcmixers.com and deepwebreviews.com there are all FAKE reviews.
These 2 sites suggest ONLY Tor Wallet, DarkLaunder, Coinmixer and BitLaunder as good.
You can't submit a review. The scammer owner never approve your review.

These onion sites change url monthly. They changed url dozens of times.
Put all in first thread list of confirmend scams!

Add bitmanusa.com to the list please. This place says they sell miners in the USA, but do not deliver the products after payment.

I had to file a dispute via PayPal since they are still telling me after 14 days that they are waiting on an e-check to clear, lol! That check cleared long ago.

Bit-mix.com - Lost $200 to this site. Offer PayPal payments but it is setup as a personal payment so you cannot dispute. They accept payment quickly and then do not send BTC, payment status stays at Awaiting Payment. Support does not respond. Text on the site copied from CEX.io.

Just lost 0.53 BitCoin (now ~$330) on this www.goldxcash.net.  I didn't realize that scam sites were common with BitCoin.  I understand now.  I guess the internet is now full of BitCoin scams, and the sites that are stealing never go down (this site has been scamming hundreds of thousands I'm sure over the last year)

How do I add this to the top reference?  Also is there a way we can tie this list into a checker app of some sort?

URL :  beastminer.net/

Another guy asking people to download an executable to earn BTC . If you visit the download page beastminer.net/download/ you will get redirected to fastdownload.me/download/Seqn5afw2/BeastMiner-v1.47.zip/ . In that URL , you will see that he is claiming that the file is clean and secure but If you remove the additions from the URL and go back to Fastdownload.me you will see that there is nothing which means It's not an actual hosting website but he created it himself.

I thought about it little bit and I saw that the domain is .me and a scammer , he wouldn't want to spend much money and like I thought .. It was registered on Namecheap.com

https://i.imgur.com/Zk7dewO.png

It's not because It's too cheap but It's because Github Student package offers it for free (from Namecheap.com) , now If you click the red big "Download" button , you will get redirected to the real .exe in Github ! (the source code was removed) (obviously he bought only a domain without the hosting otherwise he would lose money on resources since he gets downloads)

Finally and the most important thing , It contains a virus :  https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/272361d6445ee06ccfee2c08a950ed126c63afdea8706ba30231836d516a799b/analysis/1477929975/

I hope I gave enough information's to get his website added to the list , I'm sure a lot of people are getting infected.

I attempted to make a Greasemonkey script to check if a website was on the list and display a warning if it was a while back, however got too busy to finish it. Perhaps I will attempt to recreate it sometime.

While the VirusTotal link only showed one infection, which could easily be a false positive, the gains that it is advertising is obviously fake. Added to the list, thank you for your continued reports.

you should add COINURL as SCAM SITE or at least as fishy.

Im not saying that they arent scammers.. I dont know... But this may have happened because this user is POSSIBLY scammer coinurl by fraudclicking. Just saying, people dont get paid by google adsense quite often and its usually because they bot their ads and fraud click them to get fake traffic aka steal revenue. I have gotten payouts from coinurl in the past, I will attempt to find proof although I am not sure if I can or not.

Since the previous thread by Tomatocage (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=928263.0) is now somewhat useless due to his inactivity I have decided to remake this list so it can be updated more regularly. I will also try to format it slightly better for easier readability. Thank you to Tomatocage for the original list.

Notice:
I have removed any obvious ponzi sites (E.G "Double your bitcoins in 2 days") from the list and they will not be added; everyone should already know to avoid these and adding them will only unnecessarily inflate this list. Faucets will also not be added to this list.

I'd like to add btcrocket.biz and btcrocket.net (those two are the same) because I didn't find it in the list on page 10, I'll be posting pics for reference but here's the thing:

I've deposited minimum to test it out, after a few days, tried to withdraw, withdraw pending for a few days, support is not answering. Also I've accidently typed .net instead of the .biz that I've tested and the same page came out, everything's the same but the database is different.

Both websites you guys mentioned are ponzi schemes and as OP said in the notice :

"I have removed any obvious ponzi sites (E.G "Double your bitcoins in 2 days") from the list and they will not be added; everyone should already know to avoid these and adding them will only unnecessarily inflate this list. Faucets will also not be added to this list."

So he won't be adding them any time soon.

You should add Genesis-Mining.com

It is a confirmed scam / fraud (check my thread if you are unsure we have plenty of testimonies) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1185909.msg12482453#msg12482453

I support this member. Genesis Mining should definitely be on the list to remove doubt to people who are new to bitcoin mining. Many websites still  promote it as a legit company, but a few websites have exposed it as an unethical company, e.g.

Bitport.net Is A Scam Web Site, On 2-Dec-2016 I Requested Withdraw of 2.15472392 BTC (Withdraw Request #1107 Date 02.12.2016 18:35), But This Withdraw Request Was Stuck As Pending Day After Day, Despite BTC Transfer Everywhere In General Takes Only Minutes.

I Complained Via Bitport.net Support System, Support Ticket (SQ16120040356), Though, My Complain Messages Got No Responses. After Updating My Support Ticket (SQ16120040356), Threatening To Publish Bitport.net Scam Action On Internet Web Sites Specialized In Publishing Crypto Currencies Consumer Experiences, I Finally Got Response That Bitport.net Suffers Technical Problems Which Results In Delay In BTC Transfer, With Promise To Transfer My BTC Amount Within One Day.

On 7-Dec-2016, My BTC Withdraw Request Was Set To Completed But The Transferred BTC Amount Was Only 1.18 BTC Instead of The 2.15472392 BTC, Furthermore, The Remaining Amount of 0.97472392 BTC Was Not Even Returned To My Currencies Balances On Bitport.net.

I Updated My Support Ticket (SQ16120040356), Reflecting The Missing 0.97472392 BTC Amount, BUT Only On 9-Dec-2016 I Got Strange Response Stating “Bitport.net Have Technical Problems And Customer Have To Wait Until This Is Solved To Receive Their BTC Amounts” Without Giving Any Promise Date.

On 9-Dec-2016 17:58, I Started Publishing This Scam Action From Bitport.net On Web Sites Specialized In Publishing Crypto Currencies Consumer Experiences, & Updated My Support Ticket (SQ16120040356) On Bitport.net Support System, Providing The Web URL Showing The Publishing of My Experience With Bitport.net, As Proof That I Am Serious In Publishing Bitport.net Scam Action On Internet Web Sites Specialized In Publishing Crypto Currencies Consumer Experiences.

As Response To My Action of Publishing My Experience With Bitport.net, On 12-Dec-2016 I Discovered That Bitport.net Erased My Account (Magued_Samuel@hotmail.com) From Their System, Inclusive All Sell/Buy/Deposit/Withdraw Transactions & Fund Balances & Know-Your-Customer Documents/Information & Support Tickets & etc...

I Am Working Now On Filing Case At BBB, FBI ICCC, FTC, eConsumer.gov, Against Crypto Currencies Trade Web Site Bitport.net, As They Confiscated 0.97472392 BTC of My Balance.

Bitgold is still in pending list , even though you added it to the official one. I recommend adding "Goldmoney.com" too, as It's the new name of "Bitgold.com" . If people googles first , chances that they will search using the new name are higher so It's better to add both names.

Has this site scammed anything from anyone? I don't know about adding something to this list without them actually stealing something.

1.  https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@wisdomx44/scam-alert-do-not-invest-in-genesis-mining
2.  http://kipicommunity.org/genesis-mining-review-is-it-profitable-to-mine-with-genesis-mining/
I was considering not adding this simply due to it being the customer's duty to be sure that their investments are profitable, however since it seems to be more a case of false advertising and there are multiple references I will add it. Thanks.

Bitport.net Is A Scam Web Site...
Added to the list. Thanks again.

Scam exchange  site   coinmango.com
Please provide some reference/source for your accusation, preferably in the form of a thread in Scam Accusations (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0) and I will consider adding it to the list.

Bitgold is still in pending list , even though you added it to the official one. I recommend adding "Goldmoney.com" too, as It's the new name of "Bitgold.com" . If people googles first , chances that they will search using the new name are higher so It's better to add both names.
Fixed and added. Thank you.

Please add the following scam sites to this list:

Torwallet.com - onion link: 3hinuo4cve4pdysb.onion
bitcointumble.com - onion link: d5zy5343sr4gonmu.onion
BitcoinCloudMiner.net

reference (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1724554.msg17259473#msg17259473) and explanation for all of the above links

Thank you!
Torwallet is already on this list, however I have added the clearnet addresses of the other two sites to the list with the reference specified. I haven't added the .onion addresses as I was told previously that said addresses change often. Can you confirm this? Thanks.

When you suggest adding a site to the OP, you shouldn't use "http://" as this will create a backlink and will improve the sites rankings on google (and other search engines).
Thank you for your thread . it's very useful for me to stay away with these bullshit sites because i'm a newbie here
I had hit some sites like this and I lost money for this.

.onion addresses work somewhat similar to Bitcoin addresses in that they both use a public/private keypair. Similar to Bitcoin addresses, it is unlikely that two people will generate the same .onion address based on the private key they create, and owners of .onion websites can use a "vanity generator" to create a "vanity" .onion address.
It is my understanding that the amount of resources it takes to generate a .onion address is similar to the amount of resources it takes to generate a Bitcoin address, however if you change the .onion address of your tor website, then you will need to tell anyone who wants to access your website your new .onion address (which creates security issues).
I understand that part. I was mainly concerning a previous post in this thread that reported the .onion addresses for sites owned by moriarty changed very often:
These onion sites change url monthly. They changed url dozens of times.
However, the onion site URL seems to have kept consistent from September to the time of your report, so I will add them to the OP. Thanks.
The onion addresses may change however they will never belong to someone else. Having the name of the site in the OP will probably suffice especially if users report the onion addresses in the replies as they will still show up in google search results.

This has been resolved.

1.  https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@wisdomx44/scam-alert-do-not-invest-in-genesis-mining
2.  http://kipicommunity.org/genesis-mining-review-is-it-profitable-to-mine-with-genesis-mining/
I was considering not adding this simply due to it being the customer's duty to be sure that their investments are profitable, however since it seems to be more a case of false advertising and there are multiple references I will add it. Thanks.

Thank you very much. I appreciate it. By the way, thank you for the time you're putting into this list. It's a great job you're doing.

I have another to add to your site;

Sharkoin.com It appeared to be legit but I soon found out it is a total fraud. I had played on this site for a few days making numerous deposits but no withdraws. Then suddenly I had a streak of luck an accumulated $1600. worth of bitcoins. I decided to cashout my winnings and perhaps return again sometime. Not so easy to say the least. The site operator began citing rules that I had broken and therefore wasn't going to pay me. First he said that I had been playing on more than one account, which I had, one on my mobile and one on my desktop but there were no rules stating that I couldn't. The he said I was using bots or robots (which I wouldn't know where to get or even uses these bots or robots) which was totally not true. In the end I asked him that if he had all these rules how was I supposed to know when none of them were on his website. He told me they were listed but when I showed him the screenshots of all the Google "last update" cached pages from the time I joined his site with no such rules, and the the most recent site that contained Google date and time stamp showing where he added these rules the same day he emailed me the reasons he wasn't paying me. It was at this point when I pointed out what he had done, he stopped responding to my emails.
Visitors to this site should be very careful about making deposits. He may pay out small "Cashout Requests" less than $50.00 to keep the scam going for as long as possible, but sizable withdraws will not be sent.

I have posted on this forum in the past (about a year ago) and it was a post where I came to the defense of Bitcoinvideocasino.com , I was tired of people posting false negative information about them and I felt the need to tell what my experience had been with them and that I thought they were the best online casino I had ever played and in fact had won several large jackpots and was paid everytime. So with that said, I'm not some kind of anti gambling quack that's just trying to lodge a false complaint, I'm just tired of being scammed by the people like the people behind Sharkoin, it's giving the entire bitcoin community a bad name. Everytime I try to introduce someone new to bitcoin I hear the same thing about oh that's that ecurrency that everybody scams each other out of.

Thank You, John Cabell

Globalreveneu.net is scam site, I should understand from .net but anyways.
It was offering bonus on opening which was 11 days ago. I put some bitcoin in it plus bonus,
Offers %30 in 5 days. After 2 days they deleted bonus after 4 days they raised minimum deposit. I have request on withdraw from last week. ( the site says payments are daily) nope no paying back anything.

Do not buy from wallminer.com  . The prices are just ridiculously cheap, especially for non-existing miners. I placed a test order from them since it's one of the few "companies" excepting PP. Needless to say, order is in "shipped" status all this time. 2 weeks ago asked for tracking - no reply. A week ago asked some Chen guy in their chat again, and yeah, he could not locate my name and address by the order number ... He said after contacting distribution he'll send me tracking # via email. Yeah, right. Starting PayP claim today. There is another one I tested "JSKom.com" - same story. No tracking. Placed orders on the same day.

These are 100% scammers, stay away.

Update: Opened both claims. JSKom.com is no longer registered and "seller is unavailable" on PayPal.

just registered to inform you about thisSCAM and NEVER send anything to those people!!

their website: http://www.pmvf.net  & https://mercury.gl/    - BE CAREFUL!

They started some months now the BTC scam. Before they had scam named Mercury and after changed name to Bokobok. They ran a ponzi scheme and steal people money. After some period they say you need to re-invest and bring more people(friends) to join the system to have your commision of course on that and some of your payments.... 1000% PONZI scheme.
They are from Kiev but the big boss not live there anymore... Check in Moldova lucky for the victims the police did make arrestes you can search youtube for mercury moldova and you see with your eyes...

i repeat, do not send to them anything! they are scamming people for many years now...

using internet archive you can see all details... they deleted videos from youtube and any other information that can lead to them but look here http://web.archive.org/web/20151022071314/http://ua.pmvf.net/

www.bitcoinatrade.com

Just lost 2BTC to them and they're still asking me to give them another 2BTC

I used www.bitcoin-a-trade.com to turn 0.1 BTC last week to fiat in the UK last week. The transaction went very smoothly and within 30 mins I had the cash in my PayPal account.

However, in the last 48 hours I have sent them 0.5BTC, had no response from them, eventually they emailed to say due to high demand their systems can only take a minimum of 2BTC. They asked in me in a series of emails to add another 1.5BTC to make 2BTC and they would credit my PayPal account with a rate above preev.

As you can imagine I totally uncomfortable with this level of exposure, I emailed them pointing out the obvious concerns, they emailed several times over a 12-hour period reassuring me that they would credit my PayPal account immediately.

Me with my ‘greed’ and the ‘mug’ I am I sent the additional 1.5BTC. You guessed it………..

Surprise, surprise I get an email from them, saying their systems could not process the 2BTC, I need to add another 2BTC making it 4 BTC and they would pay out immediately, at above preev and charges to me.

By now the greed had cleared from my eyes, I asked for my initial coins back.

Long story short, am being told it will take up to a week to get my 2 BTC sent back to me.

I know I have been conned.
I’ll be lucky to get my 2 BTC back.

I’ll be keen to hear from anyone who has dealt with bitcoin-a-trade.com good or bad experiences.

My two satoshi advice……….stay well clear.

FASTBETS.io works for people who don't win much, but if you win a lot (which is the goal, right) massive issues.  Do NOT put money into this site my withdrawal failed to propagate to the blockchain due to too low of fees.

I have sent 4 emails with no response.
Burns has not been under his normal login for 4 days since he possible stole 0.522732 BTC which is currently worth  $925.80 at the typing of this letter.

I will update this post if they make it right by sending me my money.  Until then  RUN away with your money and don't put it into this site.  I have proof that part of my money went to a BTC wallet that Burns owns.

Fastbets.io please send the 2 amounts back to me that I have highlighted in red.  If you log into my account you will see they never propagated to the blockchain.  The Hashes do not exist.  Thanks

You should probably think about adding Coinsbank.com unfortunately. They have some serious scam accusations against them on the section. I suggest checking them out and ask for further details before making up your mind, the company didn't make any statements, not everyone has faced these issues though.

Kindly review BTC38,  i think they started to become a SCAM exchange.

Got error on withdrawal and the coins vanished.

send ticket to them and they keep ignoring to my query. they simply tell that they dont understand my ticket.

just want to ask to my fellow traders there. are you having same problem?

its already a week and still i cant get back my coins.

FYI..

i already sent 7 tickets there still no clear answer from them.

Just stumbled over this site

bitcnation.com

Registered 15 days ago, which is very suspect isnt it...

Also prices are way under market.

Plus it actually says ? Copyright 2017 Coinmama

I am sure its not legit... Specially considering a google search for coinmama + bitcnation.com gives nothing, and I am sure coinmama would have made some kind of announcement about it if it was their site.

Please have a look.

I'm still new to this. I'm looking for some tips on determining legit and fraud. In other words, how can I tell a good investment from a scam.

The websites that simply promise to double your bitcoins after a period of time = scam, period. Then, we are ICOs where you could invest into t, you must look to the team (the developers and If they are able to deliver that project), escrow, and such details, usually, If you check those as should be, you should know If the project is something serious or another shitcoin scam.
Finally, we have exchanges and gambling sites. You can't really tell for sure since sometimes they start legit and turn into a scam. The only advice I can give here is to not store your bitcoins in their sites for long term, just trade or whatever and withdraw instantly.

can you add litebit.eu to the list please?

was recently scammed by whoever operates the website. transferred €500 to their bank account 2 weeks (!) ago. they claim they never received anything, although i sent them a bank statement that proves the exact opposite.

I'm still new to this. I'm looking for some tips on determining legit and fraud. In other words, how can I tell a good investment from a scam.

A few tips:
One good way is to look for reviews/reports on this site.
Also if it's too good to be true that's often an indication.
Many also claim they are operating since so and so long or have so many customers/orders to gain trust. Look at the whois records of the site. Often scam sites are not online since a long time.
Ponzi shemes want you to make many referrals. Search the web if many people actually do referals in order to keep the scheme running.
So called "free mining" scams often steal photos of mining farms/CEOs from other sites. Do google reverse image search on images you find on suspicious sites.

Well known wiki:
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/How_To_Buy_Bitcoins_With_Your_Credit_Card (https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/How_To_Buy_Bitcoins_With_Your_Credit_Card)

Scammers making a change to the wiki to put themselves in the top position.  They close the site, make a new one, then change the wiki to the new site.

Just a bunch of replacements of position 2.1 in the last couple months.  Every change is the scam site.

coin-mu.com (http://coin-mu.com)

You should've guessed just by looking at the huge rates they have compared to the other exchanges, you will need a scam accusation with the proper format If you want them added to this list.

As I have been neglecting this thread significantly overtime, I have requested OmegaStarScream to take over maintenance of it. This is as he has always been an active contributor and has always backed up his claims with accusations in the format that I have requested.

You can find his new thread here - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1978151.0

As a result, this thread is being retired. Please follow the new thread by OmegaStarScream.
