Title: MT Gox alternatives?
Post by: JMouse on January 03, 2013, 05:21:19 AM
Hi,
New to the forum and also bitcoins, so bare with me.

I'm wondering what other alternatives there are the Mt Gox? I've read on a few other threads that there possibly trying to cut out the small fry as its costing them to much. I ask because I really do not want them to have my driving license and one of my latest bank statements for there record! It's ridiculous.

I live in the UK, so getting hold of bitcoins has been the biggest pain in my arse. Before i commit, I've looked at localbitcoins.com. Has anyone ever used them? or know of anyone that has used them?

I think you can only sell BTC to PayPal.

LocalBitcoins seems to be solving the problem for lots of people.

Being in the U.K., you can use Pingit to buy coins from:

You could also send cash (GPB) to Bitcon Nordic.  There are a number of options:

I trade at Bitfloor.com and I like it. They *had* free, anonymous cash deposits working for a while, which was completely awesome, but then somethign happened and they're trying hard (so they still say) to get cash deposits back online, but for people with ING accounts, you can still fund your account for free that way.

Anyways, I wrote this web based trade facilitator that connects to their trading API: http://BTC4me.com

It will give you a good look at what their market looks like.
