I'm mining SpliffCoin because the devs abandoned it. There's so few people mining it, most of the coins are going straight to me. I'm also collecting the cheap dumps from the exchange it's listed on. Once I feel I've collected enough, I plan on rebranding it and using it as the currency on a game server I'm working on.

I mine Ethereum, it gives me most profit and the price is high. But the network hash rate rises fast. So it might not be profitable in the future.

i said with a single 970, i was planning to add another, but based on the estimate i should get 1.5 decred instead i'm getting only 1 per day, dunno why, there is some major inefficiency perhaps

Litecoin, because it's profitable and the price and difficulty have been fairly stable for about a year now (since the block reward halfing).

Was mining Bitcoin, but the diff increases have gotten crazy again of late, waiting to see what the 14/16nm generation holds before I decide if I'm going to get back into that or not.

Im mining nothing just Staking and Masternoding. Mining is a Waste of time, Energy and Money - unless you have BIG
Hashrates or something.

i'm currently mining,  piggycoins,LTC,Gcoin,Dotcoin.  Piggcoin for long term investment, LTC hold value, Gcoin can be convert to Dodgcoin, Dotcoin convert to Dodgecoin.   So i'm only using altcoin to hold value or retain for long term.

You do not need too big hash rate. For Ethereum mining, you just a few 280x or 370 to earn a few dollars a day.

How profitable it is to mine the Decred? Is it more profitable than mining the Ethereum or other coins?

I mine some Ethereum. As I have GPU and it is the most profitable coin to mine at the moment. If there is another  one, I will mine as well.

I mine Ethereum and sell most for Bitcoin. It is the most profitable coin to mine for my GPU. I just want to keep a few of that.

I also mine the Ethereum. The trade volume of this coin is quite large. So I can sell the mined coin in the market easily.

I only mine with GPUs. I can sell the GPU after I finish mining. But for the bitcoin, it is difficult to sell after it is not profitable.

The price has dropped to $10 now. So it might not be profitable if the difficulty double again in the next few months.

It is still quite profitable to mine Ethereum. So many people are building mining rigs to mine it. The difficulty is rising fast.

The net hash rate of Decred is growing fast now. This is due to the release of the dual Eth and DCR miner.

Started mining Ethereum on my new machine - it was designed for combined RC5 (A10 GPU) / Mersenne Primes (A10 CPUs) / Folding@home (3 x GTX 950) work but I decided to repurpose the GTXs to mining for a while to help pay for part of the cost of the rig while Ethereum is profitable.

Depending on what happens to DASH with the new but VERY LIMITED IN NUMBERS so far ASIC rig for X11, I might switch over to DASH mining for a short while once Ethereum becomes unprofitable or goes PoS and can't be mined.

Once Ethereum and DASH are no longer profitable or barely break-even at best, I'll switch the GTXes back over to F@H and generate a few Curecoin while I'm at it.

No, it's nowhere near an "optimal" mining rig - it's a "use what I got while it CAN mine effectively" rig.

 8-)

I'm learning to like the EVGA PrecisionX utility. Tried MSI's Afterburner, but couldn't even READ the bloody display on the thing due to excessive use of tiny dark fonts on a near-black background, and a VERY PITA method for switching between vidcards (on my machine it was showing the A10 as the first *5* GPUs somehow, THEN the 3 GTX950s, then the A10 a couple MORE times - and very ANTI-INTUITIVE and mildly PITA method to switch between GPUs, as well as a notable less friendly UI in general).

I remember using some other utility on a couple of my 7750s at one point (probably something Sapphire put on one of their driver discs) that I also kinda liked, but don't remember if it worked as well - and all the 7750s are in Linux boxes now so they're all about aticonfig any more....

I've been actually folding and working on CURE coin.

I got dual 980 GPU's and an i7-5820k folding and making about the same amount of CURE -> BTC as I would mining BTC with just my miners.

Ah, but Bitcoin is pretty much ZERO return the last few years for GPU mining - ASIC got too efficient and powerfull too long ago  for SHA256.

How many PPD are you averaging and how many Curecoin per day on average do you generate with that rig?

But the profitability of these coins are very short. They are must pump and dump coins. After the dump, it is worth zero.

On average around 300-370 Curecoin per day depending on the WU's that are completed.

I'm not mining BTC with my GPU, i'm using my 980's to fold and get curecoin in return, which I then exchange on poloniex for BTC. My PPD is around 600,000 points a day. It fluctuates between 580,000 - 610,000. The longest Work Unit my computer has had to to was 4 hours. CPU based WU's are around 2 hours, and most of the GPU WU's are 3 hours.

who care, you only need them for increase your bitcoin, after you take your profit those coin are worth nothing to you anyway, dump and move to the other

this game is endless will last forever, there is a big business here, big miners are also behind those coins, i suspect...

I see. We just need the shit coins to get to the bitcoin. It is not our concern if the shit coins will last long.

Mine the shitcoins while they're profitable, then shut down (or in my case revert to my competative nature on crunching other stuff) 'till the next profitable shitcoin comes along, then mine THAT for a while, rinse and repeat.

But in the background I have some real miners running.....

If my voltmeter is working correctly all my ten overclocked cards are pulling around 210w from the wall. I will look into it when i get back home though.
The temp in the area around the rigs dropped to pretty much nothing after i went NeoScrypt.

edit. Now when i started thinking a bit it might be that one of my kids have been messing around with the buttons on the voltmeter and switched it to Volt. I will check it when i get back home later today :D
I only checked the numbers on the display quickly some day ago when i switched algo.
