My customer is looking for 165K USD, but the price is negotiable. Make an offer you feel is fair and I will relay it to them.

So around $825 per miner ?

Well to be fair it does include power supplies and 8 months of hosting.  Do you mind me asking what the hosting rate is?

More like your misreading it. I guess it could consider it $717 per Th for 8 months with free power and you own all the gear in the end.  Better to see it as your buying all the hardware and 8 months worth of power and hosting.

The  contract was arranged at $50 per KW/Month

That leaves $111,500 for the S5's or $557.50 each.

Prices on wires and PSU's are a little low. I wish I could still get IBMs for $25 each but your numbers are not too far off.

But yeah it is close, but I like I said I will relay all offers reasonable or even semi reasonable offers to my customer.

The problem with his initial offer is that when you go through the math, it's way off the mark, so it's not even worth making a counter.  Even eBay's normally high prices are in the $250-$300 range (actual sold listings in the last week), so coming in at that price just says that they have no idea what the market is for the S5, and probably won't come down to anything workable.  It's also ironic that most of the value is in the prepaid hosting and power supplies - heck, I could use those!  :)

Assuming that he does come back with a reasonable starting offer, what do you charge to pull the gear and ship it back in 8 months (not the actual shipping cost, but for your time pulling and boxing them up, etc)?  Right now they're a bit over break-even mining, but in 8 months they're going to be underwater at your rates, even though they are really good.

What is the true value if you have it shipped?

Is shipping from MCHouston  free and is included in the sales price ?

 S3 redeem from hashnest was - The handling and packaging fee for each unit is set at USD $20 per unit, and the cost to ship each machine to Shenzhen is USD $15.
Shipping costs from Shenzhen to final destination will be calculated by shipping company rates.

But S3 is 6kg and S5 is max 4 kg. So I hope that will be cheaper as S3 shipping.


I have in hashnest total 265 pieces Antminer S5  and the average purchase price was 0.16 BTC from S5.

I started buying 15 January 2016.

If the BTC price does not rise, I am still at a loss.
But it is not   165K USD  for 200 S5 with PSU and 8 months hosting.

Are those miners at Hashnest actual S5 miners or are they all S7 miners and they just set the speeds accordingly?

I didn't think they had any actual physical S4/S5 miners still hashing there.

7.    Customers holding enough GH/s to constitute an entire machine of the associated type (e.g., 1155 GH/s of Antminer S5) are eligible to convert that amount of GH/s into the used unit of the associated type. If a user does not have enough GH/s of the associated kind to exchange for actual hardware, then this user is not eligible for hardware redemption.

So today  S5 in hashnest is 0.04 BTC +  The handling and packaging fee for each unit is set at USD $20 per unit, and the cost to ship each machine to Shenzhen is USD $15.

I want redeem my 275 pieces S5

That sounds like a great deal as long as shipping back to you is a decent price.  Can you redeem them at any time or do you have to wait until the cost of running them is more than the bitcoin they mine?

With Antminer s3 prices were

So they also charge additional USD 15 for transportation inside China. So for AntS5 50 USD handling and packaging,  XX USD shipping to Shenzhen and then normal shipping company rate.

So most likely nobody will be actually paying to get physical miners.

There might be a small window to sell it with profit. Or then not :P

Today I bought 1,176 Ghs with 0.039984 BTC in order to get one Antminer S5. Yes Antminer S5 is almost free. It is worth noticing, that when maintenance cost is 90% of profits, Hashnest closes hash trading,  and it is now 89,79%, so market closes very soon.

Probably I will pay shipping and try to sell it immediately.
