OpenExchangeRates offers a free currency API for general use. While reading about it, I came across a section in the FAQ referring to Bitcoin!!

It's got very wide fiat coverage and Bitcoin support went in very recently. To prevent spam the site owner requires that you have a unique API key per user (it's free to register) and with that you get 1000 updates a month ie hourly updates. I intend to pick up Tim's work when it is released and use it in MultiBit. |
