Not something all people can do you have to be a great talker and people need to get inspired there are some story's about some big sects in past and future. Also some big horror story's. Not something I want to keep me busy with.

LOL xD Well that's a good question! It all depends about where you live. In some countries there is still a mandatory tax for religions so you just have to be officially recognized by the state. If in your country you can apply for a tax relief if you make donations to a church, and such donations are tax free then you can turn up with any sort of bullshit, just make every believer a priest who can accept donations :). If the tax situation isn't that bright, then you really have to find out something what can comfort people, but distant, misty, difficult to understand and also difficult to prove or disprove. Also good if you can define an enemy, but don't make it too specific otherwise you can run out of enemies, or if you make a wrong choice you can get your ass kicked by that other group. Promises. Promises are important. As if you aren't after tax relief, most of your believers will be a bunch of losers, so you really have to promise something what they want, but can't achieve in this world (e.g. 72 virgins seems to be a popular reward). You also have to position your religion on the market. Unless you have some plantations or mines you don't really want to go for the poorest. In my country the churches do not pay taxes. And it is much cheaper to start a church for less than 1 BTC you can register the documents of the church and do not need a minimal amount of followers. It's easier to analyze them than widespread ones. Then you formulate your main ideas and try gathering people to talk about them. Together you may write The Book of your religion. Congrats!
