There is no wallet like that. If someone telling you otherwise then he is uninformed or is trying to scam you.

If you want to earn additional bitcoin the only way is investing it or trade. Forget about passive wallet income.

The only wallet I know of that provides interest, albeit very small, is HaoBTC. AFAIK they are a legitimate company and they have a huge mining operation. There is a thread about that mining op in the mining section.

that is not a bitcoin wallet. because you have to give your bitcoins to that third party to hold for you while you have no access to the private keys, you will only have an account and a promise of return.

and if they run away, get hacked, scam you,... you have nothing on your hand.

The only reason you have passive income from keeping money in a bank is that bank use your money to invest, or put it on short time deposits, and of course to finance loans of other people.
Will you fine while knowing that your bitcoins are used in the same way, but bitcoin market is far more unstable?

There is nothing like that in bitcoin because btc has a proof of work.
If you are looking for something like an interest, then try Proof of stake coins but you should put in mind that their price inflation is so high

And when you put money in a bank, the interest earned typically lags behind the inflation rate so even though the number gets bigger, the spending power decreases.

With bitcoin - the number stays the same but the spending power *generally* increases.

BANX with its banx.io was once had a program of giving some monthly interest if you hold your BANX amount. But it announce it'll shutdown within this month if I'm not mistaken. Also if im not mistaken, they'll move into new website. Maybe they'll put the same program to the new site.

Wouldn't we all love a risk free solution?
A wallet (risk-free) is different from a bank/company (risk, no matter how small) which pays interest.
You have to make a choice about whether you want to risk your bitcoins or not.

The cost of a transaction is cheaper than chicken feed, it really is.

As everyone already has said, there is no wallet provider that pays interest on your stored bitcoin.

For someone to pay interest, the bitcoin needs to be invested somewhere (lending or trading) and hopefully returning higher interest than what they pay out. This is how normal bank savings accounts work. The beauty of bitcoin is that you can do this yourself and there are heaps of options, but you need to understand the risk involved. So do your own research.

Following are a few options:

Magnr provide a savings account which pays 2.35% (low risk)

BTCPop have a 5% savings account which is low risk and then a range of pooled investments which can pay up to 50% but are higher risk as the funds are used for peer-to-peer lending.

Bitfinex have a margin-funding system where you can lend your bitcoin for others to trade. Returns vary and it sounds crazy but is fairly well run.

Then there are the ponzis/HYIPs - high interest but extreme risk - you have been warned.

The basic rule is: the higher the interest paid, the higher the risk.

Check out www.stacksofcoin.com/invest-bitcoin for more info.

there are some services like exchangers that will pay you some small interest if you keep your cryptocurrencies in their wallets but there is a very big problem with all of them.

when you keep your crypto in those places you won't have access to your funds except through them, so if they decide to close up shop (Gox, Bter, Cryptsy,...) you will be left without your crypto and the small interest they have paid you will be useless.

Do they allow it if you withdraw the btc all of a sudden? maybe you need the cash very badly.

I'm kind of skeptical, it may be ponzi.

I don't know that it is, but I would be extremely cautious before using their service.

-=-

There's nothing wrong with converting bitcoin to fiat to invest in safer investments if your goal is grow value.

My philosophy with bitcoin is to grow spending power by holding as it beats the dollar. I'm skeptical of companies that claim they can increase your bitcoin because that means what they do with your bitcoins to earn value has to beat the increase in spending power that bitcoin already gets just by sitting.

And I would never borrow in bitcoin because paying the same amount of bitcoins back is a huge HUGE amount of interest even if you borrow 5 and return 5 three years later.

-=-
Be very careful of anyone who claims they can pay you back more bitcoin than they borrowed. If they really could, they would be better off borrowing fiat to do what they want to do to make money. So why aren't they?

At one time, when Ponzi's were still new to the forum, one of them paid out to a service called, https://www.asmoney.com/ and I had some money in there for a while. I received frequent emails with the interest I received from that money, and I still have some money stored there.

Currently, AsMoney supports Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Peercoin, and Darkcoin. You could drop a few coins there to test it out, and report back to us here.

There are no fees regarding crypto currencies, and only 0.5% fee is charged for local currency transfers.

Read more here : https://www.asmoney.com/compare.aspx

Disclaimer : I am in no way affiliated to this site, and just mentioned it here, because I have used it before, with no problems.

however i suggest everyone to use third party saving/investment service like btcjam , you lend your money and get interest from it instead invest on random site that offer a good profit which it's too good to be true.

We know there's no wallet to have an interest for keeping our bitcoin in wallet but why don't you try to lend it in services section with valid collateral so than you can make some profit with your money rather than investing it holding it in unknown wallet giving a benefits interest just holding it in your wallet. Most of them are scam so its better to lend it to make a profit if you want to hold for long term you can still make money because value o bitcoin is gradually increasing every week and month's. Wait for end of the halving the price will rise so that you are still make a profit or you can lend for monthly interest.. we have a section for long time loan with interest so that you can still make money..

I haven't seen such a wallet or bank that provides such yearly interest. Only things that give interest are money games and revshares that deal in bitcoin. I sometimes play them for fast earnings but they are what I would deem as high risk investments. You can currently also buy MYWINK shares that are going up in value and each share gives you 10 usd in value dividend for one year.

Yep. Given that Bitcoin's values are very unstable. I don't think this would be possible with Bitcoin. I guess miners and faucets would be the best option left.

That's still a science-fiction with bitcoin, if there is one doing this it would be suspicious in my opinion since they need to be investing the bitcoin and somehow cover the interest on it not from the HYIP's new investor paying old investor strategy.

The old  fiat system has interest and Bitcoin has volatility. If you use it's flaw in your favor, you will make more profits from your Bitcoin investment and trades than you would make with the interest

banks gives you. You just need to be smart and very patient. You just buy when the price is low and sell when it's high... many people here are doing it and they making some good profits. You can

even trade in Alt coins, and back to Bitcoin if you smart. Just watch out for pump n dumps and never invest more than what you can afford to lose.  ;)

Nope.....such wallet doesn't exists.

However, you can use BTCPOP.CO and move your bitcoin in to their savings account which will give you a little interest (around 5% APR).

But I can't assure you about the security of the website neither will vouch for it. Use their service at your own risk.

there is no easy way to earn profit from bitcoin. if you are looking for a place (website) to give your bitcoin to and then sit back and receive the profit each month then i have to tell you there is no such place. and if there is they are trying to scam you.

you have to work with your bitcoin on your own like trading, lending, .... or give it to a friend that you know and trust and he/she does that for you and share the profit.

there is a difference in wallet and banks , your wallet do not give you interest but the wallets are for keeping your money, a place for keeping your money, the same is case with bitcoin. It is the banks which pay you interest. So wait for the time when bitcoin banks come into being after that you will get the profit.

So you want free money, free coins out of nowhere just because you hold a few...

Let's say everyone will store their coins in such a wallet.
Where would the coins for the interest payments come?
The only solution would be a fiat printing  bitcoin hard fork so we can all have unlimited shitcoins cause a coin that does not have a cap can't be called bitcoin.

Be careful what you wish for...as day by day I see BTC resembling more and more digital fiat.

Well, you can use freebitco.in as a wallet and it pays you interest provided that you maintain a balance of at least 30,000 satoshi. It is currently 4.08% yearly interest but they pay it daily at 0.0109589% per day and rounded down to the nearest satoshi.

It is a faucet, so maybe this would surprise some people, the same way as I was surprised when I first heard of it, but it can be used as a wallet and I use it as such nowadays.

(the poster above me is right)
My signature leads to their faucet and is a mining operation and provide 4% compounded daily for investing in them. They have been around, support all the forks AND have always paid out.

I don't think any wallet will pay you interest on keeping the BTC in their wallet. Instead, they might charge something to give you wallet service. You are not lending them BTC, You are just keeping it and you got all the rights to withdraw all BTC anytime.

No there is no wallet like this, but there was one but never ever put your coin on something like that, putting your money on a wallet like this will mean you are giving your wallet access to scammers. They will keep your money for a week or month then they will run away with everything they have collected, and they will use your investment as a proof that they are legit and can take money from other users.

I don't think this wallet exist. If there is a chance that you find one, i can't believe they give you your private keys. It will be a pure scam.

Guys here, maybe you missed or don't care to read Don Pedro Dinero's post. As he said and I agree too, there is onr known wallet which pays you for holding money and that's freebitco.
It's a little different, you receive percent weekly but if you withdraw money everytime, if I amn't wrong you can't get % on whole deposit. I mean that you have to keep bitcoin weekly in order to get some percent from them. Better to read rules and you'll understand everything, it will take some time from me to explain everything.

Just to clarify a little detail, below is the quoted explanation from their site and I've bolded them for tl;dr case

You will get daily interest from freebitco, I can say that for sure as they have a table of detailed income from this interest, which include the date and amount received.

It's quite an old thread, so I am not sure if the OP even still visiting this thread or not, but a little advise that I should include (or rather a disclaimer that I didn't hold any responsibility if something wrong happen) to anyone that's interested on this, you have to use your own common sense when using this feature. I've been using freebitco for a long time and never had any issue with them, I am not against them at all, but if you want to deposited your money into their site for this feature, keep in mind that you didn't hold your private key and you can't control your balance in case something wrong happened one day. Never invest more than you can afford to lose.

Quote
Receive compounded daily interest on any balance that you hold in your FreeBitco.in account, without doing anything.

All you need to do is mantain a balance of at least 30,000 satoshi (0.0003 BTC) in your FreeBitco.in account and we shall pay you compounded interest on your full balance everyday. There is no lock-in period to earn interest (you start earning interest right from the first day!) and your balance can be withdrawn any time you wish. Treat your FreeBitco.in account like an instant-access savings account to hold your excess bitcoins and earn passive interest on your account balance everyday.

So far, I didn't hear about this type of passive wallet that can generate interest (except those ponzi and scam wallets)

If you really want to earn more BTC, maybe you can consider leasing your BTC to others (still, it's also a little bit risky too)

HOnestly speaking, there is no wallet as such that provided interest for keeping the coins as many as we can put. Still i suggest be aware of such people who inform that interest is being provided is scam or ponzi and be far away from them as they can make u loose u r money within no time. I suggest just buy bitcoins and hold them at good prices so that the upside can still benefit you more than providing interest in no time. Just follow the trend we will make money for sure in no time, have patience and best of luck to all of us.

Well their is no such wallet which pays you money for keeping your money in the wallet just like banks pay interest for keeping your money in it.
Also, as you have raised this question maybe someone will take idea from here and create one?
If this happens if their is any wallet which pays interest on keeping your Bitcoin in their wallet then I am afraid they are going to run with your money when there is enough users with enough Bitcoins in the wallet.

You use it as a wallet and you expect to get profit. Never had this happen if it was not ponzi. No meal is free.

I also do not have any experience about such wallet where they pay interest for keeping bitcoin. In fact it is against our religion and is against our the law to take interest to keep money in banks or wallet and take interest on it.i In fact interest on anything is not allowed. So i never try to find such place where i can put my bitcoin and can get interest on it.

When we keep our money with banks they have us interest on our deposits because they lend the same money to others and ear interest there on.
As bitcoin is a decentralised digital currency it is not possible do function like bank.
However there  are websites like (https://www.coinstaker.com/bitcoin-finance/savings-account/)  and exchanges are also there like Bitfinex, coinLend, Magrn, Bter etc. which claims that they have bitcoin Savings account facility and they can have u interest on your bitcoins.
But reliability on  these sites is quiet risky.
Paying interest is not possible because Bitcoin's values are very unstable.
I think miners and faucets would be the best options.

I know one but that is a faucet but it can act as a wallet based on them and that is freebitco, offers 4.08% interest rate yearly for storing your bitcoin to their wallet, i know it is a risky one to move your bitcoins there although they have been established for years as a faucet, they are anonymous and have no physical establishments. aside from that there is no wallet that is paying the interest of the holders.

I see it as an expectation for the new paradigm to fit into the molds of the old.

Bitcoin uses the proof of work system so you cant stake it without turning to some external scheme and you can believe that u wont be in control of your private key.

there are alot of separate cryptos that are being developed and the most popular distribution system is ico, but there are also airdrop schemes that have proven to be effective and extremely low risk.

Airdrops seem to have some qualification requirement to receive the coin distributions. Byteball is one of these and its requirement is that you have a bitcoin wallet and you are allocated proportionately to your btc holdings.

As said earlier, the only one I know for now is freebitco.in, who pays 4,08% a year interest if you let more than 30k satoshi balance on your account there. Actually they invest part of it in mining and share their profits with you.

One of the best bitcoin wallet that I know that pay interest for keeping money is the coins.ph. I don't think that there is a wallet that is created for bitcoin and also pay interest by just using their wallet and storing or keeping some of our money in it because if that is true that there is a bitcoin wallet that pays interest then it will become famous and very popular in different people and countries also because of the opportunity for earning and staying safe but as of now, i don't think that there is existing wallet like that.

I do not believe this purse can be safe. They exist long as a crane. I do not see that during this time, they would become mega popular. It seems to me that this is alarming and I do not recommend using this service as a wallet to save bitcoins. Reliable purses which pay % for possession bitcoins not.
