Title: [2016-01-30]Will The Swiss Basic Income Affect Bitcoin Adoption?
Post by: jdebunt on January 30, 2016, 06:00:44 PM
For quite some time now, there have been talks about Switzerland planning to give all of its citizens a basic income. Doing so would replace all other forms of income in the country, other than regular employment benefits. With every Swiss citizen receiving roughly US$2,500 per month, there is a lot of room for Bitcoin growth in the country. That is, assuming they see the need for this popular digital currency.

I can't believe they're still even considering that, that's going to massively inflate the Swiss Franc and considering they've literally just left the Euro it would be a disastrous move for them, as with most of these schemes based in hyperinflation people are just going to be forced into other currencies or forms of trade and it's not going to fix a thing.

Considering that the Euro is close to deflation this is exactly what is needed.

By the way: our Altcoin Worldleadcurrency https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=791398.0 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=791398.0) pays a basic income in crypto..

What, is the logic behind that? People ...even if they are employed, will receive a monthly income sponsored by the government? This way, the government think they can save

money, not to have to offer any other FREE services? There will still be people to lazy too work and these people will waste this money on alcohol, drugs and cigarettes. In the

end, some institution will have to step in to help these people. The people with a job, will not necessarily invest this extra income into Bitcoin, but rather waste it on more

expensive goods and services.  ::)
