Was wondering why there isn't a ETH wallet similar to those we have for BTC or even other altcoins (such as Coinomi). Is it impossible, due to the characteristics of the coin? But Mist is working smooth. Installed it and it was quite easy to get it running. Ether to the moon! :)

The 6 confirmation of bitcoin is about 1 hour. So it is not too long. 15 seconds block time can have many orphans. Title: Re: Why isn't there a newbie-friendly ETH wallet? Until then, if the semi-newbie-friendly wallet is too hard to use, just let your coins on your exchange. This way you'll even be able to sell it in the case of a pump.

Is Ethereum not really an altcoin or what? I assume it is, as it trades on poloniex like one.
