Post by: wepopew on December 30, 2012, 02:12:55 PM
I've see a lot of sites which promise small amount of bitcoins in exchange of completing captchas and you have to put in your bitcoin address

Are they legit? and is there danger is giving away you bitcoin address? I'm sorry if this question is stupid I'm new to bitcoin.

Nope, They can't do anything without the rest of your information. So your safe. Even more safe if you use an offline wallet like ARMORY.

Hope this helps

If you want to keep your anonymity, you should be using different addresses for different transactions.

If you want to keep your anonymity, you should be using different addresses for different transactions.
This increases your anonymity a bit, but it doesn't guarantee your anonymity.  When you later send bitcoins, several of your addresses will likely be joined together. Making it possible for anyone who knows any one of your addresses to determine several of your other addresses.

When using Armory you can delete addresses within the same account so they can not be linked together.
