Title: Android App - Bitcoin currency converter based around VirWox Post by: deathnetworks on June 08, 2011, 10:32:39 AM This is a little project i have been doing for my self to keep track of prices to GBP cos I'm from the UK so i cba with USD plus VirWox supports paypal so all the better for me and anyone else who is reading this lol.
Anyway the app provides conversion between bitcoins to USD/GBP/EUR there is the option to automatically include the paypal fee as well as the VirWox market fee's or have a look at what you would get if they didn't charge you to convert >.> (we wish) this only supports the market price option and not the limit order, also since the VirWox API doesn't support transactions or account access yet that isn't there either, tho when they release it i'll prob add it. there's no widget yet but that will be coming at some point when im not working or so sick of coding at work i cba to do it at home. http://i56.tinypic.com/2hi44qs.jpg This is a screenshot from a beta version but the design is the same Download and install the APK on your android device https://github.com/Deathnetworks/BitConvert/tree/master/Release (https://github.com/Deathnetworks/BitConvert/tree/master/Release) Layout might be abit off or alot >.> i haven't done any cross device testing as im too lozy tho i will update when i stick that in. At present its optimised for the samsung galaxy s2 aka I9100 - cos thats what i have Will post on the android market once I receive enough donations to join the thing lol >.> Total Received So Far (http://blockexplorer.com/q/getreceivedbyaddress/1Mq2fn2ftbdnedGndVmGk1tXQqx6RmjLDi) Updates

I'm using HTC Desire and appinstaller to install the .apk. But for some reason it can't install using app installer. It tells me there is a problem parsing the package. Any recommendations on how to install it? I have installed other .apk files before. with device name/id - like Samsung galaxy s 2 i92100 or Samsung galaxy s 2 i9100b if known screen dimensions and most importantly if far off is the layout this is so i can actually get around to generating optimised layouts for each. also if you have any problems or requests feel free to ask. i have a coding job so i'll get on them when i can. Hope you enjoy the app or just use it for watching the rates (like i do ^^) Title: Re: Android App - Bitcoin currency converter based around VirWox Post by: ned123 on July 15, 2011, 03:18:27 PM Galaxy S (I9000), screen size: 480 x 800 pixels.
Works like a charm. No visible layout offset but it is expected considering the same screen size in pixels. |
