Hello, I am offering a  service for selling Saffron. It has may characteristics such help to overcome depression. It makes people more happy and good spice for foods.

The price depends on the value that you ask. now for values more than 100 grams it is 4$ gram and for small amounts it is 5$ per gram, for example shipping costs to India is about 19$ for 4.5 grams and for most of European countries it is 20$. For bigger values for example 1 kg it is 300$ for European countries and a bit less for India. If we want to send more than 1 kg for extra kilograms, shipping cost is 100$, so for example if we want to send 1kg to Italy costs, considering the 4$/gram, it is=(cost of saffron+shipping cost)=(1000*4$+300$)=4300$ although 1kg is very big amount for this Gold plant.

Price depends on  the quantity. It is originated from Iran and for sure since I am connected with producers you can ensure from quality. It is completely pure and if you need some standards I can guarantee it. Prices depend on quantity since shipping and other costs depend on it.

From where are you shipping? Giving saffron high per-kilo price, expedition cost should be roughly the same for dire rent quantities. Is it whole or powdered? How much for a gram or two?

Would this not be considered a food when it sent to other countries and confiscated by border patrols at immigration crossing as such?
Maybe listing as spice is different but you ever see those shows on tv about airport authorties? They do checks at mailing port too for this.

It is whole but can be powdered, although we prefer extracted from flower. The price strongly depends on where we want to sell it.

It can be used in medicine industry too to create some anti-depression medicines. Yes they do, if value is more than some grams then some legal processes can be used.

Saffron seems to have some antidepressants effect via serotonin modulation it's true, but it's costly, and no more effective than unexpensive ssri's like prozac.

I don't know in Iran, but with royal mail you can send a standard 100g letter from UK to iran for 2 pounds:

And spice is not mentioned under prohibited or restricted items.

That would be the only issue. But since Iran and India (where I am from) have had good relations in the past and both of our countries produce and export Saffron it really won't be an issue. However the shipment company used might be a problem as I have had many of my international small packages lost / stolen before.

Tomorrow I will ask. The prices are really cheap but I am not sure about conditions of delivery.

Hello to all who asked for saffron, sending saffron even for small values need customs and passing standards so I am asking about price of doing these and it must not affect a lot on price.

I updated the information of the post and provided more information about my service. The shipping cost is from 18$ to 23$. For every gram I take 4-5$ and the qualities of saffrons are guaranteed and from the highest qualities saffrons.

For those who do not know what is saffron and how it is extracted here is a small trivia for them:

Saffron is a plant. The stigmas (male reproductory part of the flower) are dried and are used to make saffron spice like the first picture shown in op. It can take 75,000 saffron blossoms to produce a single pound of saffron spice. It is largely cultivated and harvested by hand. Due to the amount of labor involved in harvesting, saffron is considered one of the world's most expensive spices.

Saffron is largely known to cure Alzheimer’s disease (within 22 weeks), depression, premenstrual symptoms and menstrual discomfort.

Although there are some side effects of consuming more saffron than the critical amount like dry mouth, low BP, allergies, dizziness etc. but we should look more on its nutritional values:

For God's sake this is not any kind of weed that most people generally take! LOL!
Apart from its medicinal value this is used mainly as a spice to add wonderful flavors in some recipes.

Saffron is very luxurious. I personally love its taste and feel, I'd recommend it, it has so many uses and is especially great for food.

No, it is iranian saffton and it produces the most saffron  in the world. Spain exports iranian saffrons many times

For 5 grams price is 23$ and shipping cost is 16$. The price of safron may change a bit under changing price of dollar to iranian currency.

It was opened by the custom but seems that it's still intact. Seems that sending saffron is OK for both Iranian and Italian custom (and I think it should be the same in all eu).

Actually it's at my parent's home (i'm never at home so I deliver packages to their address), I told them to try some and let me know how it is. I will report their feedback, and give mine asap.

Hi there, shipments are done from Iran which is the source of saffrons and biggest producer of saffron.

Hmm. Might make shipping a bit pricy. BUT the few times I have bought it locally it is very expensive, so this may be the lower price route.

I think it will take about 23$ for far countries, although for countries in America continent, esepcially for south America I am not sure about it.
