If you really need the flexibility a simple password authenticated http server would require dramatically less hardware than a bitcoin wallet. Just watch a specific bitcoin address on the blockchain which triggers the action. No wallet needed. Also, you need to check that you were the sender of the transaction, otherwise your dog might start buying bitcoins so he can get food whenever he wants (or you piss someone off and they dump all your food).
