it's a trash coin that was built because of the whole thing about the rarity crap, which is not what bitcoin is sorely based

i remember the first version was even instamined, like it ws for 42 coin, another crap coin based on rarity

pyramid scams (MLM) get away with it because all their people are not on contract.. its sold as a 'independant business' so that those at the top can pretend they have no contract with the 'agents' in the middle.

it is immoral and illegal but MLM scams know the legal loopholes to shift the blame away from them.

Onecoin has been looked at in Sweden by the Swedish Gaming Board and they have categorized it as “a chain letter game or similar”, which is the law under which pyramid schemes are controlled there.
They've referred it to the police and .........?

http://www.lotteriinspektionen.se/sv/Press/Nyheter/OneCoins-verksamhet-polisanmalt-for-misstankt-brott-mot-lotterilagen/

People who run international scams like Onecoin and MMM factor in the bureaucratic reticence about getting involved in lengthy, expensive investigations and proceedings against them, and exploit it fully.
Also, they know that different countries have different definitions about pyramids and ponzis, some countries have none at all and apply caveat emptor reasoning.

we need to find away to keep people joining them and losing money :XD

Easier said than done. All you can do is counter their bullshit as best you can, and usually get abuse for it.
In a greedy world, people aren't interested in constructive investment, they just want money and they want it now. They convince themselves that it's legit (if they care) and sustainable (or, if it obviously isn't, that they'll get out before it collapses).

Onecoin is not a coin is a Multi-Level-Marketing Scheeme. Every coinholder needs to find at least two new one to get some earnings out of them. The coin itself is closed source, there exist no free market where you can sell your coins. Also you pay huge fees for money out.
Stay away there please.

I just remember another one that is also MLM but claim themselves as cryptocoin or next genration coin. (LEOCOIN).
I think UK based company is always a slogan for ponzi sites even a small hyip site can buy uk based company certificate these days. This world is full of scam and ponzis.

Yep, these scumbags are scumbags.  So many of them in bitcoin land it's ridonkulous.  I'm skeptical of pretty much any new shitcoin that comes on the market and I'm not even aware of 99% of them.  I do a little trading in the big-name ones here and there but nothing huge.  The market is so damn thin for these shitcoins that I don't know how anyone other than the devs make money on them.

So I did the survey for the promise of an altcoin handout (this is not suspicious at all, other alts do it as well); sounds stupid but no credit card info and ssn and stuff so nothing important that got to them.
Name email and that's about it.
The questions were only about my bitcoin/altcoin understanding and that's public anyway.

Also, not a dime invested from my own coins, only my ten or so minutes are wasted. It's so good to be a bit paranoid sometimes lol

The more I know about this onecoin the more I think it's a perfect marketing operation with zero programming or logistics or economics skills.
BTW I will keep using the reliable bitcoin/altcoin sources instead and ignore all the bollocks.
For MLM there is Coinad, Bitvisitor etc
Other autopilot revenue is mining (duh)
And trading shitcoins of course because it's fun :D

Onecoin appears to be entering the terminally fucked stage.
Signs:

1) Huge hurdles to withdrawal in shape of KYC regulation (a sample of complaints)

Quote
Onecoin said kyc authentication requires a month’s time, but now almost two months of how not passed?

@onecoin: PLEASE VERIFY MY ACCOUNT AND ALSO MY ONEPAY ACCOUNT! I SPONSORED MANY PEOPLE, BUT I AM ALREADY WAITING MONTHS FOR MY VERICATION!!!!

KYC certification for a long time did not pass. Hope to get the company’s attention. Let me have a stronger confidence to develop my team.

In addition withdrawal on November 15, 376 euro hasn’t been to the bill. Hope the company to help return the account. thank you.

Dear Onecoin Support Team, How much time you have require to clear my KYC.

I am very upset with delay in KYC clearence, I don’t Know what’s the reason behind for delay from onecoin company.

Why,why, why, company required 30 working days of KYC clearence.

I am not able to satisfy my team for delay in KYC. Because i am not able to answer my team for delay in KYC Process. Pl try to understand & clarify me for Delay/that much time required for KYC clearence.

Also Upload/send KYC clearence procedure example Photo/Video etc so that everyone understand that how ducuments to be send in KYC.

kyc delayed but did not explain to the customer . But tell exciting news , but no news kyc .Face book onecoin should explain a pending state . Too long.

Hello…. We are from Belgium. My sons status is also still pending for nearly 2 months. May i ask the Support Team why it takes so long ??? In meantime unable to sale one coins :-(( This is unfair.

I manage to create OnePay account recently. However, I am unable to sale my one coin due to KYC profile and setting status showing “Pending”.

I have submitted the documents nearly 2 months ago and yet status is still pending. Appreciate your immediate action to solve the above.

I have 5 tycoon all split 2 times already. I do my KYC 7 week already but i always pending. Your KYC is too late. I AM ANXIOUS.

we are scamed? I am waiting for KYC since 05.12.2015

2) Affiliates unable to sell their 'coins' on the only exchange that handles this shit

Quote
February 23rd: Are you able to sell coins? my orders are ALWAYS expired even if I stay between daily limits.

February 25th: I don’t know how the onecoin exchange works but it’s very difficult to sell onecoins.

This month I have been trying to sell onecoin every day mon to fri but it got sold only on 2 days i.e. 10th & 15th Feb. Why is that?

In Feb I could sell onecoin in the exchange only 3 times. At this rate it will take me 12 years to sell all my onecoins.

February 27th: Anybody tell me why the coin withdrawal didn’t credit in cash account only shows pending..

February 27th: Hi. Why my coins doesn`t sold? I have 5 application… And i wait week.. It`s not normal.

February 29th: (responding to above): its always pending and expired.

February 28th: withdrawal didn’t credit in cash account anybody tell me reason?

February 29th: (responding to above): we have the same case.. it takes more than a month but it says after 10 banking days upon withdrawal.

March 1st: (responding to above):  mine since last Nov….still nowhere to be found in my account yet.

3) Lock in periods heavily promoted to delay meltdown

Quote
“CoinSafe”, a ‘unique product, giving you the chance to earn from both the rising value of the coin and the earnings you accumulate‘.

Basically, in exchange for not making withdrawal requests, OneCoin are offering affiliates ROIs of 10 to 12 percent.

CoinSafe ROIs are paid out in OneCoins, so don’t actually cost the company anything. The maturity period of the CoinSafe contracts is however 12 to 24 months, giving top OneCoin investors plenty of time to continue withdrawing funds.

It also gives OneCoin some breathing room, as affiliates who participate in CoinSafe are barred from making withdrawal requests for up to two years.

4) Package price increase

Quote
The price of packages must reflect the growth and development of OneCoin.

With all the opportunities offered by the company, OneCoin grows bigger and stronger with each passing day!

Besides all benefits that this development brings, we need to make sure that, among other things, the mining queue will not get longer, nor there will be over-subscription of the coin.

With that in mind, from April 1st, 2016 we will increase the prices of all our packages by 10% thus aiming to have a stable price of the coin.

5) The only "exchange" that trades in this shit closes with no notice

Quote
Please note that the OneCoin exchange enters maintenance mode from March 1st, 2016 until March 15th, 2016.

Bitcoin is on number one and onecoin is on second number. its mean Satoshi Vs Rooja. the price of onecoin is very low and everyone can easily afford it. it has also very little chance of falling down. the price will increase as because of its little rate. on other site bitcoin the number one crypto currency. but no doubt with a very high rate. not every one can afford to lose a single bitocin. and not every can buy it easily.

OneCoin been a plague here in my country.  I often have a debate against member of that MLM currency.  I told them it was an artificial economy that make its price higher because of centralization.  I even told them if it's legit release it on the real market and trading platform like it must be.  then they told me if i have question and doubt about onecoin visit their site but I answered back if you want the truth visit Bitcointalk.org or help yourself and search the internet.

I guess it isn't wrong to trust no other crytocoin than bitcoin, just like I do, right?
I mean, it's a matter of personal preference, I know, but it's probably the safest way.
