Title: Stop with these topics
Post by: Tyrantt on February 16, 2016, 07:40:26 PM
Topics like "why do atheists hate christians","why do atheists hate religious people", etc..  should stop. I mean, I don't know about the rest of you but topics like these are stupid regarding the religious hate, and people who are seriously starting these, no one really "hates" anyone just because of their  religion. I mean, that's my opinion and view on it nad seriously hating someone because of his religion is stupid. There are a lot of muslim guys that I know that are completely ok and some orthodox christians that are on the edge of grabbing a sword and running around killing people. So please, stop with that shitposting.

Quote from: Deuteronomy 17
If there be found among you, within any of thy gates which the LORD thy God giveth thee, man or woman, that hath wrought wickedness in the sight of the LORD thy God, in transgressing his covenant; 17:3 And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded; 17:4 And it be told thee, and thou hast heard of it, and enquired diligently, and, behold, it be true, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought in Israel; 17:5 Then shalt thou bring forth that man or that woman, which have committed that wicked thing, unto thy gates, even that man or that woman, and shalt stone them with stones, till they die.

Quote from: Deuteronomy 13:7-12
Some of the gods of the peoples who are around you, whether near you or far off from you, from the one end of the earth to the other, you shall not yield to him or listen to him, nor shall your eye pity him, nor shall you spare him, nor shall you conceal him. But you shall kill him. Your hand shall be first against him to put him to death, and afterward the hand of all the people. You shall stone him to death with stones, because he sought to draw you away from the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. And all Israel shall hear and fear and never again do any such wickedness as this among you.

+1

I agree.  First step is to admit we have a problem.

We should be vocal and expose injustice and shear stupidity of religions.

Christians are being contained only because we have secular governments (at least we pretend they are) and we have laws on books that criminalizes hate speech among other things.

Look at Westboro church in US, youtube it.  Saying it is a Muslim issue is just being ignorant of the problem.

"Why do islam hates people?"
"Fall of the Evil Jews Regime news network"
"Are Satanists Jews mentally ill?"

I don't mind these topics at all, though I don't really participate in them much.  And yeah OP, some people definitely hate religion and those who practice religion, and people in certain ones hate people in other ones.  It's a gigantic Christ-wiping mother of shitfuck going on in the world today with all of the religious violence.  So people need to speak their minds and what better forum for this than on bitcointalk???  :o

I see the point. There are a lot of duplicates. These are also placed in the off-topic section and not the politics and society section where they should be placed.

There are a lot of posts iin the offtopic section that seem a bit useless or unhelpful.

In the Bible they told to convert other people to Christanity. In the Kuran they told fight with non-Muslims. All religious books tell you that you can't live together. So you come here and say about atheists. Religion is the cover for human violance.

I see the point. There are a lot of duplicates. These are also placed in the off-topic section and not the politics and society section where they should be placed.

Talking about religions include the problem of society. These conversations fits here perfect.

I HATE RELIGION
Look i will give anyone the time of day but the second i find he is religious i will be thinking this guy is a DICK
So if your clothes are telling me your religious i wont even bother with you in the first place i will not give you NO TIME
we are showing people about all religions
WE WANT IT GONE and it will be gone 50 years from now. ITS BACKWARD THINKING..

BEST THING TO DO TO ALL 3 RELIGIONS
Go and burn all your religious books and rewrite them all again.
Because what we read will never work in the 21st century ;D

I know religious discussion should be put into society and economics, but most of the threads are put in off topic.
I am not talking about duplicates in religion (though there is some) I am talking about duplicates between threads that are created.

Bullshit.

Question of "why hate" is very basic.  Although an atheist, let me remind you that Jesus said "Don't hate."  Asking about the meaning, or lack of, of hate is meaning itself.

I know the teaching of Jesus, my mother is an orthodox christian, I've never been interested or payed any attention to it or any other religion that much, but the history of religions do interest me.
I'm just saying that there is a non needed generalization here.

Yes if your post/thread will trigger for web-fighting to members then stop posting like these kind of topics. I'm a Christian and I admit I'm not that too righteous but I respect others opinion so that they will also respect me. It is not bad to discuss about different religion beliefs / history but make sure that no one will hurt your posts and as well as make everybody educate about it. That's my opinion, folks.

It's a shame the Jesus character contradicts that God guy... who commands you to hate throughout the entire old testament... hate witches, hate gays, hate anyone of a different religion, hate anyone who cuts their sideburns, or eats a bacon cheeseburger (double whammy... ask any Jew), or wears clothing made from a mix of cotton and wool... serious crimes there man...

I think this hate concept has been seriously devalued and overused. It has lost its meaning. Personally I can´t hate people that I´ve never met or had any interaction with and I definitely can´t say i hate abstractions such as religions. I think they´re a nuisance annoying don´t know how to put it exactly. Nowadays people hate everything, even the width of the asses of celebrities. If there´s a boil on that ass they´ll probably hate that too.
I don´t get it.

I hate bankers who create crap derivatives to steal from savers and pensioners.
I hate politicians who support the above bankers for their own gain.
I hate frackers who screw up the countryside by extracting overpriced oil.
I hate the bankers who create the loan derivatives which are the only possible commercial justification for fracking.
I hate the politicians who support the above for their own gain,

I guess I just hate corrupt modern politicians, who seem to have developed their own self-interested religion. :)

I´m not saying that people shouldn´t hate or loath despicable behavior, it´s just that I personally can´t hate people that I don´t know and have never met. It´s my perception of this hate concept. I think people that start aggressive wars on false pretenses and are guilty of mass murder and war crimes should be hanged or at the very least incarcerated indefinitely. But I don´t hate them.

Some of the hate is about silencing the opposition...

A couple recent examples, Saddam Hussein... Osama bin Laden... If you can get America to hate them, nobody cares that they were executed without a trial...
(hint: they didn't want anyone to hear what these men had to say)

I suppose you could say Saddam got a trial, but I've seen it... it's a sham:

Yes, it´s a label or you could call it a thought-stopper. I think it´s related to religious conviction. Good vs. evil. The good team is inherently good and can do no wrong and evil should be hated and exterminated. It´s white and black, no need for any reflection on any shades in between.

Evil serves its purpose by keeping the strong on point, well weeding out the weak and meek.
Without evil we would not have this current world and would most likely still be savages.
War is evil and yet look at all the benefits that spin off it.

A couple million more years with the world mixing races and there won't be a thing called race anymore.  All skin color will be roughly the same, whatever shade it is and Skynet will be laughing at Rodney King and David Duke.  My brain will be in a jar plugged into the electrical outlet along with a toaster.

A couple million more years with the world mixing races and there won't be a thing called race anymore.  All skin color will be roughly the same, whatever shade it is and Skynet will be laughing at Rodney King and David Duke.  My brain will be in a jar plugged into the electrical outlet along with a toaster.

When you make jokes about Jewish stereotype, do you feel the same as when you joke about black people?

Don't take this the wrong way... I'm just curious... It seems like most people don't think it's racist to joke about Jews for some reason... not sure why

Get used to it.  There is a major push to get a 'one world religion' going so we're going to be seeing this shit everywhere for the next few years (if the internet retains it's present form at least.)  Just like the flat-earth psyop, tranny nonsense, etc.  The silver lining, though, is that once you realize this it can help you pick out who the 'shills' are, the form of the basic strategies of TPTB in this operation, etc.  Your post is interesting BTW...

Stop this BS.

Bitcointalk.org stands for free speech. Everyone is free to give out his opinion. If you don't like a particular topic, then just ignore it. But arguing that these topics should not be allowed, is not fair in my opinion.

If you think that any particular topic in this sub-forum hurts your sentiments, then you can contact Cyrus, who is the moderator.

I'm not even referring to jokes.

I am referring to outright, present Jew Hate.  It is everywhere on these forums, all the time.  Jews are blamed on the worst atrocities with no reasoning or logic and rarely does anyone say anything.  "Jews behind 911,"  "Jews shoot down airliner."  ETc, etc.

Liars.

And that's my point - the OP suggests "Stop with these topics," but he does not suggest or even realize that he omitted the biggest carnival of hate of them all.  So, how about his advice?

My theory is the Christians....

The Christians spent centuries trying to destroy any knowledge of their origins... They burned thousands of books where they stole their stories and rituals...

I imagine that Christians are the ones behind trying to exterminate the Jews throughout history, Nazi's included...

Christians are clearly ashamed of having stolen all their texts and traditions from other sources, and they have successfully destroyed 99% of all evidence, except for those pesky Jews... They keep trying to exterminate the Jews, but fail every time

This is truely aimed at offending people. You know there are many religions in the world and pointing to one as the superior is only going to ruffle feathers.

Where you born religious or did you catch it from some one? ;)

I'm a Jew, but not Jewish... I think... hard to keep that religious jargon straight

To be fair, God is the one who said that He loves His Jews more than the rest of you...

Quote from: Exodus 19:5
Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine

Quote from: Deuteronomy 14:2
For thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God, and the Lord hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.

Quote
After the First Council of Nicea (CE 325), Roman emperor Constantine the Great issued an edict against nontrinitarian Arians which included systematical book burning; "In addition, if any writing composed by Arius should be found, it should be handed over to the flames, so that not only will the wickedness of his teaching be obliterated, but nothing will be left even to remind anyone of him. And I hereby make a public order, that if someone should be discovered to have hidden a writing composed by Arius, and not to have immediately brought it forward and destroyed it by fire, his penalty shall be death. As soon as he is discovered in this offense, he shall be submitted for capital punishment....." According to Elaine Pagels, "In AD 367, Athanasius, the zealous bishop of Alexandria... issued an Easter letter in which he demanded that Egyptian monks destroy all such unacceptable writings, except for those he specifically listed as 'acceptable' even 'canonical' — a list that constitutes the present 'New Testament'". Pagels cites Athanasius's Paschal letter (letter 39) for 367 AD, which prescribes a canon but does not explicitly order monks to destroy excluded works. Heretical texts do not turn up as palimpsests, washed clean and overwritten, as do many texts of Classical antiquity. According to author Rebecca Knuth, multitudes of early Christian texts have been as thoroughly "destroyed" as if they had been publicly burnt.

I didn't indicate anything... did you infer something?

I was only responding to your request for books that Christians are responsible for burning

Have you never heard of "The Crusades" or "The Inquisition" or "The Dark Ages"?

<snip>

It's the good old standby of hate,  Jew Hate.   Over and over and over.

<snip>
I never could understand the Jew hate.  I make jokes about Jewish stereotypes, just like Pollack jokes but I don't hate or even dislike either population.  Some of my best friends are stupid fucking Pollacks and every Jew I've met has had a heart of gold.  I haven't even noticed cheapness or tightness with money.  Strange.

As an Atheist I suggest Stop With These Topics (which are boring).

And Jew Hate topics are redefine boring.  Even beyond the extent to which religioous shit is boring, which it definitely is.   Nobody that had a life would preen on and on about old books crap paragraphs.

And if such people don't have a life, they don't have an afterlife.

For a zero, they get a zero.

Jesus says, "Don't be a hater"

How are people supposed to learn right from wrong if Atheists don't help educate them?  Do you really want sheeple to get their morals from the bible and Koran?

Since you are an Atheist, I assume you have read the bible

Topics like "why do atheists hate christians","why do atheists hate religious people", etc..  should stop. I mean, I don't know about the rest of you but topics like these are stupid regarding the religious hate, and people who are seriously starting these, no one really "hates" anyone just because of their  religion. I mean, that's my opinion and view on it nad seriously hating someone because of his religion is stupid. There are a lot of muslim guys that I know that are completely ok and some orthodox christians that are on the edge of grabbing a sword and running around killing people. So please, stop with that shitposting.

Hmm... Yeah zealots hate atheists. Atheists hate religious.
The two are not compatible ^^

I agree... there are a lot of racism in the world. Why we need to talk about it in a international forum where "every one" is "the same"?
"we are all satoshi" . Well stop racism topics and also with stupid fud discussion, we know all crusaders but why talking already?
why give other elements to create racism between people?
I don't know and I don't agree with those threads.

The irony of someone called tyrantt telling us all how we should behave, on a forum dedicated to a protocol created to trust no king nor emperor, is pretty funny...
