SCAMMER Warning:

illWill has scammed me for 45 BTC. I gave him the benefit of the doubt, and sent first. He claimed he was waiting for his Bitcoin client to complete a blockchain update, and now is not responding to PM's, eMails or texts.

He called me from this phone number:  214-250-0616
The PayPal (verified) address he had me send to:  crywolph@gmail.com

illWill profile:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=65732 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=65732)

This is mine sir. I started to lose my mind a bit over the last few days because I do not know how it got to you. How do i prove this as I know you want proof?

Needless to say, he didn't prove it via the steps I outlined in my reply PM.

Haha wow, put everyone who calls out scams on your ignore list. What a fucking genius.

Deserved to be scammed in my opinion.

... Deserved to be scammed in my opinion ...

Your post, while equal to greykawk's in quality of contribution, is different in one important way: Yours is actually extraordinarily harmful to the bitcoin community as a whole.

I've since learned that illWill, under a different username (but with the same email address), has scammed (at least) two other forum users prior to myself. Perhaps if these other users had created a detailed scammer-thread, I could have searched and discovered the connection. But rather than elicit responses such as yours, they instead slink away from the community (and bitcoin itself) subsequently writing it off as a cesspool of fraud, and won't hesitate (in the real world) to warn others away from bitcoin.

My skin is thick, however, and the relatively small amount that illWill worked his many months to claim as his ill-gotten prize pales in comparison to the returns I've enjoyed by trusting those that warrant trust.

None the less, the end result is the same: Your ignore indicator is now a bit more yellow than it was this morning.

I needed a rather hefty WU/BTC exchange a while ago and he messaged me. I was so close to sending him the coins.

No, RETARD, you and alikes, people lacking any fucking sense of "something is not right", are doing the biggest harm to this community. Just fuck off, OK?

You've got 45 posts and a piss-coloured ignore button. I see your opinion matters a lot.

Also, to LoweryCBS, it seems like a bad idea to tell you this as we've done a PayPal to BTC trade before, but it isn't difficult at all to reverse this transaction if you call up your CC company and file a chargeback.

Thanks for pointing that out.  In addition to, um, goldenrod and grey, what other colors do the ignore buttons come in?

On to the main idea...  Is this a business opportunity to run an escrow service?

Thanks for pointing that out.  In addition to, um, goldenrod and grey, what other colors do the ignore buttons come in?

The darker the shade of orange it is, the more ignores that person has.

subSTRATA's is the darkest it gets.

On to the main idea...  Is this a business opportunity to run an escrow service?

Plenty of people offer escrow services on the forums, people don't usually use them for BTC to PayPal transactions though.
