Title: CPU Mining Ethereum Post by: rocketron on February 19, 2016, 07:09:31 PM does anyone know of list that shows mining hash rates for eth on cpus ?
would it be worth investing in some Azure servers you think ? Title: Re: CPU Mining Ethereum Post by: bathrobehero on February 20, 2016, 03:13:49 AM CPU mining is dead for a very long time now.
If you want to CPU mine Eth, you're better be prepared to wait roughly 5 months (on average) to find a single block with 1 Mh/s (= i7 5820K). Title: Re: CPU Mining Ethereum Post by: XERES on February 20, 2016, 10:38:46 AM at this point you need a gpu to mine ETH, otherwise you are wasting your time and energy
Title: Re: CPU Mining Ethereum Post by: Indianacoin on February 20, 2016, 10:48:24 AM I wonder whether a gridseed can be tweaked to mine Ethereum.
I think it is an hybrid of script and SHA so why not try with it maybe? But ether is soon reaching its POS phase so it will not be worth mining much. Title: Re: CPU Mining Ethereum Post by: fortunecrypto on February 20, 2016, 12:39:11 PM CPU mining is dead for a very long time now. I am doing minergate cpu mining and my earnings was way to low it's better to work on faucets than cpu mining,I am still surprise that minergate still do cpu mining when it is not practical at all ..If you want to CPU mine Eth, you're better be prepared to wait roughly 5 months (on average) to find a single block with 1 Mh/s (= i7 5820K). CPU mining will happen again in about 10 months for Ethereum. It will be a PoS coin then. You need a CPU to process the blocks. How is that possible can it really happen,if that is the case I will be readying my cpu's to mine ethereum, will the price still the same or will it go up or down by then... Title: Re: CPU Mining Ethereum Post by: rocketron on February 20, 2016, 09:02:57 PM so that means the botnets take eth over ::) ? lol what will happen the difficulty though when cpu mining is re-introduced with pos, will it go back down ? It is the Staking with CPU. You need some Ethereum first. There is no ASIC now and not in the future as Ethereum will become PoS. Title: Re: CPU Mining Ethereum Post by: CookieMonstaSMTH on February 21, 2016, 05:03:30 PM Can anyone help me with stats? I'm mining I dwarfpool with one PC and I can't see my stats in mining section but I have earned some eth around 0.03.
Title: Re: CPU Mining Ethereum Post by: mikewillda on February 22, 2016, 09:07:14 AM in the http://dwarfpool.com/eth, type in your Ethereum wallet address in the worker stats, you will see it.
Title: Re: CPU Mining Ethereum Post by: CookieMonstaSMTH on February 22, 2016, 10:48:16 AM Physically I'm mining... and I have earned some coins, but in dwarfpool stats showing 0 mh.
Title: Re: CPU Mining Ethereum Post by: apriyoni on February 22, 2016, 08:32:38 PM What is your hash rate in your cpu miner?
Title: Re: CPU Mining Ethereum Post by: CookieMonstaSMTH on February 23, 2016, 09:17:46 AM it's around 1.7-3 mhs (one instance)
Title: Re: CPU Mining Ethereum Post by: apriyoni on February 23, 2016, 01:21:51 PM it's around 1.7-3 mhs (one instance) So it is 15% of a 280x. If the power consumption is less than 10W, it is profitable to mine with CPU. Title: Re: CPU Mining Ethereum Post by: CookieMonstaSMTH on February 23, 2016, 03:20:55 PM And it is totally free for me. Can you help me to setup eth in lots of machines? I'm now mining with eth cuda miner in cpu mode. But the problem is in stats, I can't see the true hashpower of my machines and it shows0 m/hs. And I got this messages everytime, while mining:
Code: miner 16:36:19|main Getting work package... |
