Title: New what can I make with my rig and need help
Post by: Cman1468 on January 11, 2013, 07:11:38 AM
Hay, so i'm new to all of this. What can I make with my rig, I have an Intel i7-960 oc to 4.1GHz, Nvidia GeForce GTX 670, EVGA FTW3 Intel X58 Chipset motherboard, 18 GB DDR3 1333MHz RAM. Heres all of the specs: http://www.overclock.net/lists/display/view/id/4100101. I also have an Acer Aspire S3-391 with Intel i7-2377M, 4GB DDR3 RAM, Intel HD Graphics 3000. And also have about 6 desktops that are made before 2000 (so running win 2000, 98 and have Pentium II, or III {one has a Pentium I, lolz}). What kind of BTC can I generate with these? and whats the easiest way to get started (without joining a pool)?
Thanks! :)

none of that hardware is in any way suitable for mining.

bitcoins require GPU mining with ATI devices (Nvidea uses a different method of shading and doesnt work well for mining)

you might be better with litecoin (LTC) mining. ~2000 LTC = 1 BTC and its more CPU intensive. You still wont get much on your hardware, bt itll be more then from bitcoins

Be aware: buy none GPU today for mining.
ASICs are meant to be shipped in ~2 months, so in 2 months your investment would be a waste.
