What are you talking about? The price was between $432-436 yesterday and had been there for days before dropping to $422 at the (current) lowest.
Nothing you could do in minutes. And the gap is smaller.
 ???

$332-336?  I think you're thinking of the wrong currency unless I'm on the wrong planet.  OP, you got lucky if you did what you said.  Things could have gone in a much different direction, as I'm sure you know.

I don't buy and sell that quickly, at least not in large amounts like you're talking about.  I find it hard to time it correctly.  With my luck, I sell at 440 and it keeps going up.

Yeah, of course I meant $432-436. I've already edited.

I took a big risk, but it paid off. I set a stop loss order, I made about $20 earlier this morning, so I thought I'd set a stop loss order for a loss of $10. It worked.

Good for you if that really happened but somehow can't find on the chart with something of similar situation since you said, few minutes later. All I could see is on Feb,23 same scenario happened but after 8 hrs the price went that low from $440 to $423. Was this your case?

Probably on a Chinese exchange, prices are almost always a bit higher on there.

you mean he did something like arbitrage trading? cause that's the only thing possible if a Chinese exchanger (except Okcoin because they had lower price) had a higher price their low price would still be high i mean they won't have $420 as low.

P.S. OP is offline now, i am interested to know where he is trading. so i will come back and check later.

i did some day-trading in bitcoin a while back too. it is good if you know what you are doing so you can earn a good profit. but it took a lot out of me, a lot of time consumed and a lot of stress so i have paused the project for time being.

yes that was easy and the only way to earn much bitcon from profit of trading bitcoin, but the matter is,how we will know that the price gonna raise again after going down, not every fluctuate we can earn money.

You never know what the right moment is to sell it. Maybe you see that the rising has stopped now.
But it can also that the worth will rise more later in the future and than you will get some more profit. It is hard to predict.

This is a right time to buy as well sell. When considering about selling you get good profit. But on buying the profit is the value of bitcoin is not expected to go down of $400 for a long time. This shows the price will increase gradually to give good profits in near future.

I started off with 0.2 from some signature campaign earnings, and invested in a few hyips here and there, and gambled and luckily won.

I then started bitcoin-fiat trading, and over the past two years, I've accumulated about 4 BTC profit.
I have try to earn fast few coins investing in Altcoins, more or less i was successful.
But if you accomplish to get 4 btc from 0.2 then you are really good.
You should try to invest more money.

First i can't remember which signature champagne was before 2 years?

Second here and on a trollbox on exchanges i can find only winners or they claim they are.

That's nothing. I bought 100 btc  on Feb 10 at $380 each. A week later it went up to 430 when I sold. I made $5000 in A WEEK.
I love fishing stories.

Don't be disappointed because there are predictions that the value of bitcoin will be doubled after halving so hold on and keep saving so that you can invest in bitcoin at the right time and sell it when you get a good return on investment, just like me and you there are many users waiting to invest in bitcoin and sell it at the peak time

Congratulation mate for trading your bitcoin at the right time and getting a good profit and short term. Bitcoin price is now 429 and going up. May it cross 440 again, you can continue the process again or you may end up in regret for missing some big gaps.

You dont know when it is a right moment. I think because you never know, because you also dont know what is going to happen with the value.
It can be also that you have sold it and that the value after that will rise more and more so you wont have a right moment.

Yeah I know, but some traders heavily rely on some mathematical indicators (and if you want to do automatic trading you can only depend on them).
These indicators can be good to anticipate some known patterns and thus selling/buying at the right time.

As we can see price never rising constantly without downfalls.

So if you follow trends you en predict and earn some small profit.

Bu this is nothing if you compare gain after halving..

Well, that is actually greed and you have to set a greed level before buying, because once you have not sold at a good price you wont be able to convince yourself to sell at cheaper than that. Better be wise than loosing all.

It is hard to know, if you have sold it at the right moment. I think it is also possible that it can be more worth.
And that is very difficult to expect that. But you can now see that the price is also rising very slowly and that is good.

Its good that you sold on the right moment in your opinion, but I do not think its good to sell now at all.
The halving is also coming and it will make you let profit for sure so I think it would be stupid to do.

You are partly right, the bitcoin is not to predict at all but this is also the fact the price can rise to a high point from a moment it was not likely to happen.
So its always the question if you sold on the right moment because the price can go rise further on moments that are not expected.

It is of course good that you have made some profit, but if you wait a while than you can have some more profit later maybe.

You are right, its not to predict you should just sell your bitcoins when you think the price is good and the profit is also good to sell.
Its always your own choice so just have t be on the loom out for price rise moment so you can sell them quick.

The point is right, the bitcoin is not to predict, and it will never be, maybe in the future but I think this will be highly unlikely.
Also the fact is that the bitcoin can be sold on any time and its your own choice if it was good and not someone else, if you made profit on it no matter what its good of course.

I did not sell at its highest point, but managed to sell on the way down and re-buy 3-4 dollars lower. Not much, but its something for me.

The right time to sell bitcoin if the price in this month touch $450 and i think it will happen in this month..
Lets hope it will happen so that we can make a profit with our bitcoins..

It's good if you have a lot coins to trade with, but if you just trade with 1 or 2 Bitcoins then it's not really worth it if you ask me. The profit for that is too low, and you risk selling while the price may go up after that.

i never do trading as i never manage to earn anything because i dont sell at the right time, my coins are just idling in my wallet and thats it, i dont use them

yes unfortunately I do not have a lot of bitcoin. but I think 1btc is enough to make profit and I hope to get $10/day :)

What are you talking about? The price was between $332-336 yesterday and had been there for days before dropping to $422 at the (current) lowest.
Nothing you could do in minutes. And the gap is smaller.
 ???
$332-336?  I think you're thinking of the wrong currency unless I'm on the wrong planet.  OP, you got lucky if you did what you said.  Things could have gone in a much different direction, as I'm sure you know.
Lol. He made a mistake, already fixed now. I don't think it happened within minutes. I was out of the house so I couldn't do anything. :(

You never know what the right moment is and that is the problem. I hope that more people will wait a longer time.
So the value will be higher later and that you can get have some more profit in the future, but you never know what will happen.

Well maybe you did sell them on the right time but this is also not to predict of course.
You cannot say that the bitcoin will go to a high amount next month so its your own choice to sell and its just also a bit of a matter of luck in my opinion.

Indeed, I think selling right now is not the right moment but it also depends on how much you bought the bitcoin.
If you bought them on 50 dollar its of course a big profit so why not is the question than right ?

If you are happy with that, then you are doing a good job. But as I said before, you risk buying back at a premium when you sell to secure a $10 profit and after that the price goes up. How many times in the last 30 days have you managed to gain your daily $10 profit target?

Sounds like me lol.

Best way is to trade when you know for certain that price might consider a pivot - esp with the whole halving news.

Other then that I never trade as well.

It's really hard to predict when will the bitcoin price increase but now i beleive more that the price should be increased at the end of this year, and that should be the righ time to sell.

Just dont panic if you see that the price drop its only normal or buy now then profit later as the price will increase in a few months.

No, I'm now familiarized with bitcoin, but at that time, it was a bad situation when I needed some money and needed to sell at whatever the price was.

OP sold his coins at $440 and profits a hundred bucks, and probably he bought back later, and I think he is also aiming for the high price the halving would bring...He made the right decision I think..  :)

I can tell you that you never know what the right moment will be for you to sell your coins, maybe it will be more worth after 5 months or something.
And that is the bad thing of Bitcoin, is that you never know what will happen with the value in the future.
And that is you have to take risks to sell or buy it.
