Title: So where is MtGox getting the "last price" on their homepage from? A RNG?
Post by: DeathAndTaxes on January 03, 2013, 05:25:16 PM
At the time of writing the website shows $13.57 as the last price.  Not only was that not the last trade there hasn't been a trade north of $13.50 in the last 30 minutes.

So does it just randomly pick a number?

It's a "last price" from one of the other markets converted to USD.

I've been wondering that myself lately, thanks for clearing it up :) - I thought it was bullsh*t as well.

the whole multi-currency trading engine they use is pretty confusing tbh. I'm still trying to get my head around it.
