Title: Alternate Coins
Post by: rajat08 on January 15, 2016, 05:24:02 AM
I am new to Crypto Currency so just don't mind if my questions are stupid.

I am curious why people invest in alternate coins. They don't value much in market as much as compared to bitcoins.

Any suggestion of alternate coin which is easy to earn and value much is welcome.

altcoins dont have much value like bitcoins coz they are only like secondary currency from bitcoins and most people buy altcoins to use in trading coz trading can make profit fast if you know what you are doing

Sadly most are pump and dump anymore which means there are a lot of coins... and a lot of crap coins.  Personally I keep most of mine in BTC.  I'm mining BTC and holding it long term.  That is my strategy.

You can gain quick with altcoins but can lose just as fast.

You should be looking for their market caps and volume when trading with alt coins. Try finding some tutorials for altcoin trading in the forum, they do share these stuff here. Also watch out for the suspicious devs some alts are just there to scam, scamming is common occurrence here.

Yaa...That's my point. I don't see much people earning by trading altcoins.

is the same way why many invest in dead stocks, they have somehow a good chance to grow big, because they can be pumped easily by anyone, since their volume is a joke

People invest in altcoins for the same reason they invest in bitcoin, with the expectation the value will go up and make a shit load of money with it.

Depends on what coin u mean..in terms of these shitcoins it's mostly about fast profit, in coins like digibyte, groestl etc it's about investing to innovation.

some altcoin created just for scamed eveyone, if you invest at wrong place you will lose your money (bitcoin)
but some altcoin created with better performance some "unique fiture" like dashcoin, monero, dogecoin, litecoin and you can take profit by buying altcoin

im buying altcoin just for trade it no more

monero - That's a new name (coin) I haven't heard of.
Whats the biggest altcoin that has scammed many people? How much approx. value they have scammed is US dollars?

Its takes lots of time to find these shitcoins and people interested in buying these coins. Its very time consuming method.

Thanks now i got the point of Alternate Coins roll in the market, by your reply it means that if anyone get inside info of some dead stock that will rise and some brokers use that company stock and manupulate and earn money, same like their are so many who are using this alaternate coins in the market and group of this start playing in market by buying and selling and creating awarness of that coin but when they achieve their target they leave that coins.

Wow, good strategy like this scammers earn huge.

Well, this is acutally a question for altcoin section.

I guess people invest in altcoin because they have much more potential. If you buy an altcoin for 1 $-Cent each, you can easily make 100-300% within days and weeks. Bitcoin price is not that dynamically anymore.

Bitcoin is still very dynamic in movements.  Look at past 24 hours, and 48 even.  It is far from a set rate so investment in BTC can have big movement.

I think it will always remain more dynamic then most good countries fiat.   But that is part of what makes it so much fun.

This is not a stupid question actually.

Contenders with "first-mover" advantages are never the ultimate winners in a market competition. Just ask Netscape or the Webcrawler.

Once the people of this world wake up and discover, they've been scammed by central banks for decade upon decade, they won't want US Dollars, Euros, or Yen. The people will demand digital currencies, and bitcoin is for all intents and purposes the Model T (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Model_T)

The dodges, porsches, and chevrolets are being built today in the altcoin space. Bitcoin will survive, but most likely will be relegated to a lower position on the crypto totem. People invest in altcoins because they understand this fact and are hoping to bet correctly on which coin will win the race.

They also invest to become part of history. As cryptocurrencies will become more important than the internet itself.

Very well stated and completely true.
