Title: Strip Club Visitors Told to Pay Bitcoin Ransom or Risk Character Assassination
Post by: twister on February 24, 2016, 07:25:41 PM
Yesterday, Fritz Mueller, the Strip Club director told media, that somewhere around 50 and 60 benefactors of the Globe near the Swiss city of Zurich, in Schwerzenbach, were being threatened by a group of “moral” hackers. It seems that the hackers somehow got hold of the clients’ personal information and are now threatening to send their pictures to their family and companions.

The nightclub manager Fritz Mueller said the sender may have gotten the personal information of the Club clients through their car license plates since it is perfectly possible for someone to request the names of Swiss vehicles owners.

The hackers were also able to get pictures of the people attending the club, but Mueller said that the photographs might only be from outside the club because the strict rules of the club don’t allow customers to use cameras and mobile phones within the building.

This I think is worse than the Ransomware, hacking systems is much difficult than just taking photos of people going into strip clubs and more copy cats will soon follow this trend, is my concern.  >:(

I concur. A gentleman with a wife and three kids at home thinking that he's on a business trip in Switzerland should enjoy his downtime via getting down and funky.

There's enough pics of the inside of the place for a blind architect (BTW, I know of one) to draw up duplicate plans of the place.

Here's a thought. Pretend you own a strip club. Business has been slow of late and you're in dire need of cash flow. Solution? See OP.

Well, I would say that 2000 BTC are more than just cash flow ;)

It's $2,000 in BTC so around 5 BTC... anyway this is not the way to get Bitcoins! They must be earned not stolen like this

some points.
1. if the strip club is saying the pictures and details were taken via a patron taking pictures of the parking lot and other patrons. its not a hack. its spying.
2. out of all the places in all the world why swiss.. this narrows down the investigation that the perpetrator is local.
3. smart investigators can try working out what night all of these blackmail victims attended to work out a day the spying happened. and use any witness or security details to narrow down the suspect pool.

in short bitcoin wont protect the blackmailer if investigators are smart enough. the blackmailer has not covered his tracks and could get caught far easier then the ransomware scriptkiddies

What really surprises me is these: The victims can't pay $2,000 USD together?. After seeing the pics of the club, I would think they have more than enough money to pay that ransom.

And to be honest, I would like the police to be working on more serious cases than this one.

Don't do things you're embarrassed about?

Pretty much sums everything up... If one is going to a strip club it's because there's no issue in going. If there are issues, someone's doing it wrong... So it's 2000$ in BTC today or being exposed any way or another tomorrow. One can't live a double life forever.

As for the news itself... People are always going to find a way or another to profit with Bitcoin, Euro, Dollar, Yuan... and so on.

Hello slave.

The idea everything you do should be posted on the web coming from this forum is horrifying.

Why would anyone pay that ransom? This isn't like having an affair. This is no cheating. The guys went to a strip-club. Or is that club actually a brothel in disguise? Do they have pictures of men with their hands on the bum of a waitress? If it's only pictures a car parked on the street in front of the club, there's no need for alarm.

Agreed.  Lots of people go to strip clubs for lots of reason.  I know of a couple that went to one cuz it's their anniversary and they wanted to have fun.

They are open minded... I know the story of a business man when he go to pay for him and for friends (work affair) he has not credit/can't pay with card. Then he call her wife...and she pay for all! This was a true story told by a swiss nightclub manager.
Every one could ask ransom with btc... probably it's more easy than pay with cash...but by the way how can trust a moral hacker?
I mean after a payment they could request again.... and so on...

Loool... they call themselves moral hackers??? That is just hilarious.
And what kind of morality their attitude has? Sooner or later they'll say they are Christians trying to make sinners pay...

Probably these are the same persons who are anti-vaccines. Lay-people hearing these news would think BTC is for extortion.

Really? Over a fucking strip club? I never really saw the point in them but piss off, what people do in their private time is their business, I am so sick to death of interfering self-righteous assholes who tell us all how we should live.

This is a perfect example of ignorance on the part of the people doing this. They think they are doing something good, but they are just as bad. They blackmail people for one and they do more damage to those families, when these people are forced to pay this money and they cannot feed their wife or kids.

We should put a bounty out on them, and expose them and see how the public feel about them. ^hmmm^

We did have enough money, but then Moundy Marsh started to dance and next thing we all knew, we were broke.
