Ok Dan. If in the beginning of SAFE Network, Safex (SEC) is the first and only app, i believe it's fair to say that 1 SEC = 0,1 x Safecoin (MAID now - or ~ 0,1 x 20.000 satoshis = 2.000 satoshis). That's a short-term target.

But, necessarily, SEC must follow MAIDs fluctuations.

There are three forces in the price of SEC: i. the chase of a part of MAID, 10% (always up until we reach now 2.000 satoshis) at top, ii. fluctuations of MAID (could vary) and iii. fluctuations of Bitcoin.

Info:
- MAIDsafe= Safecoin
*after mainnet release MAID token will be converted 1:1 to Safecoin
- Safex= SEC
*first app that will be running on top of SAFE Network known as Safe Exchange -  exchange going BETA sometime mid March 2016. You will be able to earn Safecoin by submitting votes over Safex.

I don't know a whole lot about Safex, but how can it be going Beta in like 2 weeks when Maidsafe hasn't even released its MVP yet? I mean, don't they need a bit of time between the network going up and the release of their exchange? And MVP is just some minimal release anyway... would it be functional enough to run the Safe Network?

It might be delayed who knows. But the owner of SEC seems to know the dev of Maidsafe, there are several Youtube videos when they talk together so Im pretty sure he knows exactly what needs to be done and when Maidsafe will release the stuff needed to get Safex running.

And it is Beta and then 2½ months later it is going to be the release so there is plenty of time to test it.

MVP = Minimum Viable Product.  Meaning it has to still possesss the range of basic features that it needs in order to function as it claims it will, but no polish yet.  So if it sticks true to that, it will run the SAFE network if it is the true MVP release, by definition.

I think it's got a lot of potential, I've been stocking up on it. I think the price doesn't stay this low for long, it has a pretty small market cap. With a little bit of volume I think this thing will start moving pretty quick. I'm just hoping I can grab a few more bags before the new wallet / chilli updates start coming out.
