It is true that you can buy some things with bitcoin in some stores and all. But mainly Bitcoin has come to be an investment/stock, similar to gold some say. I am quite happy with the possibility of earning it in the internet by simple means (banners, faucets, posting, doing small tasks and works) internationally and without so much government control, and also about speculating with it. I would love it would become a widely used currency and be able to pay everywhere with it... But would not be angry if it remained as it is now (used by some, with the ability to be transferred and earned through internet).

What do you think?

I would like it to be accepted worldwide, so I can spend it anywhere anytime, but not if the nodes become centralized, because well we have fiat already for that ...

We can achieve worldwide acceptance thanks to Lightning Network, while keeping it safe from goverment intervention and so on.

Yup i would also be happy if it becomes worldwide using currency..
And can be used everywhere..
But if it will centralized than what about fiat as said above me..
And if bitcoin remains as it is.. well i have never thought about it that anytime it will be stable..

no, i need the price to be much higher, to buy more things, because sadly i'm not sitting on thousand bitcoin

and adoption means also more website that accept bitcoin, that can help the usage of bitcoin itself, which is needed

I love it the way it's at the moment and if I would like to change anything would be to make it different in a way that the prices doesn't get manipulated easily by those who own a large amount of Bitcoins, whenever they want with their plans, not sure if it's possible but thats the only thing I would like to change.

Your honesty is wonderful and i too would like to see it at least over 1k before i started spending more than usual. Most of us are not sitting on that many either you are not alone. Im thinking over wanting the price to be higher i would prefer for the adoption of btc where i can spend it nearly anywhere that i pleased. I believe that is a matter of time.

I like it like it is right now. If it is accepted as a currency then maybe taxes will be imposed on it and you need to declare all profits to the revenue agencies. Now it's a little bit like the Wild West but it's has its advantages.

Taxes on what? Bitcoin is currency normally you don't see currency taxed, we have indirect taxes added to the value of goods like VAT, and all items you can buy with bitcoin already are taxed.
Taxing bitcoin further will be unfair in comparison with standard FIAT currency.

Bitcoin has already a good standing for what I am going to use it. A broader acceptance would be great like the service coinimal which allows to pay on Amazon Germany. This would extend the usage of Bitcoin.

People are waking up to the fiat ponzi scheme being perpetuated by the banking system.  And when the people of this planet wake up and discover that they've been lied to for hundreds of years, they won't want US Dollars, Euros, or Yen. The people will demand digital currencies like Bitcoin (and others).

Why do you think that governs will tax bitcoin? If its accepted as a currency for governments they couldn't tax it. Dollars, and other currencies aren't taxed. In some countries gold coins (inversion gold 0.999)  aren't taxed. I don't see why governments would tax it.

Exactly, bitcoin needs to stay away from banks. I want to buy bitcoins from people not from banks, I want to do whatever I want with my bitcoins. I don't want loans with bitcoins from banks, I'm fine getting them from other people. There is no need for any organization to control bitcoin, we are fine as it is.

I feel pretty much exactly the same as for now i have not used bitcoins to buy anything i us it mainly as a investment , but i would be happy if i could use my bitcoins in the stores but like it is right now i would not use them in the store anyway becuse in a couple of months the price could have gone up and then i would just be kicking myself for spending them instead of saving them. In the future when the price dont have such swings as it have right now i would gladly use it to pay with.

I would like for more people and countries to adopt to bitcoin. Bitcoin is constantly growing, it's hard to imagine that bitcoin will stay the way it is right now.

Maybe someday we'll have a more stable market once everything is mined, this would all depend on the demand for bitcoin.

Yes, I can use my Bitcoin easily on the internet. I don't care if shopping malls etc. accept it or not. I probably won't use Bitcoin for buying a coffee or a baby diaper from market anyway. I think internet has enough capacity for Bitcoin.

Yes i'm happy with bitcoin remained now. i'm also invested on bitcoin, and bitcoin help me to not using real money for paying or buying something. and also can earn it on internet though.

Of course not! I want BTC to grow with one billion people using it every day. I want to buy a car with BTC and use it for all my businesses. That also means I hope all faucets will disappear, and BTC gambling websites as well. This should be the main change. BTC should be used for business first.

No, I wouldn't be happy with the current status of Bitcoin! Hopefully it will get through the current difficult time of block size increase difference. Then we will see the stable price and adoption increase.

Honetly, I've been waiting for the price to set low for a while so hat it is easier or much cheaper to et bitcoins but I still want it to rise up. That's the main reason why I've been saving bitcoins and I think other people has the same reason why they are holdi into their coins. We've allbeen waitig for the coins price to rise but i it will remain this low then maybe it is not that bad at all.

I would to see it go better it has potential to be the main online payment processor people will prefer it because of the very small fee anonymity and you have total control of your funds,I have been limited by these popular online payment processor several times in the past and bitcoin solve my problem

We couldn't control the price. The high volatility is a serious matter to scare many ppl away! I expect billions  of ppl are adopting Bitcoin! Then Bitcoin will be a standard way of payment and will be stable!

It seems extremely hard for bitcoin to find stability because when a big business adopts bitcoin the price spikes up, for how long though? The next day bad news about bitcoin, panic sellers read the news, dump bitcoin again and so on. When will bitcoin find the stability if that keeps happening, how can we prevent it? I don't see a good solution right now.

Bitcoin shouldn't stay as it is... the protocol allows constant growing potential and scaling up. Bitcoin will dead if it stay as it is now.

To be honest this is pretty good price, i'm expecting rise but who knows this is a good price .
I would like to see great dump and panic and btc at 20 dollars and everybody on exchanges would like that..

it's a difficult question, if the bitcoin price today is $ 1,000 maybe I immediately said yes, but if the price is like at the moment I do not think so, I hope bitcoin prices higher again and stable so that users happy

while this state, being an investment, is good and it has been profitable to a lot of traders and me as a very smaller part of it but i still want to see bitcoin become an actual currency which is used as much as fiat and replace credit cards someday.

i am definitely happy with what bitcoin did for me. it allows me to store my value without the need for a bank or other third party. bitcoin has made the financial world think different about their old fashion way of handling payments etc. it's a great achievement for bitcoin that the technology is getting positive world wide attention.

I am quite happy with the current bitcoin prices. not too small. but I would be happy if bitcoin could go back to touch the price of $1000. because I really have never sold my bitcoin in the price of $1000 :(

I was happy with the price. But will be very happy if it reaches and crosses the margin of 400$. Even now in such drastic fall also it has given a lot of earnings.
There is no worries if it gets stable within a fixed range.

No I wouldn't be happy because Bitcoin just has started to grow. The layers have to be worked out. On those layers new companies will be created with ideas and services we might not think of right now. Way moe people around the world shall use Bitcoin.

in terms of price yeah I'm happy. but I am still not happy, because in my country still rare online stores that accept bitcoin, so I can not spend my bitcoin for online shopping.

As you said we can be happy with Bitcoin as it is now. I agree with this. However, as a wise person once said: "Anything that is not advancing starts degrading". And I agree with that too.

So I wish first of all more people know about Bitcoin, and I wish their knowledge about it was a positive one. And then IMO all the other good things will be attached.

I would be happy for the price to remain around the same but in the next few years for me to hang about we really need to be accepted by many online stores and people actually have to use their btc to buy things or all this will be a waste of time should people continue to hoard when we get new stores accept then discontinue due to lack of interest.

Yeah price is little fine when compare with last year dump. Due to block halving price will not fall too much as well.

This is the time to buy a bitcoin and hold. better thing We hold it for long time. its classic idea but worth in future.

If we say we only want Bitcoin to be a commodity, then what value will it have if you cannot spend it anywhere? The thing that gives Bitcoin value < If you do not convert to Fiat > is the fact that you can stay within Bitcoin and spend it, without having to convert it to Fiat.

The conversion process includes extra fees and it involves the Fiat system. The whole goal of Bitcoin is to eliminate the centralized traditional systems and to take control of your own finances. These institutions generate income from your money and exclude the people who are too poor to pay their fees.  

Mass adoption is still lacking and price fluctuating, but right now I'm happy, Bitcoin is still Bitcoin. Still waiting for the day that Bitcoin will the  conquer world and  I know that it's impossible, it's just a matter of time.

While i'm satisfied with what it is now, i'm sure I'd be more happy if the price goes up in short time. I'd rather spend my coins every now and tehn than simply keeping them in hopes to get higher. This is simply helping the economy of btc. I'm sure it also help making it more valuable. Spending it everywhere will help the mass adoption in time.

No, I just want the price of bitcoin go down for a while, where I could grab some cheap coins, and then let the price skyrocket, either to $500 (somewhat higher than the level of now), or as other says, $1000, so that I can buy a lot of things online with the bitcoins :)

But they alway will bring us bad news in order to pull price down.
So just watch news and enjoy..Price is good always if you exit on time and if you jump on , on time!

I would not be happy if bitcoin would stay the way it is, I would even be disappointed.

Bitcoin has so much potential and endless possibilities, it would be a shame if we left the utility at just the tip of the iceberg.

For now it is a nice way to earn some side income which can potentiall increase in value quite a bit, but I'm still waiting on day to day use cases and higher values.

I would be quite sad if Bitcoin remained the way it is now. It still has a long way to go and if we stop here, a lot of people will be sad.

Ah, I don't know where you are located but in the US, the IRS does know about bitcoin and they want their piece of the action. They consider it property for tax purposes. I don't think they think - or care - that they are being unfair

I do not want to try to buy too much, because we can not guarantee the price will really rise after halving.

I'll try to get to some of my methods, but do not buy. just grow my bitcoin.

I would have to say no, bitcoin has a lot of potential that it hasn't reached yet.

I would like to see more people adopting to bitcoin as well, at least have some more people use bitcoin as an alternative currency.

I am quite happy with the current situation. bitcoin is currently quite stable. if you can expect I prefer bitcoin have a stable price compared to having a high price.

True that this price is kinda stable for now also is not something new that bitcoin is droping.
For sure we will see bitcoin price going up again, do you thing after halving will go to 1000 dollars? If so I think that is drop is nice to buy as much bitcoin as you can.

Blockchain is greater technology with lots of benifits that outweight the FUD.

up the price. Bitcoin as a commodity and a investment vehicle limits it's functionality and like gold I want it to be used for many things. Lots of people compare gold with Bitcoin

and Gold are used for many things from conductors of electricity in computer chips to jewelry and a investment commodity. Bitcoin should also be able to do that..  ;D

i want to add that if you understand how bitcoin network and halving work, you should already now the answer of the OP, bitcoin can not remain stable, because of the way the contorlled supply is built

Will if it is stable around the 500 dollars I think I will be quite happy with it.
But the experiment of it I think will be failing.

Not really, look at litecoin halving, it had no effect whatsoever on litecoin when it happened, not even days before or after. The same can happen with bitcoin, halving doesn't mean the price will increase because it doesn't need to if a lot of miners stop mining and the difficulty drops.

because litecoin has a different asic approach and cost, also the halving was still the first, from 50 to 25, so you should compare it to the first bitcoin halving

the first halving is still meaningless, because there is still enough coins to be mined for the miners, but when other brutal halving(12.5, next one, 6.75 etc...) will enter in play you will see their effect

My answer would be a strong 'No". I always dreamt of bitcoin sitting at over $1000! And I am  still hopeful that bitcoin price would surely touch that heights again in near future.

Yup, if bitcoin price reaches to $500 and then if it remains stable for a longer time then many of us would be really happy, as people who have bought at present would earn profits out of it, no doubt $500 would not be the best price for the buyers who wants to invest their money into bitcoins, but for the sellers it would be the price to sell their bitcoins.

Bitcoin need to grow even bigger and be known to all people all over the world, it can't be just like this. But it can't also be just like the old time when a Bitcoin even not worth a $10
