The United States is a secular country with the majority of their populace being practicing Christians. The country was not founded on Christian values, but on secular and humanist values. Since its inception however, Christianity has bullied its way further into government in direct opposition to the first amendment to their constitution

How would you even define "Christian" these days?

Most Americans claim to be Christian, but when they have cancer, do they pray to God, or go to the hospital?
I dare say 90%+ of "Christians" don't actually believe God/prayer will cure their cancer

Does that make 90% of them atheist?

Also note that in America, "Christianity" comes in many flavours... Protestant, Catholic, Mormon, Jehovah's witness, Westboro Baptist Church, the kkk, etc.

I'm not quite sure, but I think the United States should be a nation of freedom of religion.

All this thread has said to me is that you idiots don't even know about your own constitution which specifically talks about the seperation of church and state. Yeah that's right, a British guy is lecturing you about your own constitution, suck it, the fact that you're even talking about this shows how little you know about your own laws and rights or that you just don't fucking care.
