From 0.072 to 0.067? Sure this is the end ;D
Litecoin already survived a crash from 0.07 to 0.01.

I am sick of these bullshit threads every time the ltc prices drops a bit.

I doubt it is the end of Litecoin. I sure hope not.  All of the altcoins seem to be dropping on the market because Bitcoin seems to be on a rally. PPCoin has fallen even more than LTC.

How's it a crash?

BTC has been rising vs USD so LTC is BOUND to fall vs BTC (unless there's some other factor acting significantly in the other direction).

If you can't see why then consider how people arbitrage across the BTC/LTC, BTC/USD and LTC/USD pairs - and what impact that must necessarily have on BTC/LTC given the small volume.order book there compared to BTC/USD (think through how a profitable arbitrage would work - and which side of each book it would be removing orders from).  If you can't work that out then you'd be better off spending your time trying to understand it than making pointless threads.

0.006 to 0.045 = -25% not a crash ...?

I invested my grandma's money so ...

[/quote]

That wasn't very bright....you invested someone else's money in a volatile, speculative currency? A safer bet is taking her money to a casino. At least you know your odds at a casino.

Litecoin is like gambling (more risky than BTC but less risky than the flood of other alt-coins). You don't gamble what you can't lose and you NEVER gamble other people's money.

Also, in response to btcash's complaint about bulls**t threads such as these, I've noticed the OP starts a lot of threads like this. Methinks it is time to ignore him.

I think people need to learn what the scale on the left side of the charts means. The bottom of the chart isn't 0....

don't fret

you didnt 'lose' value, btc just gained more value. you can still sell it back for fiat

wait....your grandma had bitcoins??? awesome

I think the question is: It's been over a year and what have people done with LTC? Shopping card plugin's? Merchant Solutions? Margin Trading?

No. I was always a big litecoin supporter, but where are the faithful who are building apps? Making services? Where on earth is Koolio's Candy Shop?

Shares in the best BTC exchange trade in LTC.   ;D

(ok, obviously I'm not impartial here, but hey, I'm pretty proud of LTC-GLOBAL.)

You can still sell your LTC to members of the Litecoin cult before it ends up at 0.003BTC per LTC again.

Bitcoin is so high it is crushing all the altcoins. Perhaps we can trim off some of the altcoins.

Please keep selling LTC at lower prices. =)

Those of you who are impatient will find that you sold LTC way too cheap given all the development that is going on behind the scenes right now to make LTC legitimate with real world businesses.

But dont take my word for it. Sell oh please sell  =)

price going down lead to lower difficult mean you can mine more
increase in number of coin keep it up with price

price fail because bitcoin increase in price more and more back mining bitcoin thus they sell litecoin get money for buying bitcoin much sell make price fall

High volume shows that litecoin is still a useful currency that people wish to buy and sell. I get more concerned when the price isn't changing.

Over the past six months, the LTC price has been far more stable than the BTC price.  Maybe Bit Pay should add an LTC option for merchants.   ;)

You forgot the volume of LTC market. With current market volume one or two investors have ability to stabilize the price.

Looking at BTC-e, a lot of the buy orders are shills. I can crash it down to 0.47 right now.. :/

If you pay attention clearly I am not selling. Litecoin has much potential. But any one who wants to sell cheap. Please do. I could use a bit more cheap LTC.

Isn't mining LTC more profitable than BTC?

The btc/ltc rate was under 0.004 a few minutes ago while the usd/btc rate has no real changes. What's the reason for this ltc value decrease? Another dump by miners?

The opposite I think- the hashrate is going up again, and the price too. Once again- the rumors of LTC's death have been greatly exaggerated. :-)

Also, in 6 days AVALON starts shipping ASIC's. (http://www.avalon-asics.com/)

So this is probably your last chance to buy/mine LTC. :-)

well if someones dumping a lot (dumbly) they either choose to sell for usd or btc. and the btc buy orders were thicker, they would have collapsed the usd orders much further and made less $

if they were smart they would have used both and done a slower dump, but who knows for what reason they do it

and why avalon planning to ship during the weekend?!
