Title: mining dogecoin using linux Post by: marbu1022 on January 18, 2016, 01:47:06 PM Hey guys and gals, I want to know if it is possible to mine dogecoin using my gpu on my linux box? FYI, I run Fedora with an Intel Haswell Mobile GPU. I have been searching the net, but so far I have found cudaminer, which requires an nvidia card, and cgminer, but from what I understand, the latest version does not support GPUs. ASIC devices took over ALL Scrypt coins about 2 years ago as far as profitable mining goes. Don't even THINK about trying to mine anything with INTEL joke graphics - their performance has always been 3+ generations behind AMD or NVidia at best. For perspective, the lowest-end AMD A-series GPU blows away the TOP Haswell piece of junk across the board - and A-series GPUs are VERY LOW END by AMD standards. Very bad idea to do ANYTHING with a laptop 24/7 - they're NOT designed for continuous operation as a general rule.
