Sorry, I'm a bit of a cryptonote noob.

I'm getting Error: Failed to invoke RPC method: HTTP status:2 when I attempt to start mining.

I have placed the bitaltcoin.conf in the folder with the rest of the confs attached to the windows wallet.

forknoted.exe is status "synchronization started"

simplewallet wallet was created and online

I've changed firewall rules to accept incoming connections, try now.

same problem

Neither minerd or yam are able to connect.
I'm able to mine in other pools to confirm a working connection, however not this one.
It seems to have an auth error, even though the password to auth is default x.
the wallet is legitimate.

I'm getting "failed to connect to localhost:29081" from simple wallet... Not sure why. Configuration file is showing as correct and it says I'm synchronized from the nodes.

EDIT: I really just want to gen an address so I can mine. The ones I tried are being rejected by the pool saying the username is an unknown address.

Try this as a config file and waith 3 maybe 5 minutes before opening simple wallet.
It's mine and I'm sync OK with it

Thanks, but it didn't work  :( It's like simplewallet is looking for port 29081 for some reason

then remove all the roaming folder completely like i've done and restart forknoted and after sync the simplewallet.

Yep I got the same thing.. on a fresh install on a different computer. Nowhere in the conf is port 29081 even specified, but for some reason it is looking for this when I run simple wallet. Then when I try to connect to the pool, it tells me the address is invalid as a logon because it hasn't seen it yet? I downloaded the wallet from OP.

EDIT: So it looks like I got the port problem figured out, but now the pool is telling me I have the wrong address entered when I try to mine. Who knows...

We removed BitAltcoin because all seed nodes went offline and there was no block mined for a couple of days.
