I need to buy a small amount (like $20 a month) worth of bitcoins to pay a service.
I do not want to provide an ID or associate with my credit card.

I prefer to do it online as well and not in person.

Can anyone please advise me on how to do this?

you should find somebody who lives around you and sells you bitcoin in exchange for cash, you can find it on localbitcoins.com (either cash face to face or bank transfer)

you also might want to buy with PayPal, but it is hard to find someone who accepts it because of charge back possibility.

you can always look at the currency exchange section of this forum... From time to time, there seem to be possible deals.

because gpu miners need something profitable to mine, $20 is like 1/21 so around 0.05, this can be generated easily with 1 gpu only(970 or 280) in 5 days, or 5 gpu in 1 day

any online solution consists of you paying money through some sort of payment processor, whether you use credit card, paypal, webmoney,.... they all have some sort of information (ID) about you.

if you want no one to know you bought bitcoin then you have to buy it with cash, face to face

if you want no one to know what you did with the bitcoin you bought, you can buy with conventional ways and then use other methods to cover your track (search for detail). like mixers to mix your coins and using an altcoin toe exchange to altcoin and back to bitcoin again.

You can do it easily if you are using a payment processor like moneybookers or if you buy debit/gift cards for the value and send the actual recipe with the code over localbitcoins to a trader.

but it'll be really hard to exchange PP to BTC on this forum, especially for somebody with a newbie account... If you want to do PP to BTC exchanges, try out virwox.com (they have huge fees, and can take up to 48 hrs to process your first withdrawal, but they do work).

You can just try to find a seller on the forum itself. There are users who have their exchange services and they can give you the required amount every month if you have a deal with them which wouldn't make you search for one and since you require just $20 every month.

You might check localbitcoins, based on your location there are Bitcoin sellers. $20 is small amount so there could be sellers doing this without verification through bank account or other methods. Just check it out and expect to pay premium on localbitcoins, +20% probably compared to actual average price at exchanges, but maybe you find a lot of sellers so it could be more competetive.

I too suggest localbitcoin, it helps to find the traders with ease. It also helps with the trust mark. One can find a trusted trader and make his buying through localbitcoins as it has got the option to find traders of a exact location.

i think you can trade your money for bitcoin online this way you can buy TC without showing your ID you ca buy from other users here in the exchange sector on this forumn

It is preferred to just buy bitcoin on LocalBitcoin on face to face meeting without any need of any ID or credit card (by using fiats) rather than get a mining equipment for an amount like $20.

Oh really? I checked what alts (based on SHA 256 algorithm) I can mine and it is nothing close to being profitable. In fact differences with bitcoin mining and altcoin mining are really not that big.

You are right. His investment would be more expensive than the amount which is probably not worth for a user who does not need to buy bitcoins regularly rather than monthly.

for 20 you need 1 gpu only, you can generate that amount in 5 days or so, so it's doable, without the need to find a stranger and meets it for 20, which is not that easy as you think

you need first to find someone that actually know what bitcoin is...etc...

Casinos aren't the right way to get more bitcoins and trading is the most efficient way to get bitcoins although it takes time for withdrawals. Usually if we go through websites or buy bitcoins independently without verifying our identity, it is more risky than getting them from sites like Virwox which are highly trusted.

The fact is that many users on LBC have tried to chargeback using PayPal and others have tried to buy accounts with positive trust. It makes these trusted users appear as scammers and newbies can be easily tricked by scammers. Here, the OP wants to buy bitcoins and hence LBC can be a good option but without any positive trust, it would be difficult to trade via PayPal.

Without an ID or accepting cash payments, the only option is to trade via other unsafe processors like PayPal (although it's not safe) but there are users who can accept small trades like $20. You can also find a buyer here and the minimum you would need to pay is 15-20% more which makes it $23-$24 and if you can afford, go for it.

because only gambling can really "multiply" btc, but you must accept the risk.

its hard to do that now,some years ago some exchange allow us to make account without any personal ID,they have no complicate security method,but now its already change,almost all exchange have this rules. the only way to make anonymous payment with bitcoin is pay it from other person who paid by your self with paypal or cash money.

yeah ethereum is 0.01 per card currently, it was higher few days ago, there is also decred on the same boat witht he profit

There is a lot of scammers so watch out if you are doing that. It is not smart to do that and it will be not many used.
But you can try and Bitcoin will be also more popular in the future so that is quite good. And we must also hope that the value must rise.

well not even cash is anonymous, because you need to go to an atm to have it, so no matter what you do if you convert in fiat you lose your anonymity

There are many exchanges which are nowadays allowing Bitcoin trades to be held without any need of IDs, but credit cards are mandatory though at these places, if you are so concerned about your card's information and anonymity, then you should go for a VCC to buy BTC, but it would be too much costly for you if you would do like this...

As far as I know, the only well known exchange that deos not require ID verification is btc-e.com and you can buy as lettle as 0.01 btc and there are several options for dollar deposit
the other option is to look at localbitcoin on someone near you and buy in person from him

It's really difficult trading Bitcoin for fiat period. BTMs are nice if you have them around and you're not too far away from one it's an easy, trusted way to get Bitcoin. I usually use localbitcoin.com but I would be careful with the bank wire transactions. They could be easily scammers who would do a charge back.

It is hard but remember that most of the exchanges has a limit for buying and selling without any form of ID.
If you want buy 1/2 BTC I am prety sure you can do this on almost any exchange.

because bitcoin is so popular right now, it's very hard to do that without giving your ID or credit card, and to be honest, it might be even impossible

thing you cna do is find a bitcoins seller in your city and buy from him, this way you won't give your id or creditcard but it might be expensive

Somebody on this forum was buying bitcoin through the mail, which I thought was a good idea but it's the reverse of what OP needs.  I wish we'd see more of that.  The currency exchange section of this forum will no doubt solve your problem (probably already has) but it's loaded with scammers and perverts.

to buy bitcoins for 20$ only in week i think you should buy from someone in real life that sells bitcoins, because other ways are too hard and not needed if you want just 20$ in week, ATM is not good idea for you too, it is good only when you want to take large amounts of money, now 80$ in month

I don't think that is possible. Only if you can find a trusted person who credits cash into your account in return for bitcoin it is possible. Else if you don't wish to show your identity use your neighbours account for transaction.

Anybody who gives me the right amount of cash will instantly get bitcoins from me. It is very easy to buy, just find someone and buy it in person. Localbitcoins can help to find somebody.

But how do you get the cash to the seller?  If you use escrow, are you suggesting sending the cash to the escrow agent? 

I guess if you really want to stay as anonymous as possible, you could find a trustworthy person here on this forum and send them $20 in cash a month thru the mail to that person, and they could release you coins.  You can buy coins from lots of people on this forum, including me.  Just make sure you use a trusted escrow service.

I am thinking of other online alternatives, and all exchanges or even wallets require some form of id, even if it is something like a phone.  Maybe localbitcoins doesn't require a phone and just an email address, but I don't think you would be able to send funds without using id...UNLESS, and it is a big UNLESS you wanted to trade using a prepaid card.  I'm not sure if the store will require you to show an id when you pay for a prepaid card using cash.

The other problem with using prepaid cards is that, because they are the favorites of scammers, you will have to pay a premium to the seller as kind of an insurance.  For example, a $20 Amazon card will probably buy $10-$12 worth of bitcoiin.

First of all if you want use some online service to buy your coins you have to use your bank account, credit card or other payment methods like skrill, perfect money.
Your best bet is to find reputable trader here and you can discuss terms of your transaction. Or contact someone who is selling BTC on localbitcoins and met with him to trade coins.

$20 can get lost in the mail. If that happens, the sender will not know if the seller really did not receive it, or just took the money.
The seller has to give his address, so one party loses all privacy. I would not give my address just so that someone else can be anonymous.

its that site legit?i see on that buybitcoins.io available 4 payment options,its bank,skrill,moneygram and netteler,can you explain to me how can you buy bitcoins without showing any ID?i think that 4 payment required your ID.
