If you really think hard enough and I think you can, not many people who would have such stocks would be from India. The reason for duplicate topics are simple, two different kinds of people will see it, one that already have it IN my country, the other who don't.

If you are going by amazon and ebay listings then you have already lost the game. Stuff on there are sold by sellers who overprice them. I myself have sold floppies on ebay that cost me $10 to purchase for $69.99.

Well, that's fine, but I haven't lost shit, i was just noting that they are more expensive now than they used to be, at least from a glance from online retail at least. post better links if you can do better, as you are apparently the only dude on planet earth right now wanting 8k pieces of 1994. LOL.

Edit. Maybe these 1995-ish looking cunts will help you. http://www.athana.com/html/diskette.html

You have no idea mate. Back in the 90's many industrial machines were built to last for 50 years and they were floppy dependent. These were high tech at the time and upgrading / replacing them is way more costlier than to get expensive floppies. I have a Chinese supplier but the cookie manufacturer there is shutting down, I have one supplier from US but his rates are a bit on the high. Sony shut down their factories in 2013 with only Imation and a few other chinese companies manufacturing them.
India and Japan still require a million pieces of floppies every year.

I'm not being sarcastic here:  That was the most interesting thing I read all day.  I thought floppies all went the way of Zip drives and such.

Zip disks/drives and other 100mb disks never made it big. They didnt last long enough for large machinery manufacturers to do anything with them

I need around 6k - 8k floppy discs leave me a message or post here or on the original post here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1336525.0

Discs should be delivered to India. Looking for rates around $0.19

Nice crab in your profile picture. Were you an EOD tech?

Best of luck on the floppy disk purchase, they are getting harder and harder to find. I had to purchase some a few months ago and the cheapest I could find was through: http://floppydisk.com/buy.htm

They might be able to work out a deal for a bulk discount if you call or email them.

Tom is my US supplier.

PS : Not many recognize this badge, infact you are the first to even notice it. No not an EOD guy but I do have this 'modified' badge which I received for something I did way back in high school.

There's definitely not many out there, we're a relatively small group. Sounds like an interesting story.  If you felt like PM'ing it I'm definitely curious  ;D

Anyway, I'll stop cluttering your thread, you obviously know much more about floppy disks than I do. Hopefully you find what you're looking for!
