Title: Looking for pre-Bitcoin era whitepapers and proposals Post by: JackH on February 28, 2016, 04:13:11 PM I am writing a piece for a blog, and for historical context I would like to gather as much as possible on work done towards ecash decentralized systems as possible. I am familiar with both Bitgold and b-money. What else do we have out there, and what else was released that pointed towards becoming a Bitcoin-esque system?

You are looking for pre-bitcoin era stuff, but bitcoin was the first cryptocurrency out there. There were some attempts before bitcoin, but they were centralized and had a risk of double spend. |
