These were high tech at the time and upgrading / replacing them is way more costlier than to get expensive floppies. I have a Chinese supplier but the cookie manufacturer there is shutting down, I have one supplier from US but his rates are a bit on the high. Sony shut down their factories in 2013 with only Imation and a few other chinese companies manufacturing them. India and Japan still require a million pieces of floppies every year. Zip disks/drives and other 100mb disks never made it big.
