I have this motherboard (http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?InvtId=GF6100-F-E&AID=10439518&CJPID=3793426&cm_mmc=CJ-_-2617611-_-3793426-_-Geeks.com_Gifts (http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?InvtId=GF6100-F-E&AID=10439518&CJPID=3793426&cm_mmc=CJ-_-2617611-_-3793426-_-Geeks.com_Gifts)), and I'm thinking about purchasing an ATI Radeon 5770 Graphics Card. The card description says I need a PCI Expression 2.1 x16.
My question is will this card work on this motherboard? You should be able to use any speed card with any speed board. They will be compatible, but it just won't run at the faster PCIe 2.1 speeds. Luckily, PCIe bandwidth is a non-issue for miners, and has almost zero affect on mining performance.
