If you want an easy to use offline wallet I'd recommend Electrum, but there are many more options which might be even better.
You're going to get many different answers here :D

Also, have a look here to help you with your choice:

electrum AND MultiBit  are pretty good lightweight wallets you can use . online wallets cannot be trusted as there might be a hack somewhere down the line and all coins will vanish  ;D .

It depends on what you're looking for. If you're looking to store a lot of coins safely then offline hardware wallets like Trezor and paper wallets are the best. If you want quick access to smaller amounts and spend them out and about then you have phone wallets. My fave is Mycelium.

Coinbase and xapo wallet will give you facility to send and receive bitcoin without fee and confirmation between users.
But if you are talking about large sum of money than you better use offline wallet or paper wallet for better security.

Sounds like you just need a simple desktop app, go with Electrum  (https://electrum.org/#download)and if you don't like that:

Use Bither best one I come around light weight simple to use and works on multiple devices like Windows, Linux, Android and OSX. https://bither.net/

Or Multibit:

Most Bitcoin wallets happen to all be connected with each other in the sense that there's strong similarities. I don't have a genuine favorite in terms of wallets. The one I use connects with my actual regular fiat bank so I just won't mention that one at all but it's really good.

Yeah to each his own, there are just so many options that it's impossible to objectively say: 'This is the best Bitcoin wallet'

I recently stepped away from Multibit myself because it messed up some wallets, quite happy about Electrum and Mycelium for Android.

for offline i will choose electrum or multibit , and for online i use blockchain.info about fee we can set the fee as what we want but with some risk if you send large amount of bitcoin but with little fee.

I vote hardware wallets as well, I have used and like both the Trezor and the Ledger Nano (the latter is cheap).  Both are pretty easy to use.  The main advantage of hardware wallets is safety.

I have tiny amounts (to buy a coffee if I can find a coffee shop who will take BTC) on my cellphone and a web wallet (both blockchain.info) for convenience, I do not recommend keeping much in either.

In case you would look for an alternative in the future, you could use blockchain.info wallet if your trying to store small amounts and use it daily (their free,0.0001 fee) but if your looking for storing large amounts then I would advise Trezor (not free but make it very safe and AFAIK it's unhackable).

Try Armory it has better security than that one. By the way, you can pay a transaction with no fee but it will be not accepted by the network and it will be reverted. If you want a small fee, I suggest you to pay for the minimum fee which is 0.0001 BTC.

I would invest in a Trezor hardware wallet for the every day transactions and I will store the biggest portion of my bitcoins in cold storage. I do not trust online wallets or storing any large amounts of bitcoins on exchanges. If you go this route, you will have a better chance to secure your wealth.

This if you plan on acquiring a large amount of coins soon. It is quite an investment (100 usd), but it is well worth it if it means keeping your coins safe.

The security risks are quite real if you don't take care of your computer security, trezor solves these problems for you and even allow you to send coins on infected computers if needed.

1. i think all bitcoin wallets are free unless you want to pay extra for cold storage on online wallets
2. again only conline wallets like coinbase connect with a bank account and that so you can purchase bitcoin, however there is no requirement to connect to your bank.
3. These days paying a small fee or no fee at all will cause you problems, your transaction my not get confirmed for days

I guess blockchain is one of the most decent online wallets and probably offer the most options regarding control of your addresses in online browser wallets, Electrum is a decent PC wallet, Armory is good for offline storage of coins but relatively complicated to use.

I used MTgox as wallet sometime before and it was a bad idea considering how it worked in general, I think the best wallets to use are PC wallets since you own your private keys, Multibit is very decent and not internet based, Bitcoin core is good too.

I would like to use core wallet but i don't like synchronizations..and gigabytes of memory..

I honestly do not know what is the best wallet. But I have heard that some of that is one better than that.
But you must look at the reviews and how often it is used.

I just use Xapo, I know they don't release the private keys but as I don't hold that much I don't really care and the service is very good with great security. I doubt they will run with the money and I may try their Vault option once I have some more BTC. I think for most people services like this are essential to bring Bitcoin to the masses really, the other ones are clearly stuff made for nerds. No woman ever will use that.

The best bitcoin wallet to get is the one which you personally prefer and feel safe with.

1, Paper wallet. Nearly free.

2, Connected to bank? That is a strange one. Not sure any are. I will go with Ledger

3, If you want your transaction to confirm in time then pay a small fee. Not worth getting out of paying a few cents for a transaction for 100's.

All in all I prefer the Ledger wallet as it is super easy to use and safe, it does cost a small amount but you pay for what you get and it is easy to access should you need to.

I am using Bitcoin Core and Electrum. I use Bitcoin Core mainly to store my Bitcoins for the long term. It needs you to download the complete blockchain which might take you some days to complete it. Electrum is what I use for easy and quick transactions. Unlike Bitcoin Core, the Electrum wallet doesn't require you to download the entire blockchain. Easy and fast.

There is the standard transaction fee that goes to the miners (integral part of bitcoin, all wallets do this). In Electrum, the user can define which amount they want to pay per kilobyte. (Recommended fees can be found here: http://www.cointape.com/)

If you are talking about a transaction fee that goes to the creators of Electrum, then no, there isn't.

Because the Electrum blockchain info servers are volunteer-run, it's a good idea to tip them every once in a while in the "console" tab of Electrum.

Electrum does not have its own fees, though you still have to (and should) pay the miner fees.
Electrum is what I would recommend.

I'm wondering why there is no blockchain wallet among WEB wallets in the list. Is something wrong with it?

Blockchain.info would be the best online wallet
Coinbase would be the most convenient wallet.
Electrum is a good local online wallet.
Armory would be the best cold wallet.
A KeepKey/Trezor would be the best hardware wallet.
A Ledger wallet would be the best budget hardware wallet.
Bitcoin-qt would be the best all rounder.

Blockchain.info and Coinbase are both good web wallets but for different purposes blockchain is better for handling everything on your own and coinbase is good for purchasing only.

Electrum and Armory are both good for cold storage with the difference that armory will take a lot of space (even more than core) cause it is full node while Electrum is SPV

It depends on what you're looking for. If you're looking to store a lot of coins safely then offline hardware wallets like Trezor and paper wallets are the best. If you want quick access to smaller amounts and spend them out and about then you have phone wallets. My fave is Mycelium.

For those people who are using hardware wallets like Trezor or Ledger Nano, how do you know that the company did not put some dormant malware, that in 3 years or so, it will empty out your wallet?

That is my concern.  I am a technologically-challenged, so how would I (or you if you're using one of them) ever know?

I was using breadwallet but just noticed it is having sync problems. It has to download the blockchain info from where it left off everytime you send or receive a transaction, which is annoying.
Had my first double spend transaction yesterday, which was annoying. I thought I lost my bitcoin during it. But after a re-sync it came back after some time.  :-\

Hello, which bitcoin wallet is the best to get?

For example:
1. Free
2. No need to connect to bank.
3. Little or no transaction fee
and etc....

1. free : i think every bitcoin wallet are free, online wallet is free, not hardware wallet like trezor.
2. no need connect to bank : its depending what you will do with this wallet,if you gonna deposite money, you need connect to bank,in every wallet.
3. little or no transaction fee : coinbase, xapo, blockchain, its all have little or almost free from fees, depending how much your transaction.

If you want to convert your bitcoins to your local currency then go for localbitcoins as I don't see any other better wallet then that.

I was using xapo from the beginning and it was better while after reading a large number of people reviews that blockchain is better I joined it today, but found that it is much better simple and efficient, but not have a strong security system like xapo.

If you want an easy to use offline wallet I'd recommend Electrum, but there are many more options which might be even better.
You're going to get many different answers here :D

Also, have a look here to help you with your choice:

https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet (https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet)

I'm wondering why there is no blockchain wallet among WEB wallets in the list. Is something wrong with it?

no there nothing wrong with blockhain, if you mean blockchain info is not listed maybe because its an online wallet.
I think blockchain is the only one the most secure online wallet, they give you full access to your wallet, you can get a private key and a backup wallet, was there as on the desktop wallet
so it was to prove that blockchain safe enough compared another online wallet

So many wallet are here, but i think Xapo is the best wallet, also you should transfer your wallet in your mobile, it is save from hacks.
i hear most of the stories about hacking the wallet so you should be careful about selected wallet.

All wallets are good they have differents of security features but choose
1. Convinient
2. Easy to use
3. Less hassle
4. Low bank transaction fee.

In my country i preferably use coins.ph wallet cause it has no deduction fee when i withdraw to atm machine and it is user friendly.

I think xapo have control on your bitcoin because they are a third party. I think it is a bad thing.
because at any time a third party could turn out to be a scam.
so better to use a wallet that no third parties more safer

you are right, wallets services like xapo have control over your bitcoin but it is not always a bad thing.

it is good for new users who either don't know or don't like to know how bitcoin works and how to have a personal wallet that you control. so they can use these services for ease of use.

but it is bad not only because they can turn into scams and run away with money but also in order to use them you have to obey their rules in TOS and failing to do so will result in ban and losing your money.

Indeed, I think you can pick almost very wallet if its trusted and is used a lot, I personally like blockchain and its also pretty good secured with the other wallet compared.
In fact I think the blockchain can be used also for large amounts, although this would be riskier.

The Best Bitcoin wallet so far for me is Blockchain.info.It's fast, reliable and easy . They have the lowest fees you can even send your payments without fees . The new beta wallet detect the transaction and insert the fees according to the size of transaction . One click to send the payment to anyone anywhere in world . Blockchain.info advacned payment system helps the users to send payment to more then 1 people at one time in one transactions with same fees . The security of blockchain.info is high . I recommend you to use blockchain.info as your wallet for bitcoin .

yes that's right, xapo is third party, and i'm not used that wallet anymore, and i'm also think xapo have weak security method.
i will glad to use coinase or blockchain.info, they are better and low fee.

I also use xapo as my secondary wallet because of its features. Since in my country have our own local wallet, I use coins.ph as it is very easy for us to withdraw and deposit with our banks here. But I recommend you to use either xapo or blockchain.

Bitcoire is the best but you need to download all blocks before you can start to use it and the default fee i think 10k satoshi..
If you are looking for a wallet that has no fee you try online wallet like coinbase theres no fee for every transaction.. i use if for receiving bitcoin purposes..

You should unquestionably use the Bitcoin core. Bitcoin core met all your criteria. It's free to use, you do not need to connect to a bank, and you can adjust the transaction fees yourself. If you do not want to download the whole blockchain, you can use Electrum. It's a good alternative, IMO.

For no transaction fees are coinbase and xapo but both of them do not provide the private key so you do not control your bitcoins. I consider the best wallet the hardware wallets like Trezor or Keepkey, they are a bit expensive but if you have more than few bitcoins then it worth buying it.

same here from the beginning I joined in 2013 I always use blockchain. blockchain very simple to use and flexible.
blockchain grant full access. many people who say that the third party is not safe. but it seems not apply for blockchain.
until now I still was no problem in using blockchain

I use 2 wallets to be honest one is safe and secure its a paper wallet, nothing can happen with that one.
The other wallet is just a blockchain wallet because the fact is that the blockchain wallets are easy and also easy to use to make payments with.

I have used xapo since the beginning, because I started here through faucets, and it is undoubted that xapo is ideal for this kind of options, but I don't like its excessive advertisement and its complex way to buy bitcoin, although actually it is not so bad.

Nothing to correct, you have selected the right one. I too use the Blockchain wallet which has the easiest transaction methods and high security which are importantly needed to place our hardly earned bitcoin.

Yes blockchaim is best and the safest wallet existing but it is not easy to cash out by using blockchain. I think all existing out there is best wallet also and they hahe different features. And in my country im using coins.ph wallet because it is user friendly wallet we can buy load directly to wallet and wr can cashout with no fee by using coins.ph wallet.

The best wallet which i think is most secure also is Xapo. It offers Vault also for cold storage. Also there is no transaction fee involved in this. So it is the  best.
You can keep your unused coins in Cold storage called Vault and it is the most secure amoung all the avaible wallets on the internet.

I think the important thing from a wallet is not a fee-free dude but it is the safety of the wallet?
if it is not safe. would be gratuitous transaction fee is free.
do you think of online wallet xapo vs blockchain where the most secure?

Blockchain.info is also like an online Wallet. So how can you say it is secure and Xapo not.
If we go towards security the best is bread wallet. What do you say and recommend on the best bitcoin wallet.

For free I think best is XAPO , because every other wallet has some sort of fees or other. You at least have to pay transaction fees, but somehow xapo is managing to do transactions without even taking money from you.

Still using Bitcoin Core since its the software wallet that makes me feel more comfortable. For long term storage as in cold offline storage, I might invest in a Trezor, I think it's a good idea but I still need to study how it works to see if it meets all of my needs.

you can use block chain for wallet. there are so many other options you have like yobit and Xapo where you can create a wallet for youself.
