Title: DarkNetMarket.org linking to scam website. Post by: PowHashClear on February 17, 2016, 07:41:28 PM Hello guys, I recently was experimenting with mixers and I got scammed out of .1 BTC (which is entirely my own fault). I'd like to take the time to warn you guys about the existence of a legit website and a few(?) scam versions of the website. I read about Helix via Darknet Markets (https://darknetmarkets.org/a-simple-guide-to-safely-and-effectively-mixing-bitcoins/), but their link is wrong. I've contacted them and we'll see if they update their link. They link to a scam website here:
hxxp://grams7eu3phkfrt3.onion/helix/light/ The official and legit website that works (I managed to send .1 BTC) is here: http://grams7enufi7jmdl.onion/helix/light Here is the response from Helix after I contacted support: Quote I would like you double check the URL you used to access Helix Light, the ONLY URL that is ours is: http://grams7enufi7jmdl.onion/helix/light. I ask this because the Helix address you gave me comes up as "invalid" in our system, and when I check the blockchain: https://blockchain.info/address/184iTvFaCyw2bXeJrTqSSFP9aNw94ZV2mW, I see multiple transactions associated with that address, over the course of 12 hours. A real Helix address is only valid for 8 hours, and only has 1 incoming and 1 outgoing transaction associated with it. If you used any other URL, then you have been scammed by one of the 3 or 4 FAKE Helix Light phishing scammers that are out there. Please double check this info, and let me know if you have any further questions regarding. Ok, upon further review of my messages, I can say with good certainty that you were scammed, and are not alone, another user sent to the same Helix Address, which is impossible with our system as each transaction gets its own, unique address. I'm sorry for your loss, please be careful out there. tldr; I got trounced. Use http://grams7enufi7jmdl.onion/helix/light. Title: Re: DarkNetMarket.org linking to scam website.
