Title: What to invest in?
Post by: luka1987 on January 28, 2016, 09:36:36 PM
I just bought some Eth and I'm wondering if anything else is promising or has potential for the future. Like NXT or NEM... or something else?

Write down your thoughts about it, I'll stick with BTC and ETH now.

I suggest buying both Nxt and NEM. (Disclosure: I have a good chunk of both) Both of them has enough of a run to establish an uptrend, and both have pulled back for the moment.

Best of luck with your Etherium.

Good question! I'm also looking to invest, but I haven't quite decided yet. I know that I have to my diversify my portfolio, and ETH sound like a good start...
unfortunately I missed the cheap prices :(

the best way to find out what the best coins to buy is the coinmarketcap site they have an updated list I highly recommend to go for the top 15 coins you can extend to the top 20 if they are profitable based on their trading graph

if you buy top 10-15 coins, don't buy them with leverage
only evident scams can be pumped without corrections
corrections are inevitable and can be deep (Dogecoin currently)
when the market is going up, investors want to get in on the potential profits
you have to be really careful if you use margin trading

also I'd recommend to keep at least 10-15% of your long term investments in a broad spectrum of small and middle cap coins (from top 200-300) that have communities and have been launched in 2012-2013
don't discuss whether they are Bitcoin competitors/businesses or not
consider them as commodities/collectibles with limited supply and with a pretty wide distribution, or if you understand derivatives - as out of the money options with no expiry

I'm buying ETH since many people and - most importantly - COMPANIES are starting to realize the whole potential of this tool and price tends to go WAY higher than actual prices!

Look at Xaurum. This one is backed by gold and the quantity of gold represented by 1 XAU is growing daily.
If needed you can "melt" XAU and receive gold at your home.

I'm calling DGB as a 2 week money doubler. Let's see if my analyzing is wrong.
Just bought some at .00000047.
Might go lower for a few days but I think this one is gonna breakout next.

Try to buy yourself into something new. old coins which have low volume on low volume exchanges are too risky

It would have been nice if you could have bought WARP from the crowdsale, but it's over now.

Have to wait for an exchange to add. Check out Warp though, it's quality.

Edit: WARP just got added to an exchange this morning.

Alts are very speculative and unsecured investments so whatever you chose you are choosing on your own risk.
But when you accomplish 5x or more from your investment you can finally realize best return can be made in alts!

Personnally, I'm buying a bunch of ETH (Ethereum (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=428589.0)) and SPR (Spreadcoin (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1045373.0)). Spreadcoin looks really promising with their decentralised blockexplore which is to come soon.

There is a new ICO where was announcement this weekend.
It's called Lisk: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1346646.0
Probably interesting for you because it sounds like a "small Ethereum" so a good reinvest for Ethereum earnings!

Darknet Darknet Darknet :P

Its a good idea to get a node setup.
Pays itself in 60 days or less depending on the price ofc :P

But it seems to be a good coin with a lot of big names behind.

Bitbay seems to have a future. I'm impressed with what is happening there. They have been working in the background rather than marketing and have created something amazing. Price rocking up this week!!

Definitally ETH and LISK. Maybe litecoin could be cool as soon as next bubble occurs.
