Hey everyone. Very new to this bitcoin thing. I'm a complete newb. But I think I can help (for a small fee) many users that have been scammed. I own a small collection and investigative agency. We can reverse some IP's and email, but focus heavily on finding people in the US. We can take a license plate and reverse it (in any state) and come back with loads information about that person. Get an SSN with someone's name and location, reverse cell phone numbers, find addresses and so much more. Is there a need for this on the website and how would I go about making money by utilizing my skills and access, without breaking forum rules?

Any input would be appreciated.

There might be some people interested in your services on the forum. I would open a thread in the services section of the marketplace forums once you're out of newbie jail. Break down your services into a list with prices either for each service or per hour or per case (however you want to charge) for people to look at. You'll also want to come up with payment options: will you accept escrow? Do you require payment up front, or only after you provide the requested information?

The more options you give people, the better success you'll have. I would recommend working out some sort of escrow, at least in the beginning: people aren't quick to trust new members with their money around here. Do your best to provide good service and you'll have a good rep in no time. ;)

If you post your sales thread on the Newbies forum I will whitelist you and move it to the Marketplace if I see you're serious about it.

Can't be careful enough. One thing that oftens happens in communities that are often scammed is that people will turn up offering to track down the scammers for money. In reality they take the money and scam-per away.

Which is why I asked for a non-trivial demonstration. Which was answered as expected with the "too busy" argument.

2. Provide some sort off credibility (not the right word i think)
Show us what you can do buy what you did before!

Good idea with the BTC. How would I show credibility? Like screenshots?  They will see what they purchase before paying...

The problem has never been finding the people, the internet makes that easy enough if you can use google and your brain.
Its the question of what are you going to do next?
Collections? You have to have legal documents and all that nonsense to file collections, the minute you report it to the Credit agency's you will open yourself up to lawsuits.

Thanks, but I'm very aware of the laws. I do more than Google. I have all my docs in order or I couldn't have my agency up and running for as long as I have. I never said I was reporting to the agency, just acquiring a report. And no, not collections. If the person has a legal "intent" to pursue the person, I can look them up and work the case through my sources.

Why not tell us what your agency is we all love transparency here. I may even have work for you...

Is it so that when you look up DMV records on a person, they will also get sent a notice that their record has been requested and who is requesting it? Perhaps just getting such a letter might spook a scammer into paying what he owes?

That is not so.  And yes, getting an official letter can definitely entice a scammer into paying.

You have not worked for me. And I have no problem saying who, but I'm providing investigative services, so I don't see the need.

I think he was saying he might have some work to give you, not that he worked with you.
