Title: PSU questions. Post by: no_alone on June 08, 2011, 12:00:16 PM Hello I have 3 pcs and 3 PSU...
Corsair CMPSU-450VXEU Retail SeaSonic S12II 520 Bronze 520W and I'm planning to buy a SeaSonic S12II-620 620Watt 80Plus Bronze I have 7 cards. 6 5850 1 5750 Will it run? 1 5850 and 1 5750 on the 450W 2 5850 on the 520W and 3 5850 on the 620W What do you say? Haa and what is the different between 2x4pin molex to pci and 1x4pin molex to pci ? Title: Re: PSU questions. Post by: Ixipixi on June 08, 2011, 12:11:34 PM I don't think that 520W PSU can handle 2x 5850, since it takes ~350W per card.
Crossfiring them adds +~180W. Dunno about running them both single. Same applies to the 450W and 620W PSU.. Edit: Read ahead to see that this post was actually a brainfart. Title: Re: PSU questions. Based my assumptions on : http://www.guru3d.com/article/radeon-hd-5850-review-crossfire/9 regarding the wattage, I misread the card itself using as much as the SYSTEM in that article. Thanks Monoquark for correcting me. Title: Re: PSU questions. Post by: Notrem on June 08, 2011, 12:30:34 PM I don't think that 520W PSU can handle 2x 5850, since it takes ~350W per card.
