Title: Scammed by Samdo
Post by: nakedbitcoins on February 26, 2016, 10:20:50 PM
I've been scammed by Samdo (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=550281) re: some work for a website & signature campaign . Total loss ended up being a few hundred in BTC.

I made a mistake by even saying I'm giving him a 2nd chance ( if you read the thread thats what I said word for word ) as his trust was negative and he had some paid work before and everything was going good.

Here is the links to PM conversations and him formally scamming me out of my escrow and website redesign:

Here is the original sig campaign link:

More to come.

You should have already not agreed to work with him seeing his negative feedback.
The ponzi campaign he was managing was full of drama (signing up with his alts + newbies)

Secondly in spite of giving him a second chance you should have escrowed your payment to a trusted member from this list -- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=108716.0

Sorry for your loss op. From next time never go with scammers.

I particulalry love the part, where when being asked for the funds placed in escrow with him, he answered "I spent the funds".

It is a lesson learned. I had paid for work and he had done the work ( small job that is )  so figured it was fine. But for a sig campaign I figured people just didn't like the ponzi type system and he was just a sig campaign for the person doing it. Turns out that wasn't true but a lie also.

New one by a trusted member is now opening here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1378288.new#new). Thanks everyone!

Good to know. Yes everybody makes mistakes in Bitcoin world.
Hope you should rectify now. :)

Btw there is no funds in the new signature campaign's escrow address.
Just a friendlier note ;)

Yes, I'm going to get around to filling it up just taking all my time to formally get back everything together ( funds, file the formal complaint etc.,etc )  I hope to have it tomorrow.

WTF! Really? You kidding me?
Anyways past is past. Next time please be strict to your own judgements rather than someone else's social engineering.

I really hate the part when he said "You are threatening me for no reason". Feels like bashing him on his face.
But anyways nothing can be done.

Did you pay him via PayPal?

If you have paid in bitcoin then formal complaint will not help anyhow.

Btw can you send me the transaction details (if you have sent him bitcoins). Let me help you by tracking it down if he has any alt accounts with higher ranks.
