I see no one is interested in MLB but in recent days for me I have had some good wins betting live in play and today was my best win on Chicago Cubs winning against San Francisco. I put them on at the top of the 8th inning @$4.20 as they are a team that never gives up and they proved that by scoring 4 runs in the 9th inning to win the game and series. I also have them to win the World Series @3.25 which is looking good right now. I also have the Cleveland Indians to win the World Series @8.00 so I'm hoping both teams make it and either way I will win my bets.

I have just put a bet on live in play on the Toronto Blue Jays vs. Cleveland Indians game for the Toronto Blue Jays to win @4.30 currently they are down 3 runs to 0 and they are about to start the 6th inning. Toronto need to win this game to stay alive in the series and as we know it can just take a few good hits and they can be back in the game. It's a risky bet but I couldn't pass up on the nice odds and they are only 3 runs down.

Well my live in play bet on Toronto to win the game didn't pay off as the game ended 3-0 with Cleveland winning and now they go on into the World Series to face either LA Dodgers or the Chicago Cubs. In a way I'm happy to see Cleveland make the World Series as I have a bet on them to win @8.00 and I also have Chicago to win so I'm hoping Chicago make it through as well because then for me I don't care who wins as I win either way.

I got the LA Dodgers winning tonight @2.34 and even though I want Chicago to win as I have them on to win the World Series, I think the Dodgers will win and need to win as this will be their last home game of this series against the Cubs and they don't want to go down 3-2 heading into Chicago tomorrow night so this is the main reason why I am picking the Dodgers to win. It's been an even contest so far with both teams winning on the opponents home field.

I took the dodgers also vella

seems like no one around here cares about baseball which is understandable
as its pretty boring. I did think there was going to be interest for playoffs but
so far not much.

Go dodgers I'm with ya.

Let's hope they can win for us mate and yeah no one is really interested in baseball here lol but if I can make some money on it then I'm interested lol It is a little boring as I'm not into as much as the NFL but when you have money on a game it doesn't make it a little entertaining to watch.

Good luck mate!

Dodgers lost again and are now down 3-2 in the series. As I said it didn't matter for me if the Cubs win as I have them to win the World Series but I thought the Dodgers would win this game being at home and plus now they travel to Chicago down 3-2.

@vella85. Well that was unexpected. The next game will be at the Dodgers' stadium, correct? I also believe that Clayton Kershaw will be pitching in that game unless I got the wrong information. If Kershaw is pitching then I will be confident that the Dodgers will go thru and play in the world series. But there is also a chance for the Cubs because it is a must win for them. If it was at the home stadium of the Cubs it might be good to bet on them.

Yeah it was, The next game will be at Wrigley Field Chicago and now with the Cubs winning last night they go in with a 3-2 lead and play on their home field where they have been hard to beat. I still give the LA Dodgers a slight chance as they did beat the Cubs in game 2 on the Cubs home field. However the Dodgers have been blown out in their past 2 games with the Cubs winning 10-2 and yesterday 8-4 so they need to turn it around if they have any chance at making the World Series and need to win 2 road games in a row which will be very tough but anything can happen in sports.

By the way Kershaw will be pitching from what I read and currently the Dodgers are favorites to win @1.70 and the Cubs @2.15

I know how you feel mate and to be honest the Cubs are paying good odds to win the game playing on their home field and I also think the Cubs will be fired up for this game as they know they can clinch the series win tonight. But something is telling me the Dodgers will win.

The Chicago Cubs win and are now into the World Series to face the Cleveland Indians. I think that it would be a great World Series to watch and if I had to pick a winner I think the Cubs will win and break there World Series drought. But either way I don't really care as I have both teams to win anyway so I win money no matter what. I would prefer Cleveland to win as I'll win a lot more but I'm not really fussed.

@vella85. It was truly a disappointing result. I was always rooting for the Dodgers to win it all this year. Considering everything, I am happy to see the Cubs have the chance to win the World Series. How long has it been since they have won it? Has it been decades long? That is a very long time for a team like them. Kinda like when the Celtics were the dominant force in the NBA a very long time ago. Thing thing that you would only read in the history books.

Yeah it was, the Dodgers were blown out in the last 3 games which was disappointing. I believe it has been 108 years since the Chicago Cubs won the World Series which is a very long time for a team not to win anything.

I can't believe the cubs are -220

seems like the odds are way to high and I will have to take the
Indians. Also Indians have 4 vs 3 home games. On the other side I
wouldnt mind cubs finally winning afer being bartman jinxed for years.

@Rubberduckie. -220 for the Chicago Cubs to win the World Series? Yes I agree that is a little high and with a implied probability of around 69%, it would make sense to bet on the Cubs every game if the odds permit. The 1st game has the Chicago Cubs at -112 in nitrogensports.eu.

I am very excited for this series to start tonight.

I'm expecting this series to go to game 7 only because I think both teams are evenly matched and it will come down to home field advantage so for the 1st game I am liking Cleveland even though they are the underdogs in this game and also I like the odds on offer for Cleveland @2.10

I also like the Cubs to win the series 4 - 3 @4.60 as I'm expecting a 7 game series. But either way I win as I already have both teams to win.

The World Series finally starts today and I feel that the Chicago Cubs should be a decent favorite to win it against the Cleveland Indians. The Cubs were the best team in the regular season and proved that they are the team to beat in the postseason. While the Indians have also done well to make it this far, they have not played a superior team yet, and for that reason, I think the Cubs will win the World Series in 5 games, which will be their first World Series Championship in 108 years!

Title: Re: Major League Baseball/MLB Regular Season Discussion
Post by: vella85 on October 25, 2016, 09:38:30 PM
Well tonight is the 1st game of the World Series like we all know already and I decided to put a bet on Cleveland money line @2.10 and lucky I did as they are almost equal favorites now with the Cubs so this tells me that nothing really separates the two teams and that I think it will be a close game. I'm liking Cleveland even more now that they have come in from 2.20 to 1.95 depending on which sportsbook but most have them under 2.00 now.

As I said I'm expecting it to go to game 7 and I did also put a bet on the Cubs to win 4-3

Cleveland won easy tonight 6-0 and they finally scored 3 home runs after the 7th inning which they haven't been able to do this post season. It was a nice hit for me as I got them on @2.10 ML and by the time the game started Cleveland were the favorites so some big money must of come late for them at the ML.

In game 2 tonight I like the Cubs and so I decided to put a bet on them at the money line $1.73 I think they can bounce back from last night's blow up and square up the series 1-1 heading into game 3 on the Cubs home field.

Good luck to everyone who has a bet on the game.

I thought I would take the cubs to tie it up 1-1 but wow the line
was ridiculous. Even if the cubs win I still couldn't justify laying that
much odds on the road vs a solid team.

Title: Re: Major League Baseball/MLB Regular Season Discussion

Re game 1. I did not expect Kluber to do very well for the Indians in the first game. But the Chicago Cubs' hitter also looked like there was a certain meekness with them. They were not aggressive enough and kept waiting for the right moment. They should have tried to score runs when it was 0 - 2 and risked being striked out.

Game 2 is much better. :)

I know what you mean but $1.73 were pretty good odds for me and I'm glad I did take them as the Cubs won easily and never really looked like loosing. This will make the series interesting now that they are both locked at 1-1 and the next 3 games are played in Chicago so either the Cubs wrapped it up at home or Cleveland get a road win and take it back to Cleveland. Could will see a 7 game series like I am expecting?

Title: Re: Major League Baseball/MLB Regular Season Discussion

I think the Chicago Cubs win tonight however I don't like the odds for the money line so I am going to take a risk and take a bet on -1.5 runs. The Cubs would want to win their 1st home game of the World Series and take a 2-1 lead in the series. So far in the 2 games both teams have blown out the opposition so I'm hoping the Cubs do it again.

Title: Re: Major League Baseball/MLB Regular Season Discussion

again another huge win for the Indians and just like game 1 it sets up
for a great opportunity to bet the cubs game 4.

I can see this going back and forth. I think if you play cubs game 4
and if they lose double it game 5. Like an arb bet. I don't see them losing
4-1 and losing all 3 at home.

Yeah it was a huge win for the Indians and not only did they win huge but so did Vegas. The Cubs were odds were coming in right up to the start of the game so a lot of money was waged on the Cubs last night. They were too short for me at the money line and that's why I went with the -1.5 point spread. Even though I lost I'm well in front in the series so far as I won on the first 2 games and I also have either team to win the World Series. The Cubs are at much better odds for tonight's game around the $1.80 mark, I'm still deciding on who to put my money on. It should be noted that Game 4 is where the "Curse of the Billygoat" began for the Cubs in 1945, 71-years ago. Can they win tonight a break the curse?

I might just sit this one out and see what happens.

yeah may be smart actually they are really telling with the odds

The fact that the line is only -120 is saying a lot (like maybe the indians
is the play) I still think there is some value to the zig zag

I'm surprised that more people aren't talking about the World Series. Either Chicago or Cleveland will end championship droughts that have lasted for over 70 years, including the Cubs' record 108 years and counting. The Cubs look to be the better team and the team who I think will end up winning this series, but are currently losing it 2-1. It would be absolutely heartbreaking to all Cubs fans if they see their team have the best record in the regular season, easily make it to the World Series, only to lose when it matters most.

Well now the Cubs have made it very hard to win the World Series after going down tonight and going down 3-1 in the series. The Cubs need a win in their next and last home game of the series to stay alive. Can the Cubs do what The Cavs did in the NBA finals and win the World Series being down 3-1 and they will also have to win 2 road games to achieve this.

I am now pretty confident that the Cubs win the next game at home and Cleveland will have a chance to win the World Series on their home field.

I am also hoping the same mate as I have the Cubs winning the World Series in 7 games so can they do what the Cavs did earlier this year and win 3 straight games to win the World Series? I think they have the team to do it, well to be honest both teams are just as good as each other and a game 7 would be exciting to see.

Currently the Cubs are favorites to win game 6 and I would say they have the momentum going into game 6 but the Indians did show some fight in that last game so I think the momentum is 50/50 and game 6 could go either way.

A part of me wants the Cleveland Indians to win and at least give that place something to celebrate for. I have heard that many parts of that city are affected by poverty in a big way. Having them winning the world series would surely boost their morale over there.

Title: Re: Major League Baseball/MLB Regular Season Discussion

I still think that the Cubs will win Game 6 tonight and force a winner-take-all World Series Game 7 tomorrow. It will be extremely difficult to win two road games but the Cubs were the best team in the regular season and they have a fighting chance. One of the two teams will be left heartbroken when this series is over, and I hope it won't be the Cubs, because the fans and the organization have suffered enough in the last 108 years, trying to win a championship and being disappointed season after season.

Baseball still needs work with speeding up the game to fix how boring it
can be but this series going 7 helps baseball be more exciting.

Go Cubs Go!!

I'm now set to make a big payday if the Cubs can win game seven, as I predicted that this World Series would go to game 7 and I have the Cubs to win the series 4-3 @4.60 But either way I'm set to win as I have both winning the World Series before it even started.

However as I have been saying can Cleveland win in game 7 just like the Cavs did earlier this year, if they can that would make it 2 championships for the city of Cleveland in the one season and that hasn't happened in 14 years where I believe the City of LA did it.

I've been sitting out the past 2 games and not having a bet because it is tough to pick a winner and I'll also sit out game 7 as I already have money on either team to win.

I am rooting for the Cubs

Go Cubs Go!

This Game 7 of the World Series between the Cubs and Indians will be the most anticipated baseball game in many years. The Cubs have the momentum of winning the last two games to force this final game, but have to win the seventh game on the road, which is no easy task with everything on the line. I think the "Cubs Curse" ends tonight and Chicago will finally be able to hoist the championship they have been waiting 108 years for!

The Cleveland Indians were shortening in price the last couple of hours and even come in under $2 with some sportsbooks but in the last 30 minutes or so they have been blowing out in price and are now back out to over $2 so I'm guessing a lot of money has now come for the Cubs at the money line to win.

@vella85. Yes and it looks like those bettors are probably the sharps or smart money. The Cubs are now leading 3 - 1 at the 5th inning. But it is still far from over and 3 - 1 is not a huge gap to cover and surpass. We'll see if the curse of billy goat is indeed real. :D

I don't really watch much baseball as I find it so boring, but this final game in the world series is one for the books.  The score is 6 - 6 on top of the 9th inning with the Cubs on the bat.  Oh and it's the final game, whaaat?  So good.  :)

I wish I made a bet on either of these teams just to make watching the game more exciting.

Cubs win!!!!

That was one of the best game 7's ever and I'm so glad that the Cubs won and broke the 108 drought for the City. Cleveland won the NBA championship so that's why I wanted the Cubs to win and also because I would win a nice amount of money on them winning.

I just made a nice amount of money as I had the Cubs to win the World Series @@3.25 and I also had the Cubs winning the series 4-3 @4.60

If anyone took my tip and won congrats!

Wow what a game. So many ups and downs for both teams. I feel bad for Cleveland bettors. They just got teased so hard. As for the cubs bettors, that must've been the sweat of a lifetime. I don't think any team that was up by four runs in a World Series game 7 has ever lost, and that was super close.

feels sad for the Cleveland. i thought it was all for them its was so special for them to win it. but my cubs and my half brown brother deserves to be a winner. winning a 3-1 series is a historic game just like the cavs and the golden state. kudos to both team. what a nice game. awesome!  :o

This had to be one of the best baseball games of all time and delivered on all expectations. These two great teams gave it their all, and I am glad that the Cubs finally broke the curse and won their first World Series since 1908. I think the Cubs will be a difficult team to beat in years to come and many more World Series championships are in their future. The Cubs have to be the early favorite to repeat as champions in 2017 and I would not bet against them.
