MLK (Martin Luther King) Black Civil rights activist.......Profound Speaker. Speeches that will be in the history books forever.


Problem: The holiday for MLK is not a paid Holiday for low income workers or "Minimum Wage" workers.  It seems only Federal and City Employees get paid for this so called "Holiday" but yet most Black workers are Low income or Minimum wage workers.


So wouldn't this make it a Middle-Rich Class Holiday? Basically eliminating Most of the Black population from getting paid for this Holiday?

just for Arguments sake.....I DON'T get paid for this Holiday and i'm White.

By your logic, only white people are middle class?

No Sir.    The Holiday is "Paid" only for Government and State workers......Private Corporations need not abide to this. Which eliminates most Minorities and myself.   It's a Holiday for the Rich or Middle Class.....The working man which includes Blacks and Myself (White).

This Goes against everything MLK died and lived for.

Just because it isn't a paid break from work it doesn't mean it's not a meaningful event for them.
