Title: 2011-02-27 CBC Spark : digital currency
Post by: DoomDumas on January 08, 2013, 04:23:39 AM
Canada's national radio broadcast of a program about technologies named Spark

Short, simple, about virtual currencies, starting with bitcoins !

Wide audience.. (nation wide program)

I've write to Nora, she told me that maybe it's time to revisit the bitcoin subject :)

I'm preparing a reply, any suggestions to put in to have the best chance of another Spark show about bitcoin ?

Enjoy

Subforum is OK, IMO. If not, a Mod can always move it.

For the reply:

If they are already made a show on Bitcoin, I would focus on the transition Bitcoin has made from beeing (more or less) nothing on the time they made their first cast, to the speculative bubble shortly after, to become a really usable tool in the last year.

Mention all the (positive) things that have formed around Bitcoin since their first show:

Bitpay: over 2000 merchants
Bitcoin-Central
The Bitcoin Foundation.
Bitcoin Magazine
Wordpress
4Chan
Coinabul expand its gold-selling business from nothing in October 2011 to over 120,000 BTC of gold sold this year.
Marked Capitilazion broke 100 Mil USD.

Also Mention Entrepreneur Wonderland to add diversity:

GLBSE and it's shutdown
Bitcoinia
ASIC

If you sell this right, than you can put it like "Everyone can try to make a BTC Business, some rise and some fall, but it's free for all".
