Introducing CryptoMat Faucet

Welcome to the official thread for CryptoMat’s faucet.

We are an established crypto currency blog magazine located in the UK and have been online since early last year.

You can earn minimum 100 Satoshis every 10 minutes with our faucet and maximum is 1500 Satoshis every 10 minutes. We will be experimenting with payout and percentages, as the faucet gets more popular. We suggest following us on facebook to be notified about when we decide to adjust payout percentages.

We have set the referral at 50%. This is our introductory offer and again, we will monitor this closely and adjust it base on user feedbacks and earnings.

Thanks to the numerous thread and discussions on this thread we have configured the security of our site to allow for only genuine users to claim. We however understand that this means we might have blocked off some genuine referrals in the process. Please drop us a message or use the contact us page on the website to verify your accounts with us.

Site layout is not very ad intrusive and website is mobile responsive allowing for mobile users.

If you cannot access our website, chances are you are either using a proxy server or your IP address has been naughty on another website and has been flagged. Sorry we can’t do much about that.

Solvemedia security setting is currently at 3. I tried out 4 and It took 1 out of 4 times to get it right. However, we do not want to annoy users and so have kept it at 3. We are currently waiting for approval from Funcaptcha.

All payments are handled by faucetbox.

Hey admin,

A couple of times now, after my 10-minute cooldown, I have refreshed the page, filled out the captcha, and clicked the anti-bot buttons, then click the "Get Reward" button, and nothing happens. The button doesn't submit any data, and there is no action afterwards. I have to wait a minute, and then refresh the page and try again in order for it to work again. Maybe there is some kind of issue with the timing of the cooldown timer that's affecting the form action of the button... Thought you'd like to know, as it's pretty annoying.

I also had a user direct message me on Twitter to thank me for referring them to the site, but I have not seen any referral commissions in my FaucetBox account. You're using the Faucet in a Box solution, right? Haven't had that happen before, but maybe my referral scrubbed my ref link from the url before signing up :/

I just tried recreating the problem and have not been successful. This looks like an intermittent bug and I will be looking out for it personally. Yes we used Faucetinabox solution to handle all referrals and payouts. I can look up your referral code in the backend stats to see if it records but other than that not much I can do. User probably removed your referral code

I just sent him a message via the website using Maxthon browser, my comp is fine nothing malicious here.

Firefox is showing up as ok, its only Chrome users who are having this trouble as far as i know.
As for any other browsers showing that message, I don't know.

I'm now getting an error where I cannot claim. The notice started with stating that I must wait 1 minute before I could claim. When I checked again, it stated that I needed to wait 6 minutes. Now it's stuck at needing to wait 10 minutes before I can claim again.

//EDIT: I have just checked again after writing this post, and now it is stating I have to wait 8 minutes before my next claim. I haven't made any claims since writing this post, but I will provide another edit after the 8 minutes have passed.

UPDATE

We can confirm that within the last 48 hours our main website was hacked and a malicious code was injected. I have spent the last few hours cleaning up the website and have generated new passwords to safeguard this. We are still unsure how this happened but extra precautions is being taken.

The google chrome team reckons it will take up to 72 hrs to update their site database. Once goole and sucuri updates their cache the malware message will disappear.

I guess we under estimated how much attention running a faucet site generates. In the last 24 hrs alone we have had to block over 15k attempted logins.

We have not had anyone else report this issue you are experiencing and have been unable to replicate it over at our ends. Please send a message using the website contact form with your wallet ID and I will personally investigate it further.

Payments will continue as normal every 10 mins.

As I'm writing this, it seems as if the faucet is working properly. However, this has happened before, where all would work fine, and then in several hours, errors will pop up again. Please investigate.

Faucet just vanishes after making a claim, nothing goes to Faucetbox.

The faucet is pretty damn good, too bad those bugs that weren't here at first keep happening now.

UPDATE

Firstly, thanks to everyone that visited the website when we were hacked. Analytics showed that many of our users clicked through the horrible red page, sincerely we say thank you.

Malware

It took me and the team 3 days to clean the website. As you can imagine, it was not just the faucet that was attacked but our main website too (powered by wordpress). Every .js file that resided on my server was injected with a code. In the end we could not clean it up and had to do a server restore. I can now say the site is clean again and google has updated the security cache for the site. If you visit the site and notice a malware page, please do a page refresh and you will be presented with the fresh cache.

Timer Bug

Special thanks to @BTcforJoe for the one. After trying out all possible scenarios, we found out that it came down to two main culprits. Cloud flare cache or the antibot script we are using. We have removed both of these and the timer works perfectly now. We will investigate further and notify you once we reach a final resolution.

We will all  continue to pay as high as we have been paying and the 50% referral bonus is still running.

Website has been working fine for me, everything is still readable, even my comment is still there on one of your articles.
But for the past few days the faucet is not working correctly.
Maybe i should delete my cache/cookies but not sure about it.

The last few days we took site on and off while we tried cleaning it but everything should be working fine now. But please let me know if you find a bug that needs investigating.

Notice that the address is from css[dot]gdegetumoyadyra[dot]info. Do you recognize this source? Maybe they are the hackers?

Clear your cache. The site is clean now and that is from previous hack.

That was put there on purpose until we find a suitable anti-bot script. If you claim and come back after 10 mins from the same IP with our cookies in place, you will not need to enter your code over again as the script will remember it.

We have just increased our payout to up to 10,000 satoshis every 10 mins.

We are still paying 50% on all referrals and will continue for the time being. We have completely fixed the malware that infected the website and the website is clean across all spyware servers.

We are back with full force now and site is now even more secure!

Great! To be honest, I have stopped using your site because of all the issues. I'll play around with your site again, as it was great and high-paying before all of the malware issues. I'll report back any findings, but hopefully all is well, and we can earn quite a bit with this again!

I'll be waiting for more update coming from your site sir thank you for cleaning those malwares too risky for us faucet collector I think you need to add more protection to your site but if you said that it was already clean that is much better to heard from you thank you for sharing and good luck to your earnings.

My referrals are now complaining that they cannot enter their address in order to claim. Something is going on with the site that doesn't allow you to type, or to select and copy any text on the page, nor right-click anything. Please investigate and fix so I can start paying for my ad spots for your faucet! Thanks much

Hello, the disabling of copy and paste is the only protection we have against automated bots. Asking us to disable that is like asking us to remove the last line of defence. We can disable it and then crap the site with ads and pop ups, email authentication and all that annoying stuff that seems to plague some other faucets. We disabled copy and paste as we still believe typing your address to be last line of defence for automated bots, especially imacro scripts.

I am sure they can enter to claim. We just disabled copy and paste. The referral link can also be copied. Some sites have a registration feature before you can claim, some have email address verification etc. To be able to pay as high as we do we need a way to weed out bots, and this is the only thing working now. I really believe that is a low price to pay for the high payouts we offer.


Thanks for the update. The site has been super clean for about a week now while we monitored it. We also have sucuri firewall running to add to the extra layer of security.

No, copy and paste does not work. And there are dozens, if not hundreds, of sites that allow copy and paste. And to ask someone to enter their wallet address? That's absurd. And you cannot copy your ref url because, well, copy & paste does not work. Do you expect users to manually type out their referral url, as well? Again, there are hundreds of sites out there that allow you to claim without having to register an account on the site; I'm sure you're aware of some of those sites, but if not, I can link a few dozen for you. Let me know.

Unfortunately, with this type of restriction on your site, users will not return, and you won't get the traffic you need in order to successfully create income from your advertisers. But what do I know, I'm just some guy begging for fractions of a cent on your faucet. Never mind the network of referrals I can bring to the site... 😓

I know it takes a lot to run a faucet, and security is one of the highest priorities, but you should probably do a lot more research to provide security for your site while you make a good user experience for your users.

Quite Amazing faucet man. You are paying 100 to 10,000 satoshi every 10 minutes, you give your faucet really good start. I hope you'll be safe from bots and hackers, be carefull there are so many bots running  around between faucets and bitcoin sites.

Thanks BTCforJoe for your concerns. I have looked at all these faucets and like I mentioned above they are spammed to death with ads and pop ups. If you want a faucet that pays as high as we currently do up to 10k every 10mins you will have to make some adjustments. Our referral rate is a bumper 50% also. Once we get the anti bot working, we will disable the copy and paste.



Thank you very much. We are working with a programmer for a new anti bot script and hopefully it will be live soon.

Just an FYI, bots can be programmed to inject their address at the source (which I can do easily by using the debug console in Chrome), so your blocking of the copy & paste does nothing to combat those bots. It just deters users from using your site.

If you want, I can write a bot script and run it for an hour to show you. I'll return whatever I make from the "attack", but if bots are going to attack you, they're going to attack you. By making it more difficult for humans to use your faucet just provides a horrible user experience, mate. I'm just looking out for you, bud. I've had quite a few referrals tell me that they're not gonna use your site because it's annoying to enter their address every time, which means now I'm losing out, as well, for spending money to advertise your site. I have since stopped running the ad campaign in hopes that you would fix this, but it looks like you won't.

So sad, because the potential for your faucet to have become a gigantic hit has passed TWICE now.

I'm still going to use it, but I will no longer be pushing traffic to it mate, no offense.
