I first created faucet box faucet then I don't like faucet and uninstalled within an hour then I created xapo faucet .
xapo faucet brings low traffic I don't know why .
faucet box script has lot of users then xapo but I have seen many owners bit coins have been hacked while xapo accounts are much secure and safe .
you can create more then one xapo account and you can link them with your Master account to transfer funds between them or you can create multiple wallet with single account and transfer the fund between those wallet , this help me to keep low fund in my wallet which is connected to faucet in case my faucet is attacked by bot I'll not lose much amount so xapo minimize my risk .

In faucetbox there's also one option in dashboard to set max. payout in 30 minutes. You can use it against bots.
Just set it a little higher than your normal payout so if bots attacked they won't collect more than that limit.
Btw me wanna check Xapo  too.I will try it soon.

I can build a function for xapo too if you get bot attack just on/off that if you off payout the payouts will be stopped immediatly so nothing to worry .

I'd go with Xapo because of the instant payouts. Faucetbox takes such a long time to get even one payout.

I'd rather wait 24 hours for my FB claims than giving my personal details to Xapo.

Common fail. You don`t need to do that if you want to use xapo faucets and transfer the amount to another wallet.

who said to give personal details here visit http://faucetrank.com/faucet and claim with your normal BTC address , minimum threshhold is around 5500 sats and yes no need to wait for 24 hours once you reach at that threshold you'll be paid instantly (within 30-60 minutes or less ) .

You don't need an account to claim. I understand that.

You do need an account if you want to run a Xapo faucet, right?

yes obviously you need a xapo account to create but xapo ask personal details for your own security . You can check how good security xapo has .When you create paypal account don't you give your personal details ? Xapo is also a good reputed company so as you trust on paypal also trust on Xapo .

I never use Xapo as faucet admin so i can't say anything about it.

I never use Xapo as faucet admin so i can't say anything about it.

Perhaps Xapo is better because it has lower fees for the faucet owner.
Perhaps Xapo is better because payments are instant for claimers.
But besides these 2 points I can't see another reason to change.

You folks always claim Xapo is safer and more secure. I personally can't see why it is safer than FB.

And there's a reason why I can't see it; Security starts at running your own faucet. If I ever sell BitBlabber (or shut it down) I'll open an entire registry on how to secure your faucet.. I can't do it now because scammers will know my counter-measurements.

No truth is I have no coding knowledge but I can edit php codes and I understand some php codes . Recently I created block feature myself with lots of strugle of 2-3 days .If a codder would be doing that then it would take only a minute  to make that feature .

I mean no disrespect, because we all had to learn at one point or another... But isn't the lack of understanding/knowledge the reason NOT to start a faucet?

The standard FaucetinaBOX script is good but it misses A LOT of features;
Logging claims and denied claims (with IPs etc), the option to use an extra IP checking service, IP throttle options, ... once you have these features installed the faucet will be as secure as it will ever be. And thus not safer/unsafer than a Xapo faucet.

I spent over 100 hours customizing the FaucetinaBOX script. Check some screenshots here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1352935.msg13890258#msg13890258

I believe the scripting/counter measurements are the reason why some here claim that Xapo is safer than FB.  ::)  ;)

A lot of resemblances with the FaucetBOX script. Don't know which script was first, but one of them was inspired by the other one. I'm working on it. ;)

The six is obvious.. The other 2 are just guesses.

Did you do modifications to the original script?

Antibot was separately installed 2 days before the 7 is pronounced like Say One so it's easy to guess for human .

It's not that hard to write the script.

You need to start logging your claims per email/wallet address. This way you can check how much satoshis a user has claimed. When the users has claimed 5500 you reset the balance to 0.

Logging them also makes it possible to show when the last claim was made, how much the users has claimed in total, etc etc.

The problem however is that you can't see now how much a user has claimed yet.. Or can you see that in your Xapo faucet?

is it not possible to show using xapo api because xapo api shows processing balance when some one claim using his btc address there should be some string to show the total amount shall be processed .

Yeah sure. I'll read the API manual tonight.
