I was mining way at the beginning with 64 bit CPU miners, then GPU, then I abandoned the practice for a few years. Now I'm back in pretty heavily and I've reached the point where the heat and power consumption is getting to have real effects on my household. So, hosting is the next step.

I'd really love to think outside the box here as I have a colo set up for work and it's not cost effective. Almost every bitcoin specific hosting service that looks like it's not a scam charges by the Kw. I've looked at the long post listing all the commercially available hosting services people have used but they're mostly power based and seem too costly for the gains I'd like.

I've put in requests for quotes in the D.C. area and every time I get some sales guy on the phone and explain that I'd like a half rack with over 205volts and minimal networking they talk to me like I'm a crazy person, apparently getting less than a full rack around here is complete insanity.

I've heard of people paying college kids to keep miners in their dorm rooms since they generally don't pay for power but I've got some s7s here to run and they make all sorts of noise and heat. What are you doing to host your growing farms? I obviously don't mind paying for space and some power but there has to be a set of loopholes, places with tons of space that get cheap power where I could grease the right palm and get a shelf for my rigs?

Does anyone have any suggestions? Any insider info? Any friends in DC (or southern Maryland or Virginia) with a somehow freely powered warehouse that well cooled?
