That said, a couple of us were impatient :D

This morning Shayan Eskandari and I decided to bootstrap a Mainnet and I would purchase keychains from him. Sam and Brian joined in to sell stuff as well (it's their project after all).

At about 3PM PST we performed the first live transactions on the OpenBazaar Mainnet with version 1.0. I purchased:

    3 SuperBitcoiner keychains from Shayan
    2 sets of 2 OpenBazaar pins from Sam
    1 can of RedBull from Brian (lol)

Shayan subsequently purchased pins from Sam as well.

The transactions went flawlessly. All 3 parties received their real bitcoins and will be shipping the products to me shortly.

Well. The screenshots look good. I think the only thing I can afford now on the list is Redbull (so cheap!). I hope that the testing will be done right with no errors and OpenBazaar will be released to the public soon. It has been a long time. There is plenty of people waiting OB grand release.

Great to see everything is in the ending part now, we were waiting for a long time and it's just matter of time before it gets flooded by orders (the moment it goes live for public). On a side note would like to vouch for Shayan, got one of his Super Bitcoiner keychains the other day, it's very nice.

I have to admit that I'm really curious how successful OB can be.
The project looks really promising but still I have a feeling it's a bit too much hype about it.
But I will definitely support it and try it out myself when it's officially launched on the mainnet.

Congratulations. You probably made a piece of history. Let's see if OB "opens shop" on the mainnet soon :)

Their name may echo down the aeons. I cannae wait to see how this develops. There are going to be some very unexpected offshoots I'm sure.

I bought USB cables on OpenBazaar over a year ago.
As for the updated OpenBazaar, I was trying to use the prebuilt binarys on Linux 64 and Win 64, but many of the directories the binary looks for are dead links.
If anyone got the 64-Bit binarys to work without many file changes, I would be surprised.
I do keep in mind this is just a test release and many bugs are expected.

Excellent. I cannot wait to try it out.  I like the design of the site and have read through the tutorials and feel ready to go. This is a much needed service and should give competitors a run for their money. Great work to all the developers!

Oh, good to know. Thanks for info. It has been a long wait. I think I try to get on OB some 2 years ago, finally the wait is over. I hope the project will be successful. I know very well how much enthusiasm it raised at the beginning, but after so much delay, many people have looked elsewhere...

i was wondering can you purchase only used stuff on open bazar? or there are new thing also like on ebay? and where is the guarantee that i'm purchasing a new thing instead of second hand?

I'm thinking of opening a small cd-shop once I figure everything out, last time I tried it was still pretty buggy (beta).

So if i understand corectly it a p2p platform for trading goods, right?
Is it specific for bitcoin or other methods are also accepted?
How long till full version? Is the unix client available?

congrats openbazaar. you made a new step of the bitcoin marketing, for the teen wishes to setup their own store, this could be the best solution for them, though only in bitcoin. in the future, we will be able to buy/sell suff without anything worries! ;D

I've been following OB for a while now, and am really looking forward to the official release.  I thought it was supposed to be ready by the end of 2015, but I guess not.  I think it will be big!  Thanks for sharing your first real transaction through it.  I'm going to wait until the official release.

It's really a good job and I am going to test it if it might work well for trading and perhaps give a gigantic increase in selling products. I appreciate this effort and loved that at last OB started. it is just the beginning I am sure towards a nice move ahead.

This pilot transaction on the new platform reminds me of the good old days when Bitcoin was making its first steps and people were exchanging funny things like a pizza for thousands of coins good memories   :D I will be checking out this new service soon. I am only little worried about random guys I am trading with not coming through with their shipping of the items.
