Title: BTCPak stole my bitcoins... twice!
Post by: FixTheFernBack on January 16, 2013, 11:34:42 AM
This is getting ridiculous. I attempted to buy a $250 Moneypak over a week ago through their website, btcpak.com, and immediately after I sent my BTC to their wallet, my computer bluescreen'd and I had no chance to write down their transaction number. E-mails to support@btcpak.com go unanswered and no other method of support seems to be offered.

I decided, stupidly, to try one more time with a $500 Moneypak but this time I went through blockchain.info's interface where they have a built-in "BTCPak Withdraw" feature. Blockchain sent my bitcoins to them, but never provided me with a Moneypak code! Phone calls and e-mail to blockchain.info are also going unanswered for over 24 hours.

Has anyone had any success with BTCPak.com lately or is this site now a scam?

I've had success these past two weeks with hundred dollar moneypaks. The first took 12 confirmations because I sent it through the Blockchain.info anonymizer without using a blockchain.info wallet. The second I sent from my client and it appeared in 6 confirmations. I just keep my browser open to the page where I made the transaction and write down the transaction code immediately. My most recent transaction with them was yesterday morning.

. . . Phone calls and e-mail to blockchain.info are also going unanswered for over 24 hours . . .

You can try sending a PM (Personal Message) to piuk (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=17928).  He is an administrator at blockchain.info and is active on this discussion forum.

I'm new to BTCpak, and i just placed an order for 250....I was wondering how long does it take in general? because i've been waiting quite awhile and I haven't gotten my bitcoins yet

Same thing happened to me today with an order for a $1000 BTCPak from blockchain.info.  They were out of paks but I lost my bitcoins anyway.  How did this turn out for you guys on this?  Any response from either blockchain.info or BTCPak?

Happy ending to my story at least.  No response from blockchain.info (it is a weekend), but BTCPak answered my email today (Sunday) and took care of it for me.
