It seems faster to me as well, especially since I frequently turn the client off for a day or three when I'm not using the currency. Catching up seems to be a lot faster - both its reading of the blockchain and its fetching of new blocks. I'm guessing is the real difference with fetching new blocks is it processes them faster. At least it was faster yesterday, when it had 26 hours to catch up and today, when it had six hours to catch up. Title: Re: Are you getting many Satoshi 0.12.0 nodes in your peer list? It takes time before the majority upgrades; you can verify that this process take a while yourself using Bitnodes (https://bitnodes.21.co/nodes/)(as linked above). When I was syncing, I was getting data only from a single 0.12.0 node.
