What do you guys think about the promising altcoins? Ethereum, Decred, Dash,... do you believe any will rise in the next days, will it become bigger than Bitcoin? Post your speculations about altcoins here.

Seems like Etherum revealed itself to be a huge crapping scam.

Just look at reddit spamming, I wouldn't trust a coin or a community where users have to spam on a whole social media in order to get people to buy some of their crap!

Altcoins bubble season is reaching it's climax. Expect all of these skyrocketing Alts to come crashing back down with an almighty thump, followed by a meagre bounce.

Beyond that...I think the likes of ETH and DASH are worth keeping tabs on, and perhaps even putting a small bit of money into them and taking a long term position, after the mania has died down and spot price is just scraping along the basement once again.

they should have remained with bitcoin for their decentralized platform, i mean i like the idea of a new freenet with ethereum, but their currency seems only an excuse to make quick buck, via instamining maybe

That's why you better stick to DASH.
I mean it is older more stable and proven good..

I'm not sure of where altcoins are headed, and I don't think anyone is.  I do own some DOGE and Dash as well as bitcoin, but nothing major.  Ethereum is kind of interesting to watch, and I'm curious to see if it really does turn out to be a big scam.  From what I've read it could be a serious competitor with bitcoin--but I don't believe everything I read.  So I'll stick with the little bit of doge and dash that I buy with my meager sig campaign earnings.  It's fun and keeps me out of trouble.

I remember good old days on Mintpal and pumps of Blackcoin and Darkcoin..
Those pumps with almost 10k btc/day..

Ethereum is now on the rise,in my opinion the 5 coins that will make a difference this year are neucoin,maidsafe and of course ethereum my darkhorse is valorbit I have a 700,000.00 give aways coins here so I am crossing my fingers that they can do a miracle

honestly why would anyone own dash? its a classic scamcoin and will never get mainstream adoption because of its shady history (darkcoin).

My speculations right now include (maybe)etherium and decred to rise in price.

The Ethereum has risen 400% in the last months. Do you think it has risen too fast? When will it stop?

I dont know really, but i feel if i would invest in it, the price would immediately drop:D

I was waiting for it to have some major dumping for me to buy again since just when I thought it will be dumped after a recent pump in which I sold coins, the price continued to push the price further. I guess the community is strong enough to counter the effect of dumpers or some are on a HOLD position waiting for the price to reach the price of bitcoin.

That was my feeling as well. I usually notice the price rise of a coin. After some time, I decide to buy, the price drops soon after.

count me in on this group. I just don't have time to constantly read and keep up and I always seem to catch it a day late.  If you want a price to drop then have me buy.

Rise in the next days? I believe all quality coins and projects will rise mid- and long-term. I count Ethereum, Nxt, NEM, Qora, Emercoin, BitcoinDark (and some more) to those coins.

ETH, FCT, Emercoin, RADS, DASH, XMR are the coins I am interested in at the moment. I think these all have potential for additional growth through 2016.

I speculate rise in the next days for the following coins:

MaidSafe
Decred
Etherium(maybe? )

is this really a speculation thread.....  almost seems like its more of a baseless opinion thread.  Add more detail to your posts.

LOL allright, i think maidsafe price will rise because of the release of their safecoin.
And i think Decred will rise because it is a new coin with lots of features, also GUI wallet coming,...

From the list of the three coins, I think Ethereum has the biggest potential. It has some funding to develop.

Most speculation is baseless. People just want a place to say something. For example I think Ethereum is good coin.

it is because whenever somebody asks for speculation or altcoins to invest in, suddenly dead altcoin bag holders show up and try to lure others to their sell orders.

I think the Ethereum could be a good coin to buy, it is still quite new and is developed continuously.

think so to , but to be honest all the scam acusations on ether gets me a bit worried , dont know if this is something you just trade becuse it wont exist long term :/

The market cap of Ethereum is already $400 million, Many people and whales money is in there. So I think it might not be a scam.

dash and monero are so called "cult coins" with strong bag holding cult but no real world value or mass appeal.
Litecoin and Ethereum are the future major players.

Ethereum, because it attracts a lot of interest from people - not all the talk is good of course but a lot of it is.
Rimbit because I got in at the start, good forum, good dev and great potential.

I really think Ethereum is going to be huge from what I've been reading, maybe not in a near future since there is too much speculation that it is a scam and this kind of things, but I really think once they introduce themselves and time passes with their project their coin is going to rise a lot!

Anyways it's speculation so nothing is 100% sure and you have to believe what you want  :)

I agree with that the Ethereum has good development and good plan for the future development. I will succeed.

As long as there is constant development of the Ethereum, it will be used widely and the price will rise.

I see many new accounts talking about bright future of ETH? How come bunch of newbies can know such things?

All the coins have risen. So people are buying more altcoins at present. They think those coins have future.

Almost every ico at the end turns to be a scam!
What evidence you need more? Just go through announcement and see how many
 takeovers and revivals we had till now. Most of those coins were"very promising" in the beginning now don't even exist.
No doubt many created money from it. But you won't hear cries.

The only ICO coins are existing and still good are the NXT and Etherum. Most of the other ICO are just scams.

I don't know why people still glorifying ETH?
Maybe this guy Vitalic is good guy but i don't like ICO and i don't know why didn't they found different way of funding this project. This is just large project with lot of promises and we will see what will happen at the end.

Right now for new coins Rubies by far best option outside eth for a long hold. Everything else is just for a week or 2 of fun trading.

Agreed. It's only been around for a couple weeks but it has more potential than CLAMS... Low total # of coins, bet volume on BetterBets.io has been massive for them (over 15,000 BTC worth at current exchange prices).

So the market cap is quite big. What is the new features make this coin different from other coins?
