Hello,

I want to warn everyone not to trade with the user 'EngineeringMechanics' (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=718549).

This user scammed me and did not send ANY money!
I sold my Amazon account with a $430 (!!) balance and left after 1 day is the money under here.
He changed passwords, but I was still able to see the information below.

Just asking. I never heard of someone selling an account with almost $500 in it. Is this like a $500 store credit or something? First I've heard of someone selling their loaded Amazon account.

Yep, it was loaded with giftcards, no credit cards or anything.

move topic>scam accusations

So did Amazon give it back to you after running through verification steps in the live chat or over the phone? Pretty sure changing account owners is against their TOS.

Have you contacted Amazon to let to know someone has hacked/stole your account I'm sure they can help get your money back or they might call his local police to report theft.

Might not go too well after she starts with "I tried selling my Amazon account"

CALL Amazon and inform them that your account has been hacked

Why didn't you use an escrow? Even though there are all risks for the buyer of you taking back the account or having it loaded with carded amounts, if the buyer would be fine with the risks explained you could have find an escrow.

And surely there would have been no way that you would not have gotten your bitcoins since you would have send him the details only after he sent the bitcoins to the escrow.

As others suggested - recover your account via Amazon customer service and if you want the scammer to get negged you should provide more proof, e.g. PM/chat messages.

Never claim that you sold it though. Tell them that he somehow got access. If you tell them that you sold it then you and the scammer will lose it.

Though I guess he might have sold it long ago already.
