Title: [DONE] 2 BTC - logo for Trezor: Bitcoin Hardware Wallet Post by: stick on January 21, 2013, 02:33:39 PM Hi all!
We are in a need of catchy logo for Trezor: Bitcoin Hardware Wallet - see http://trezor.bitcoin.cz/ (http://trezor.bitcoin.cz/) for more info (atm redirects to its thread on this forum). Rules:
Some additional info: The brand logo should associate security, reliability, something safe, not easy to break, strongness, power. It can also associate treasure, things of high value. It should feel strong, safe and reliable, heavy and secure. It should differentiate from other bitcoin related brand names. Thank you for your time and effort! I am thinking specifically of Chinese/ Japanese. For instance, 'treasure' in Simplified Chinese is: 宝 Bǎo I am not a Chinese speaker so I am sure much nicer transliterations are possible (i.e. using two glyphs to give a "treasure-ey ness"). Personally I think Chinese/ Japanese look better in icons than our rather boring Roman characters. Ah, no, I'll fix the first post. Acceptable are: "trezor", "Trezor" and "TREZOR". Also, have you thought what you want to call it in other writing systems ? Let's stick to latin alphabet for now :-) Title: Re: [BOUNTY] 2 BTC - logo for Trezor: Bitcoin Hardware Wallet Post by: shade on January 21, 2013, 03:29:58 PM ]by participating in the contest you agree that you waive all your rights related to the logo and that we can use it for our product even by participating, not only one you will choose and actually pay for? sounds weird to me :) Title: Re: [BOUNTY] 2 BTC - logo for Trezor: Bitcoin Hardware Wallet Post by: jim618 on January 21, 2013, 03:35:14 PM ]by participating in the contest you agree that you waive all your rights related to the logo and that we can use it for our product even by participating, not only one you will choose and actually pay for? sounds weird to me :) It avoids the : "You have incorporated an idea from MY icon and I still have the rights to it." Say if they want to tweak the winning icon to use, oh I don't know, a particularly nice font rendering. Is it useful to have a logo that fits well into it?
Title: Re: [BOUNTY] 2 BTC - logo for Trezor: Bitcoin Hardware Wallet Post by: jim618 on January 22, 2013, 10:00:16 PM I notice all the submissions are using just black and white.
By monochromatic do you also mean that people can use greyscale too ? If so, knowing the number of levels of grey on the Trezor screen would be useful. if (american) { s/grey/gray/g } Title: Re: [BOUNTY] 2 BTC - logo for Trezor: Bitcoin Hardware Wallet Post by: stick on January 22, 2013, 11:35:12 PM I notice all the submissions are using just black and white. The display is 128x64 pixels, so ratio is 2:1 Title: Re: [BOUNTY] 2 BTC - logo for Trezor: Bitcoin Hardware Wallet Post by: nexus6 on January 23, 2013, 11:22:51 AM Trezor V.2

It is a 8-bit bitcoin all made from little squares in a a vector file :P https://i.imgur.com/noP4iVR.png Title: Re: [BOUNTY] 2 BTC - logo for Trezor: Bitcoin Hardware Wallet Post by: slush on January 23, 2013, 12:31:27 PM There's no need to fit the logo for the display. Logo will be used on many other places (website, offline materials, on Trezor casings) and logo on the display may be somewhat simplified (for example just "O" with key hole if some similar concept will be chosen).

All made in vector format. https://i.imgur.com/25z9p4p.jpg Also a version with some depth https://i.imgur.com/z9HSiKG.jpg My favorite in etalic and a nice 'terminal font' tag line https://i.imgur.com/YlsWMDc.jpg And something more logo like https://i.imgur.com/RintLsB.jpg Title: Re: [BOUNTY] 2 BTC - logo for Trezor: Bitcoin Hardware Wallet Post by: Beefsock on January 25, 2013, 03:05:07 PM Hey, just wanted to drop by with my entry.
